But Chaos King and Jevil are on about the same level as perhaps a higher level Toriel in terms on fire power, and Muffet on technique range. As Seam says, it's merely a "taste of the things to come". Chapters 2-onwards will be exponentially harder.

Jevil is not comparable to Chaos King, Toriel, or Muffet. Entirely different level.
Jevil was much harder than King. But, at least IMO, chapter 2's bosses are a bit less difficult unless you do Snowgrave.
