The problem is we have uneducated, incompetent, corrupt politicians in planning and social spaces who have messed up our city. Sakaja has made it worse
Being Kenyan is an alpha sport, winning it is another issue😮
The same is happening in South C and Donholm which were meant for bungalows only. The best solution is to build outside Nairobi like in Konza where there's plenty of space for new skyscrapers. Nairobians are getting exactly what they voted for!
But those who move there will still go with the African mentality of sluminizing his environment and it will soon start degrading into another Buru Buru and eventually into a Pipeline estate. The problem is not in the lactation but the African mindset. But the mindset challenge to Africans can be understood because there aren't many Africans who gave lived through more than 2 generations in an urban setting. Africans moved to urban centres with a village mentality. That's where the problem lies.
In Kenya our love of money will put our country into jeopardy so ihope those who are mandated in house sector both in national and county level to act with intergrity.
Are u poor?
@@AAA-sx5ej a person should not love money more than morals and integrity.
Hong Kong, Miami, New York have gone past this stage... Nairobi is not different
New York is sinking.
What a nightmare?
The problem of a country having one big city and rest of the country is left for paupers. We need to economically decentralize the country so that there is no need to further congest Nairobi, since most people think that it is the only place where one can successfully hustle. I admire how the major South African cities are at par with each other.
Come to donholm the same thing
I've got property there, donholm is very nice.
better donholm by far.....wasomali ndio wanataka kuleta tall buildings.police line tayari moja imesimama lo!

Sakaja the best governor let us build up thats development
Govt with displaced priority. The wouldn't happen if we already had better transport system; Electric Railway. Such structures would be cropping up in Mahiu Mau.
Stop complaining, this is how any city grows
@itsTheTruthTeller No, this is not proper - this is unplanned development. Properly-planned development of a city would provide infrastructure such as transport, and that would inspire building even further away from the city. There are no resources such as roads, sewerage, water, among other resources required to serve this high population.
@@kandisphere8828 @kandisphere8828 @kandisphere8828 @kandisphere8828 @kandisphere8828 so tf what if it's not proper?! It's fu**king growth and better this than remaining stagnant and not growing at all. There's transport and it's affordable. There's small towns and neighborhoods surrounding Nairobi proving that people are building further away from the city. Roads are there the previous government even built an expressway to prove that we have a good road network. Our sewer system is old and needs overhauling and we have water but the only thing stopping it from reaching ALL taps is because of cartels. That challenge that needs to be addressed is none other than the mister himself... Rutooo
The solution is simple. People should move back to the counties. With technology, remote working is possible. Vacate Nairobi in droves until the city leaders start listening and do the right thing. waachie city yao. Until then, continue suffering the congestion, inconvenience and dirt.
urbanisation is good news to people who understand economics, the future is just amazing
One word: Corruption. They need to take a look at city planning and the process of having an orderly city. Just go next door to Rwanda

@@itsTheTruthTellerThere is nothing to be gained by being impervious to experiences from elsewhere. The chaos and disorder that has been descending on Nairobi is a recipe for disaster. Our city is expanding and growing rapidly. We have to accept that, am sure there were times people had compounds in the city but growth made them relocate.
The developers and architects know this, and that's why they made such legislation.
It is not growth that made them relocate. It is chaotic growth and urban rot that made them relocate. Nairobi has been growing from early 1900's. Stop hiding behind growth to cover up the massive corrupt practices at City Hall leading to urban rot.

I really wonder what the point of building so many houses is. Who's going to live there? Their target audience certainly wouldn't want to live in such overcrowded apartments.
Kenya's population is growing and that comes with demand for housing. It's time Kenya begins to work for all Kenyans and not just a privileged few.
@@Edwachable
While it is true that our population is growing, I'm pretty sure less than half (if not less than a quarter) of our population can actually afford to live in those neighborhoods. And someone with the means to live there has options, there's no way they'll take such houses. Even right now there are still many unoccupied apartments in the area, why are they building more??
This congestion is what will eventually bring down property prices in those areas. Who wants to live in an expensive house that is always dark

Nakuru is the next option
Change is indeed inevitable
Even my city Nakuru has some order. Nairobi one of these day will be a tale of what was once the green city under the sun
But this is normal even in developed countries...ive seen people buy a beach front apartment at a premium only for another developer to block it, kenya is a free market but to be honest that building is too close for a residential building i don't think stopping it is the solution I think we should by law enforce terracing residential buildings above certain heights to alow natural light for everyone as opposed to stopping the construction boom as we have a big housing deficit.
Make more of betters places in sorrounding towns like ketengela, kiserian..now. plan when there is still young and have land.
