2021 Tuono V4 Factory owner here, completely agree with everything you've said. Funny enough I just dropped mine off last week for a leaking stator cover lol. I love this bike and would love to make it a forever bike even with the quirks. Honest and fair vid, keep it up man.
Love the bike love the content. 2023 Panigale v4 owner here. Speaking on the warranty. Ducati came with 2 years and I was able to extend it an extra 4 years for 72 months total warranty. Only cost 700$ to do so. Unlimited miles, factory Ducati EverRed warranty!
That’s awesome man! Miss my v4s, but hated when I started seeing them everywhere. I guess it was inevitable, great bike, of course other people would wanna buy it!
I was on the fence on buying a new RSV4- leaning towards the the RS 660 now. Sure it doesn't do 186mpg but damn if it doesn't check off every other box for riding as a daily and tackling track days. Less expensive, more comfortable and still damn good looking.
I'm going to keep mine forever, as long as it doesn't break down LOL. I've had mine since August 2020, brand new. It's the best sounding bike out there, a true 65 degree V4 that sounds like a MotoGP bike. The Ducati is a beautiful bike but sounds like a dual V twin. Like you, I wanted something that wasn't as common. The bike is very rideable thanks to the electronics. The riding modes only change the power delivery slightly, as well as the engine braking. I only ride in RACE, as it has the least amount of engine braking. If you want to feel the raw power of the bike, you need to turn off traction control, or turn it down. That will make a huge difference in how the bike feels (hold down the minus button to turn it off, will also turn off wheelie control). The bike has the ability to dial up and down the TC on the fly, which is unique. The mid corner feel of the RSV4 is just world class. There's a reason why the chassis has barely changed in 9 years, and only on the 2021 models have a new swingarm.
Yeah. This is the only time i turned up traction control on a bike cuz everything is wet. I wish they sold bikes with no traction control and no modes. Just give me the bike as is and let me be the traction control lmfao
@@adobomoto lol just turn it off then, but it's risky. Riding the bike, you don't think 217HP is a lot, but only because it's managed. Like you could sneeze and flip your bike if it's off. LOL
Great video as always and yes, you're correct. The BMW warranty is only 3 years however I've got my team looking into the option to purchase and extended warranty through the dealership. Things work a little different here in Japan. I'll let you know how that works out.
If you were to sell off you RSV4 today, what would you replace it with? I believe there are people that are apprehensive towards certain bikes/brands (like the RSV4) that they perceive as overly exotic, or on some elevated plane because of their purchase price. This most definitely contributes to them being unwilling to do maintenance, repairs, or upgrades, on these bikes, either from insecurity, or some misguided belief that this should only be undertaken by a highly trained factory mechanic. I download the actual Service Manuel for my bikes, which give me everything I need to know to service every aspect of the bike. (Just because I have the info, doesn't mean there aren't many things that I would much rather hand over to the dealer to handle!) [Man, do I need some coffee! I’m eyeing the RS660. My local aprilia dealer is a bunch of race and track geeks like me. We had a conversation about the zx4rr and how the steel frame ruined that bike. The rs660 we were conversing over that was at their shop is a 370lb race bike with about 100 to the rear wheel. The rs660 is a no brainer over the zx4rr because you’re dealing with that heavy steel frame. The only other bike I would go after is the R6.
Aprilia's are pretty popular in Vancouver BC, I have a 2020 Tuono Factory, same paint scheme as your bike. I made the mistake of riding one and then couldn't stop thinking about it. I am friends with 3 other Aprilia owners and know a couple more. No major issues among us so far. It's good to know a great mechanic for valve adjustments etc, but I don't think they are too unreliable. I too had to get some gaskets changed though.

Your definitely taking the fact that the bike is leaking way better than I would. I guess its somewhat expected to happen on an old bike with dry seals but not a one year old premium bike like that. I guess you take the good with the bad with these Italian, exotic bikes we love?
I had a bren tune on the bmw not the rsv4. To be honest i had the dealer flash my bike before i even brought the bike home so i can’t tell you either way. Also, their upmap is unique to their shop because they are also a race/track shop. So they had their flash approved by aprilia. So it’s an aprilia approved flash, but not from aprilia. My flash is from racers lol
It’s a beautiful bike! Best color scheme I’ve seen on this Aprilia. BMW Motorrad offers an additional 4 year warranty in addition to the standard 3 year for a total of 7 years. That’s a lot of worry free years.
I think the issues with Aprilia are as you have noted... prone to leaks, spotty dealer network, and the valves are the weak part of the motor. If you ride the bike hard or track it, you need to do the valves every 6k miles or you are likely to have expensive issues like valve guide wear on the rear cylinders that can require replacement of the head. The local master tech at our dealer said that if you do track days a lot, you need to do the valves after every second track day.
Kawasaki’s warranty is a year unlimited mileage, but you can purchase a 3-5 year extension with Kawasaki before the year warranty is up , I got Kawasaki’s extension for the extra 5 years which cost me around $750.00 which is $150. Per year which breaks down to 12 bucks a month and is 3 bucks a week which is less than 50 cents a day for their factory warranty , which I believe is hard to beat , it’s already paid for itself with the couple of times I took it in for issues , like the shifter was not working correctly, and a couple of adjustments with the bars and the fork neck was making noise … but warranty paid for it all 😊

Rear sets I’d recommend Giamoto or anything AF1 offers. I’d probably get another tune either Gabro’s Upmap or Open Flash Tablet from Shiv. Both reputable tuners on this plat. Along with velocity stacks from Gabro if you’re feeling frisky lol. I know a lot of people have issues with Aprilia’s, but if you treat them well and have a solid dealer they’re as reliable as any other brand. Oh and get some Tech Spec tank grips. That matte paint is super slippery to grip. Also, loved the intro 😂😂

I've been wanting an Aprilia Tuono V4 for years now. I'm seriously thinking of getting one in the next month or two so thanks for the content showing us what you've experienced in terms of maintenance. I'm currently have a Kawasaki Z900RS that I bought new 2 yrs ago and that's not going anywhere. I like it a lot, but damn Aprilia bikes are just sexy.
Look out for the coolant leak in cooler climates because the spring clamps lose tension below 25f and coolant will sweat and collect on the valley between cylinders
I thought you lived in Washington State. I'm down in Tacoma and the fact that Bellevue is the only Aprilia dealer around absolutely kills it for me! Too many VERY good Japanese choices with decent dealerships that are all over the place. That's a huge deal.
I was looking at a bike just like yours for sale near me when I decided to do a little research on the RSV4. After watching your video I quickly realized that your bike was the one I was looking at for sale. 🤦♂️ The funny part is that you convinced me not to buy your bike from the video.
My Aprilia dealership is only 25 minutes away, let alone stressing about parts, waiting, and traveling long distances to get it repaired. This made my decision to buy an RS660 even easier.
Brother, there’s a 2010 rsv4 by my dealer with 17k kml on it. Dealer is sking 9g’s for it. I think it’s a reasonable price. Do you think this is a good bargain. Is there anything I need to worry with a 2010 model.
Love your videos! That Aprilia V4 sounds amazing. I’m on the fence on getting the 2022 RSV4; the only thing holding me back is the distance to a dealership. I’ll have to go out of state, we don’t have any in Iowa. By the way, how makes your motorcycle carrier?
I love my 21 rsv4 factory, totally agrees with these things been prone to oil leaks mine included. I moved from TX to Renton and the local dealer is terrible from my experience.
Great bikes, i just dislike that they don’t like working with creators. Get what you like - but I definitely hate that I’m increasing their sales even just a tad by making videos about their bike.
That sucks! However I like your channel regardless. You have good advice and it is super funny. Will keep watching even if you change into a different make in the future and will probably trade my bike in for what you have. Thanks for the knowledge and wisdom. Look forward to your content! @@adobomoto
i love the way the 2020 rsv4 looks and sounds, but I couldnt justify buying a brand new bike and a year later it has leaks from normal use and is a "common " issue like its a good thing. Having to take the time to take it to a shop to get it fixed is less time from me enjoying it even if its under warranty. But thats just me, especially with something that is brand new.
I get it. People praise BMW, but mine had every single recall known. The 2015 Yamaha r1 had too long of a crank that would move side to side and cause blown motors, the 2008 cbr1000rr burned so much oil til engine failure, and the gsxrs all had bad charging systems. But everyone praises those bikes for being extremely reliable. I’ll reinforce the gaskets myself once the warranty is out and it likely won’t happen again. My 2010 rsv4 had that done and it never leaked. I think being a motorcycle owner, you definitely have to like wrenching on your bikes no matter what your ride is. If you have to rely on someone else working on your bike, you’re gonna have a hard time. Im still gonna check over everything before i ride my bike again. Other people won’t be as meticulous as me on my own bike.
Gusto ko din ng Aprilia Brand bigbike kaya ko lang is RS660 hehe :D Pero sarap marinig na "I want a motorcycle that not a lot of people have, Don't get me wrong magaganda lahat ng bikes like Japanese big 4, However, Dami na nila meron kahit dito sa Pinas, So I want to have unique or at least hindi common sa daan :) Enjoy ko review mo about this RSV4.
My nearest Dealer is three hours away. I just took my bike in for warranty work the very gaskets you were referring to. But then I got a phone call my cylinder head needs to be replaced because I've been burning oil.. 2020 Factory 1100 6,500 miles on her. But I fully agree I don't like the new model compared to this one.
I recently bought the ‘22 Rsv4 and had them install an SC exhaust and I constantly get the red urgent service now light. I was told by my dealer that the only way to get that error light to stop turning on is to install the upmap? Do you ever have this issue because of the after market exhaust or have you heard of this issue? Maybe you haven’t since you already had the upmap? Thanks so much!
@@adobomoto got ya. Thanks for the feedback. So you think the upmap is legit when you install a new exhaust? I kept getting the urgent service at high speeds after that was installed. I think they told me Aprilia voids the engine warranty when you install upmap though. That’s why they told me I have to do it as they don’t? In what way did you have issues with the stick battery?
Im riding an Aprilia RS125 for 3 years now (almost 30k kilometers) and the only problems I had with it were caused by me not knowing how to properly care for it. Now I'm trying to get myself an A2 license but unfortunately Aprilia's A2 bike is locked 660 which means it's way out my price range. But when im gonna have a full license and get bored of an used Ninja 400 or R3 im definitelly going to save up for another Aprilia bike. This little lawnmower altered my brain chemistry and made me fall in love with the brand. Who knows maybe my next bike is going to do the same thing the RS125 did, but you know what they say about first love :D
Aprilia warranty is almost pointless when the dealerships are pretty inconvenient, can't get parts for months, and try to gaslight you into thinking it's how the bike is supposed to operate. My '22 Tuono V4 overheats anytime I hop off the freeway, in parking lots, around town, at stoplights, dealer response "these bikes run hot". Took my own time to diagnose incorrect coolant for everyone, fixed that, bike still overheats. It's barely roadworthy when you never know when it will shut off from temps, especially since when your using the dashboard navigation it doesn't show you temperature so it's anyone's guess when it will just turn off on you. Almost got hit in the rear the other day when a light turned green right as the bike shut off. It also consumes about a quart of oil every 1k,km and I guess the coolant is evaporating at an alarming rate as well. Your a marketing professor so is this a case of mismatched consumer expectations or is the product legitimately failing to fulfill it's most basic purpose as a road going vehicle. You tell me.
As for "the upgrades", if you can call it like that, I would go for sliders/chrash pads, just incase. To gorgeous of a bike to be sliding on the tarmac on a bad day.
I'm so torn on buying the 2023 RSV4. I have a 2017 CBR1000RR and I've seen the new black and red 2023 RSV4 color. I've been binge watching some videos to try and help if I want to go through with the purchase or not.
Lol my sr50 has many electrical errors but maybe its bcs it fell 2 times alredy idk im not good at mechanic stuff when it comes to bikes ir cars but i might get a honda next before learning anything abt bikes
Meanwhile my 2014 track bike, crashed her 4 times and zero mechanical issues, funny all the guys I know that also have V4 track bikes don't have any issues, it's almost like these things were made just for the track or something ?
Beautiful and great performance….but piss poor reliability. Period. I have owned a 2012 factory and still have. Countless trips to the dealer of headaches. Even today’s Aprilias are still having issues. And yes, these bikes needs good mechanics and that is what Aprilia is lacking. In 2012 many have owned Aprilia in my circle of riding friends here in Southern Cali . Now, they all have sold it because it’s garbage. Ducati is far more reliable than the Aprilia now days. Before, Ducati were just piss poor on reliability. Rule of thumb, if you have an Italian bike, better have a Japanese to back it up. lol
Here’s my thoughts. If i could turn off all the electronic aids and put the bike in full power mode all the time, I would. This is for every one of my bikes. Right now that im riding in the wet, i think traction control is at 3. If it was dry it would be at the lowest and least intrusive. I hate learning other “modes.” Give me all the power and let my throttle hand be traction control
Hey man! Great vid, I’m looking at getting either a brand new RSV4F, new BMW S1000RR or a 2020 Ducati V4S. Just one question… which Carrier have you put on the back of your truck? Looking at getting one myself, but I always like to go off a real person’s recommendation, rather than yelp/trust pilot reviews etc… Thanks man and ride safe! 🤙🏼
I flew off a mountain street racing an R1M having blacked out prior to the accident i have no idea what happened. No one does. My buddies just heard me say no no no on com and that was it. I book ended my pelvis broke my arm and lost ALL my blood. I was airlifted to trauma where they put me backgether after having put me in a coma for a month. They were shocked i was not dead. Everyone kept coming up to me telling me this. 6 months later several surgeries i was back on the bike. LOL not the 2018 RSV4 RF my baby was destroyed. Now i have a V4S Ducati. The Ducati is more manic which i like I do miss my Aprilia. Still have no clue what happened. I had a friend who sold his because he said its tried to kill him a few times. He said the electronics have died out in high performance turns making him almost losing it. So i think to myself what if that happened to me and i never adjusted in time? I dunno... cause i have track exp, and I'm still an ass. I just ran from 8 cops. So i know i got it, but i have no clue what happened. Its hard to come to grips a month of your life is missing. Please do a video impersonating different moto vloggers 😂🤣 great content man!
Keep up the grind brother 💪🏼
Tuono V4 owner, I feel your pain. 2nd time at the dealer for TPS warranty work. Dealer is 1-1/2 hours away on a good day. (Atlanta traffic)
If replacing gasket with oem.....? Would it not leak again? After warranty runs out then ouch.....
Have you looked into the Triumph Speed Triple RR?
Does anyone know what the rack is on the back of his pickup? I’d love to get one they look handy.
Where the you get that bike trailer?

I love my 21 rsv4 factory, totally agrees with these things been prone to oil leaks mine included. I moved from TX to Renton and the local dealer is terrible from my experience.
Glad to know I'm not the only one missing motonosity.
Am I understanding correctly, that I can upgrade my Aprilia, and it’ll still be under warranty?
Thanks for your TH-cam channel, I have been interested in aprilia. I trust my flip brother coming from another flip. Thanks Bro!
@@adobomoto
Is that a Imkay pic on the dash ?
The square ones look good for sure. Baaaaabeeee
I’m looking to get my first liter bike this year going to get a Honda CBR1000FireBlade SP
I want this ramp !
What is it?
Where can I buy it?
i love the way the 2020 rsv4 looks and sounds, but I couldnt justify buying a brand new bike and a year later it has leaks from normal use and is a "common " issue like its a good thing.
I don’t think you’ll find a bike that’s new that you won’t have to take to the shop for warranty work at some point lol
Any thought on 2022 rsv4 do they have similar issues or were they fixed with the new platfrom?
I doubt it. But it’s just a valve cover gasket. Not a huge deal and hardly an issue imo
How does it deliver its power?
LinearLY
Yeah you definitely need the upmap. But also, i would upgrade to a shorai battery. The stock lithium is garb. I have to keep my bike on a trickle
As a aprilia tech just this last week 6 rsv4 & tuonos came in for that exact reason oring on spark plug
The Macallan 12 prop was swank AF 😂
They are releasing a 457cc now
Hey I’m the same height as you do you have any vids where you’re on your bike as visual representation?

Let's go Adobo 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍. You always bring the facts w the comedy
What type is that Moto Carrier Brand & Name, and Where can you find it!?!?
Thanks Brada, Good Stuff...I'm tuned in!
Ride On💎🤙🏽
Aprilia warranty is almost pointless when the dealerships are pretty inconvenient, can't get parts for months, and try to gaslight you into thinking it's how the bike is supposed to operate.
The rsv4 is sick, it must be a hoot everytime you get on it
I love it
I didn't know you had a bmw m package, why did you get rid of that ,bmws are great,i own both rf,bmws1000rr
As for "the upgrades", if you can call it like that, I would go for sliders/chrash pads, just incase. To gorgeous of a bike to be sliding on the tarmac on a bad day.
Just had my spark plug o-ring fixed last week on my rs660 up at OPM. They said it was a pretty common thing.
Yeah, on all the rsv4’s tuonos and now the half version 660’s. A lot of people just live with it til
Valve adjustment time
BABEEEEEEE!!!! LOL sorry i had to. You left the door open and i TOOK IT! 😈
I live in an EU country where the 3 year warranty is the minimum you are obligated by law to offer, so BMW over here extends it up to 5 years.
I'm so torn on buying the 2023 RSV4. I have a 2017 CBR1000RR and I've seen the new black and red 2023 RSV4 color. I've been binge watching some videos to try and help if I want to go through with the purchase or not.
Sound and styling is the difference, if that’s what you want, do it
Imma get an rsv4 2014. You think its still worth it. Kailangan ko ng opinion mo bro please hehey
Should get a 5th gen ZX10R👀I don't see those anywhere here
Lol my sr50 has many electrical errors but maybe its bcs it fell 2 times alredy idk im not good at mechanic stuff when it comes to bikes ir cars but i might get a honda next before learning anything abt bikes
Do it with Adobo… Baybee
Do you prefer the RSV4 over the V4 you had?
Meanwhile my 2014 track bike, crashed her 4 times and zero mechanical issues, funny all the guys I know that also have V4 track bikes don't have any issues, it's almost like these things were made just for the track or something ?
So far Tuono V4 2023 did not take a leak , not single drop
It’s the RSV4 BAYYYBEEEEE
Beautiful and great performance….but piss poor reliability. Period. I have owned a 2012 factory and still have. Countless trips to the dealer of headaches. Even today’s Aprilias are still having issues. And yes, these bikes needs good mechanics and that is what Aprilia is lacking. In 2012 many have owned Aprilia in my circle of riding friends here in Southern Cali . Now, they all have sold it because it’s garbage. Ducati is far more reliable than the Aprilia now days. Before, Ducati were just piss poor on reliability. Rule of thumb, if you have an Italian bike, better have a Japanese to back it up. lol
U ride in race mode, didn't mention Ur thoughts on sport n track modes
Here’s my thoughts. If i could turn off all the electronic aids and put the bike in full power mode all the time, I would. This is for every one of my bikes. Right now that im riding in the wet, i think traction control is at 3. If it was dry it would be at the lowest and least intrusive. I hate learning other “modes.” Give me all the power and let my throttle hand be traction control
@@adobomoto hold down the minus button to turn it off.. but you might not want that, even in the dry.
I have a ducati in Portugal and the closest dealership is 3h away :D
how to measure inseam can anyone tell me
you friends with Imkay? That's him on your dash yea? 😂
I'm sorry but I live in Texas however is driving an hour or 45 minutes really that big of a deal doesn't seem much to me
I dont hear any quirks besides parts. Riding it, is a phenomenal bike. Rsv4 1100 are more relaible than previous years
I love Aprilia‘s
Race mode I taught it was road sport and track w road been the slowest
The aprillia can't be to bad since you still own it
Carbon fiber wheels do more than any of those other upgrades.
Adoooboooo
Hey man! Great vid, I’m looking at getting either a brand new RSV4F, new BMW S1000RR or a 2020 Ducati V4S.
Just one question… which Carrier have you put on the back of your truck? Looking at getting one myself, but I always like to go off a real person’s recommendation, rather than yelp/trust pilot reviews etc…
Thanks man and ride safe! 🤙🏼
watching this after dropping my tuono660 at the workshop with all the weird codes my dealer told me after doing obd scan. sighhh T.T
I'm in dallas, I havnt seen 1 other 19 like mine. Seen a few 2020s, more 21s here
Real on the Motonosity comment. 🤣😭
I have a Bajaj dominar 400 and we get 5 years of warranty and upto 75k warranty
LETS GO BBAAAAYYYY BEEEEE
Also, just while you were climbing out the window like spider-man i saw that there is a....spider-man mas on the table. Nice seeing you Mr Parker
🫣 don’t tell my secret 🤫
Just gone.
Sounds like maybe you should slow down on the street racing and stick to the track where there’s no cliffs to fall off of
You mentioned Dylan but no mention of Powamoto u hurt my feelings adobo😭😭😭😫😝☝️👉👀💃💫👺

A problem I’ll never experience since I’ll stick with yamaha R3 til I save enough for the r1
The 2015 r1 had a major issue with the crank being too long and blowing motors lmao 😂 japanese bikes are just as bad. I’ll take a leaky gasket
I owned the 2015 r1 as a race bike and the 2015 r1m as a street bike
So, I have 541 days left in being able to get my bike brands spanking new, and with no notes,................ so I thought. I did the most stupidest thing ever. I called my local motorcycle dealership to see if they had the new 2023 model of my bike, and of course good news they have two of them. Bad news, I inquired the asking price out the door. Meow of course I know about service fees Freight fees and all other fees that they're adding to the MSRP price. What I didn't understand is it's $3,000 over what I expected! Meow I'm bummed out. I thought in 541 days I thought it would have enough to cover my bike but I guess wrong. Meow I got to figure out what to do next when that 541 days run out. I don't want to wait any longer because I'm going stir crazy. I don't want to borrow money either from family cuz I know what that's going to be like hell no. So, I might have to go out of state and find last year's model 2022. In 541 days will go we'll see what's going to be. I am not giving up. I am not going to lose hope. I will get my bike. I don't care if I have to get it in another state 500 miles away. I'm going to get my bike my brand new bike.
And instead of NOS you can get a turbo
