I haven’t been to Nassau in 14 years and my parents and I will be going in December on Carnival Freedom.

@@tjandcj123 hello. No I didn’t have a map. I’ve been to Nassau at least 8 times so I know my way (mostly) around areas near the port. This is an easy walk but plan on it taking 15-20 min depending on how fast you walk. Enjoy your time in Nassau!

That was my family's first trip on the Liberty. We had a blast. That trip will always hold so many memories for us. We got yo take my dad, my mom had passed away from cancer . But then here comes covid and we lost my dad

It wasn’t that bad. about a mile there and a mile back. You can also catch a taxi but it’s like $15-20 just to go for a 3-5 minute ride. Worth it though if you don’t want to walk.
I went to Junkanoo Beach in April. It was amazing. The beach was Beautiful..the drinks were delicious and the music was great. Police were everywhere so I felt very protected. Only downfall is that the winds were high so we couldn't do any water sports.
Yes it’s definitely beautiful. I did say the next time we go we will try some of the water sports so we will definitely consider the wind before walking over. Thanks!

It has been a long time since I have been to Nassau went there on my 1st Disney cruise, excited to get back in August

Yes a lot has changed at the port! And there is still a lot of construction going on.

That’s a nice beach. Such pretty water. As many times as I’ve been to Nassau, I’ve never been to that beach.
Yes definitely try to get there. A free/cheap option just to hang out and be at the beach.
I LOVE SIGHTSEEING. I BEEN TO NASAU 6 OR 7 TIMES, I BEEN TO THE BEACH 1 ONCE. RIGHT DOWN FROM THE STRAW MARKET AROUND THE CORNER IS WHERE THE BAR/RESTATURANT WAS WITH THE 190 OCTANE SLUSHIES. THEY HAVE BUILT MUCH, THIS WAS BACK IN 2017 LAST TIME I WAS IN BAHAMAS, NASSAU.

Yes ma’am. Do it next time you are in Nassau and just want to hang out. Walk further down the beach to avoid crowds. Take cash for drinks and chairs.

You’ll have a great time. We almost always get a cabin on the lido but honestly after our last cruise on Carnival Sunrise we had problems with kids/teens running the halls late at night, tearing down door decorations, and just being loud. I’m not ok with being between decks 6 and 7. (Don’t do deck 8 if lido deck is on 9 because you can hear all of the movement of chairs and tables).

Hey RacQuelle. I know has been a while since you went to Junkanoo Beach. The last time I went (2019) their lounge chairs were not the best, have then gotten better ones? I am planning a trip on the Oasis and may stop pass Junkanoo versus going to Margaritaville. Thanks.
The chair were decent when we were there. Just a standard beach chair. They were clean and comfortable to me. So maybe they changed them out recently.

I agree with the burritos! They are the best! I don’t usually go in the straw market but my nieces were hoping to find a backpack (it was actually a much better experience than the one I had Precovid!)
Curious, my family and I 6 of us including my 80 year old Mom will be going. Is there a way we can get transported from the ship to the end of dock so she doesn't have to walk that far? We will be taking a taxi once at the entrance. Thanks in advance.
Yes there is. You just need to go to guest services and ask for a ride to the entrance of the port. It’s only available for those who need assistance so I’m not sure if they’ll let your entire family get on. But it’s a golf kart. I’m not 100% sure but I think there is a meeting place right outside the ship for those needing assistance. Definitely double check at guest services.

Oh yes. The breakfast burritos are the best breakfast food on Carnival, in my opinion. Jalapeño wrapper with Mexican style eggs, extra potatoes, pico, onions, and cheese 😋

Yep. Never pay the first price. They know tourists are willing to spend so they jack the prices up.
Are there any bathrooms to change clothes once you leave the beach?
Yes there are bathrooms. We usually just go back to the ship just the way we are.

Hello! How much a taxi charge you to the beach?
We walked to the beach- didn’t use a taxi. But I heard it’s about $20 total each way for up to 4 people.
Where you stay in Orlando? What’s prices from airport to hotel?
For this cruise I stayed at the Embassy Suites Orlando Airport (there is a video on my channel). Embassy Suites offers a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I believe they stop running around 1-2am. I then Ubered to the port for about $60 for the 3 of us which is cheaper than the $35 offered by Carnival and GoPort.
Was there a bathroom at junkanoo?
Yes there is one near the main entrance.
You say chairs for 10 dollars… how many you get for that price?
One chair for $10
It takes longer then 15 minutes to get to the beach more like 30 minutes
Depends on which way you are walking and how quickly. It definitely only took me 15 minutes and I wasn’t walking quickly.

We went to Junkanoo Beach back in 2016 when we were there for our honeymoon. We were well taken care of with chairs, lunch and unlimited drinks for a very reasonable price!
