  • After the disruption of World War II, Walt Disney struggled to revive his studio, wallowed in self-reflection and nostalgia, and became obsessed with miniature railroads. The financial pressures at the studio forced him to take his idea for an amusement park and literally make it tiny. It wasn't meant to be, but this project's legacy lives on in his park's name.
In this seven part series, we explore the experiences that shaped Walt Disney's desire to build his own magical world, and how he eventually came to realize that dream.

Note: I've heard Roger Broggie's named pronounced as both "brah-gee" and "broh-gee". I go with the former in this video series, but if you've got video of someone who would actually know, like his sons, pronouncing it, please stick it in the comments below! Thanks!

I don’t understand why these videos don’t have more views. There’s so much here I didn’t know!! 😁

We’re still a pretty new channel, but it’s been interesting to see the numbers grow over the past couple months.

I totally agree!!! As a lifelong Disney fan, it is incredibly rare that when I watch a Disney video that I say "I didn't know that". This video made me say that a number of times! I had to add a comment (and subscribe) in the hopes your channel takes off! Well done!

    Another amazing video.
Something funny about the name Disneylandia (which I never really liked), its the bad translation Spain give to the Disneyland parks in any promo videos. Magazines, news reports, tv shows, everytime disneyland appeared somewehre, it was translated as Disneylandia here. Even when Eurodisney appeared in 1992 (which was a project for Spain and not france at the beginning), news called it eurodisneylandia. It wasnt till recently when we were finally accoutumed no not use the landia ending, and even then some old people still call it that.

Thanks for the info. That's really cool. Apparently this was also a thing in Latin America, too (or at least Colombia, and presumably elsewhere). Despite living with a Colombian for the last 13 years, I didn't know this until I read your comment and asked. XD
