I’m cracking up at this new map. There are a bunch of people in my area planting new perennials that they believe are going to survive because of these map changes. The closest weather station to me is about 30 miles, and close to the Arkansas river. The weather data consistently runs 5 to 7° warmer than the “weather station” in my backyard, a.k.a. a traditional thermometer. sometimes there’s as much as a 10° difference. They are going to be a lot of dead plants next year that were newly planted this fall and winter.😅

The paying friend swears on micro- climates and lots of mulch!??! Challenge Accepted !! I'm willing to lose 5 dollars if I'm wrong. 😂

Remember when Hurricane Maria hit, many people complained about the US sending so much help to "other countries" not realizing Puerto Rico is in the US. They are US citizens who pay US taxes but don't get to vote and don't have representatives in Congress (taxation without representation).
