But the only thing that has helped me with this kind of people is for them to see me with a male who is able to approach them or ask them questions in a kind but serious way. Even a “good morning” or “oh I haven’t seen you before” I swear it has helped me so much especially being a tiny latina migrant in Berlin. Funny how misogyny actually “helps”. I had a N*zi neighbor who was raising fake complaints about me. If the apartment owner is kind enough, aske them to reach that woman to check on any complaints. Also always prentend to be in a videocall and record them when they follow you. You can even say “oh yes that’s my neighbour again :)” and keep talking about something else. These people do this because they see you alone. If you can also make her aware you are .. say.. involved with an animal protection organisation, even if it’s not true, do it. I know how horrible it is to feel your doggie could be endangered by her venomous nature.
That is great advice! I will definitely pretend to be on the phone, then maybe she will back off. I do wish I had a tall and intimidating male around who could just be seen with me. It definitely makes people think twice about targeting you if they see you with a man.

You may need to look into moving into a nice mobile home park or townhouse complex so you can possibly live in your own quarters but still have community. No one living over or under you is such a relief and your dog will have space if you in one of the above communities. Happy to see that you have posted. 😊

There are so many creeps in this world, but stay safe and make sure you let people know if something is wrong. People are really bad, and dogs are very smart; they know when something is off.
I agree. Dogs know when something is off. Last night my neighbor followed my dog and I on our walk. It was dark but my dog kept turning around and keeping track of her. Currently thinking of actions I can take to feel safe again. Thank you for the advice.

Girl, we live in an apartment and this one old lady would always open her blinds passive aggressively whenever we walk by 😂. This one time she yelled “stop pooping on my lawn!!” Even though she technically don’t own picnic property in an apartment and we always pick up our dog poo😅. My husband in return passive aggressively always encourages the doggies to poop on the front near her door though. It’s hilarious. Some people are super sensitive to dogs; just ignore and go about your day.
I hope this hasn't been going on for long, she probably is a more paranoid type of nittpicky person as she also has problems with other neighbors, and hopefully with time this will pass as, assuming nothing happens. As far as her watching I wouldn't be bothered by it, hell personally I'd even pass her window every single time just to show how "intimidated" I am lol. I mean all she's doing is draining and making herself crazy over nothing, but that's her problem. As long as she is always leashed outside free zones, and other neighbors aren't bothered it should be fine.

I can relate to what your saying when it comes to your dog😮,my pit mix is particular about who they like and YES they can scense bad people and know when your uncomfortable. I let my 2 dogs loose as well in a gigantic field which everyone uses to let their dog burn off energy by running loose or just to walk them on their leashes,its only when someone pops up suddenly is when he will of course notice,lucky for me nothing serious has happened.

You never know what people are going through. People can, too often, have a maladaptive response to trauma; negatively manifesting it in the form of physical threats of harm. It’s plausible that your neighbor has their own dog-related trauma, and saying they’re going to kill yours is their version of an insecure, self defense mechanism. Not that it’s okay to say that, but it’s telling to me that they evidently didn’t try to escalate beyond that. Maybe they were just looking out the window, thinking back to the encounter with some regret, and you caught their field of vision. I just want to advance the notion that there may be a way to assess this without burdening yourself. Don’t hold it in. I’m glad you have the courage to make these videos and speak openly about the sort of thing. I myself have nuisance neighbors I’m dealing with, and it’s not easy. Hang in there.

Dogs are far from judging anything, my cousin had a dog who barks at everyone, even bit his own child. Dog's owner who say dogs are the best judges or what ever are hella delusional.

Perhaps the dog barks a lot and lunges aggressively when you are not around. Its best to drop the excuses, your insights, and deal with the problem and be respectful to your neighbours. They have a right to be protective towards their child.
