Left-handers unite
I have GMK stick and unmapped my movement keys so I could put builds: floor on M, stairs on k, wall on L and cone on forward slash. Then I put weapons on the keys around them.
It took me around 30 hours to become comfortable (not good or natural) with the new mappings and movement .The first few hours were a horror show of pulling out guns instead of builds, falling because I was placing the wrong builds.

I played wasd and switched to gmk. I was alr good on wasd, but I persisted on getting better with the gmk. Oh man how much I got better, I noticed a significant change and developed a whole new play style. Do I think it was worth it, yes! 100%
i agree but theres a input switch bug rn so you cant really play with it in fortnite anymore till epic fixes it with a update
I remember when I switched to a joystick (I made my own)
I took like a month to get decent with the binds, but I think if you keep at it, you'll probs get better than you were on wasd because the binds are more optimized.
Also I play on the right side of my keyboard. That way I use spacebar to jump (with my pinky) and I have all the other keys for my first finger to use.
Just keep at it, and you'll find your binds!

Wish I never tried switching to this. I got 2 of em and both broke so fast. At the time when I was learning them it took over a month to order a new one so when it breaks you have to wait forever for a new one. Waste of money and skill. Sorry but not sorry. Worst part too is right after I switched and started to learn it became the meta to just use a double movement software instead.

nice progression, its hard as hell making a switch like this. however. you being on low ping. you are already at a very hgih advantage over 95% of the fortnite population. under 10 ping is god mod. im 55+ in creative. and 60+ in pubs. you have well over 40 ms of a headstart over a player like myself. shitjust ain t fair homie. im still hitting champs every season dont get me wrong. but i teleport, stutter and have to predict the future while fighting player that are 20 ping and under. 10 ping and under.. not even fair.

If you're going to spend that much on just a joystick to only have it slide your keyboard around and have your fingers all spread out trying to hit keys, why don't you just get something similar to a Razor Tartarus? The ergonomics of that seems way better than this.
