Pittsburgh 3 Ton Floor Jack - Quick Setup

- Epic Help shows you how to quickly get your new Pittsburgh 3 ton heavy duty rapid floor jack operational. This jack was purchased from Harbor Freight Tools and the instructions that came with it are not good for assembly. If you follow these steps and find out your jack will not hold a load, then you will probably need to purchase some jack oil. Since this jack is new it already has jack oil and should not need any more.

Who else was watching this video to see how to remove the plastic piece ‽.. 😂
Yuuuuuuuuup
😂
Really ? lol I took that out with my hand
Mine must've been jammed because no amount of hand force could remove it
Same here, i accidentally bent the rod it was attatched too, do you think it will cause issues in the future @ackmanxx
Ok, I feel pretty fuckin stupid right now. In my defense, there were no instructions in my box but without this video I would've never taken that rubber piece out or figured out how to lock the handle.
have had one of these jacks for almost two years now, working great well worth buying
Thank you sir, I accidentally broke my plastic thing before I got here but the video was helpful.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!

Lol same I thought I broke it and had to take it back
Exactly I wanted to know Step 3 and step 4. It was helpful. Thanks.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a good one ! TFS
Damn paper instructions are a mess of useless double talk. They should have just put a link to this video.
Thank you so much! Me and my husband just got a new jack and you gave us better instructions than the directions that came with the jack !
Glad this video helped. Thanks for watching!
Your the man, thanks
Thank you for the good video. Very helpful!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for showing this!
Thanks for watching!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING VIDEO!!!!!!!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Thank you!!!
Anyone know if the slate grey version is essentially the same?
This video helps you setup your new jack quickly. If you successfully finish step 6 in this video, which is a load test, you probably don't need jack oil. Hope this helps with any misunderstandings.
***Some jacks need oil, so if step six fails then add oil.
Literally the information I was looking for. THANKS
Is it normal for the Jack to settle a bit when it’s pumped to maximum height without load? Mine always seems to lower perhaps half an inch to an inch. It’s just out of the box and I have yet to use it under load.
Yes, I found this to be normal when pumped to the max height.
The instructions said to top off the hydraulic fluid before using. Is that Necessary or does it already come with enough in there to be functional
So does mine.
If you successfully finish step 6 in this video, which is a load test, you probably don't need jack oil.
Does the handle supposed to stop or keep going in circles
It keeps on spinning, so a few spins should do it.
Should I top off the jack oil on the new jack?
I just bought one of these.
Do everything in this video. If it holds the load of a vehicle, then the oil level is good. The jack is new and probably does not need extra oil.

Thanks for the help.
The hole is small, how do I know if it's full?
Do I just fill till I see the oil level reach the threads.
@@EpicHelp Mine actually needed oil, they mustve updated this once they figured customers had to buy separately and were getting annoyed lol
Some of them do need oil, but from my experience most don't need it.
Why is the oil leaking everytime I try to pump the jack ?
How come my pumps out oil everytime i pump???? 😢 any help i just barely am using it after buying it a week ago
How many times did you turn counter clockwise? Could be a bad seal of some kind, I’m sure they’d exchange it if you just recently purchased.
Thank you. The directions that come with it are crappy, quite useless. I work very well with graphics and demonstrations. Somehow manufacturers are too lazy to include just those basics graphics for first time users. Thanks again. Didn’t even know about the little plastic piece u til I watched your video, thank you.
I'm glad this video helped you. Thanks for watching!
Is the handle removable ?
Yes.
my directions said to fill the reservoir.
So did mine. Now you know why I made this video. Thanks for watching!
Followed this and Jack did not pump 🤷🏻♂️
Then you need oil or the jack is defective.
