Not being critical but trying to impart some knowledge on the the subject.
You are making an error in tightening the bridge screws all the away down. The front edge of the bridge is slightly tapered (thickness wise) and when you over tighten the screws the front edge will dig into the face of the guitar when you use the tremolo. This will cause perment indentions if used. Fender recommends to tighten until the screw stops and then back it off 1/4 turn to a 1/2 turn for each screw.
Now to address the tuning stability issue, it is usually due to the nut being cut wrong. The slots may be too small for the particular gauge of string, thereby causing the string to pinch in the slot and not returning the the right location after being fretted. It is essential that the string move freely to and fro in the nut slot w/o binding.
I hope this helps. Keep on working at it !

I think so. I’m not good at remembering all the different finish options.

Interesting - never heard of doing it that way for that reason. I have the trem floating on both my strats - one is a two point, the other a six point - both float the same - when I pull up on the bar, the pitch changes by a half step. Both stay in tune. The two point uses a trem setter the six point does not. What both guitars share in common is locking tuners and nuts that don't bind. Again - they stay in tune

This isn’t for every strat/person. My client was having a hard time with it and now he loves it. Just problem solving.

    Zero Knowledge or Understanding.
Pretty much everything you said is nonsense.

I hear ya, guitar setups are hard. This stuff especially can be confusing for a beginner. What part are you having a hard time understanding?

Sadly he is right - though not very polite or vaguely humorous.

@@moosey62 This is what my customer wanted and he was very happy with it and I’ve done this for many happy customers. God forbid people do things differently. One thing I’ve learned from the internet is how closed minded people are.

      Erik mate. Don't take offence.
But you are doing it so wrong. xx

The strat spring setup is all about balance.
Yes, it must float, but evenly. You need back and forward movement.
FOR example: Clapton. Never uses a trem but his bridge is floating. The springs give that SCHRATOCASCHTER sound.
