Agreed. Despite the flaws of TM3 and TM4 they had the best AI hands down. The modern twisted metals is literally just 1 vs 7, really just 1v1 against an AI while the other cars just drive around the car no doing anything

I remember unlocking the unlimited ricochet bombs and applying the super explosion cheat. The London level was a blast with ricochet bombs launching everyone all over the map haha
North Pole's soundtrack's my favourite in TM3 also Tokyo's soundtrack if you're unable to beat the level quickly by luring the enemies into the trap (the large fan), cause the music gets awesome in around 2 minutes. Played this for hours with my cousin when we were around 8-12 so many times, was so much fun. I know 100% what you mean, it's a simultaneously very happy, but sad, feeling seeing this after so, so long and those memories all come to the surface of your mind.

I beat this game with Road Kill only continuing a few times the trick is to get the Health icons before the Enemys can which is bullshit since they know instantly when they re-appear. Luck plays more than Skill which is why TM3 kinda sucks

I had to find that weird considering that I've seen recent mods of this game where the some of the weapons have been retooled to be more playable like the rain missile and the mortar. Not to mention as of late I've heard people in the community speak family of this game like it's gaming, a sort of cult status. I get why I got hate back then though since it was a sequel to Twisted metal 2 which had way better maps and far better vehicle weight physics, but all the cars handled like shit.

This game was so rad back in the day. One of my most played PS1 games. The endings were horrible, but the music was great. Looking back, it's like an inferior version of 2, but it doesn't deserve the hatred so many people give it. Especially people who weren't around to play it back when the PS1 and N64 were all we had.
I've got a poster of this game on my wall. It was the first game I ever got for the PlayStation 1, twisted metal 2 had already been released two years earlier. I remember playing twisted metal 2 about a year after playing this one and I remember thinking how old it felt. This game just felt so modern and new and twisted metal 4 was even better in terms of gameplay. I know everyone says twisted metal 2 is the best, but it was my least favorite to play so it's all subjective. Twisted metal one I feel like is a red-headed stepchild doesn't get any attention but it started it all.

I like the characters in this Twisted Metal Game, the intro was so amazing, graphics look so damn good, each of the character's vehicle are pretty cool but some of them are bad, the destruction and chaos in this Twisted Metal Game is so damn satisfying, the level designs are so damn beautiful, the music is so damn badass amazing, and the atmosphere is so beautiful. Try naming another game where you actually have to unlock the character is who is the established face of the franchise? Not many, because in general it's a silly idea. It's especially bad for Sweet Teeth because he's not a good character. He's slow, doesn't turn well, is a big target, and lacks a good enough special weapon to compensate. All he has going for him is his durability, which other vehicles also have. Sweet Teeth isn't just not good enough to need to be unlocked in these games, he's not even a good character at all. To top it off Sweet Tooth has no level skip passwords in 2. Not only is he a bad character, your always have to do things the hard way with him. Minion not having passwords made sense since he's an overpowered character, but ontop of Sweet Tooth not being that good, why make it so it's harder to beat the game with him in 2?

Sweet Tooth being a secret character despite being the face of the franchise is more like how the player has to unlock Mega Man X is Mega Man X7, one of the many reasons that game is one of the black sheep of the franchise.
@hybridfury Sorry, my bad. I'm not as familiar with SM64DS, but in that case you do unlock Mario shortly into the game. Twisted Metal forces you to use a cheat to unlock Sweet Tooth, so not really the same thing. Though regardless, X7 is on entirely different level of stupid. X7 has a system of upgrades you can use on your characters and, X not being unlocked until mid way through the game leaves him underpowered compared to Zero and the new character Axel. The sad part is that if you bring X up to par, you realize that he's actually a stronger version of Axel, so if X could be used from the beginning there would be no point in ever using Axel.

I could confirm that the music doesn’t work if you play with an ISO... so it’s best to have the Disc since it’s the only way to have music play when your playing. LOL (disappointing indeed)
Well that’s how it was but when I play the game the songs are muted even when I full blast the music and only end up with nothing but normal game sounds.

I loved the game
I could confirm that the music doesn’t work if you play with an ISO... so it’s best to have the Disc since it’s the only way to have music play when your playing. LOL (disappointing indeed)
That’s where I got mine. And it comes with multiple files with 1 being the game while the rest are the songs being unused.
Well that’s how it was but when I play the game the songs are muted even when I full blast the music and only end up with nothing but normal game sounds.
We need to make a petiotion to gwt all the twisted metal games on ps4 i personally dont like black but it might be from me not playijg it as a kid

@@blowjoe8127 i dont like the pase honestly idk if its just the ps4 version but everyone feels like i hit fast foward even darkside speeds like spectre and i kinda think its unbalanced
