In THE BAD BATCH we see good clones questioning orders. Even though good soldiers follow orders. We really need to see the clone uprising we were teased in the Bad Batch season 2. It's good to be a Star Wars fan!

"I'm not brave enough for politics." ~Obi Wan
Thank you for this thoughtful video. I think the main reason that the clones didn’t fit in to the new Empire under Tarkin is that they generally weren’t and most would never be, a party to the type of self-dealing, self-promotion, and corruption that really fueled the Empire. This among the clones who couldn’t adapt to their new reality would be lost, either because shipped off to Mt. Tantiss or killed off.
It also makes me think about the member of the 501st seen panhandling in the Obiwan Kenobi series. It seems to me that this clone trooper was so devoted to service and followed programming so well that he literally couldn’t even imagine reinventing himself in his post-service life.
This also reflects the cruelty and myopia of the Kaminoans who would very purposely create sentient soldiers who, if they were lucky enough to survive their military service, would have nothing left.
Great review and breaking it down. I myself is a soldier. Army. It was wrong how the clones are treated under the Empire and so true opportunities for themselves not for the collective. I had some bad orders in service and the outcome reflected on disciplinary actions towards an individual I had to report. I’m a military brat as well and understand that giving an order must be comply no matter the outcome. Seeing this translated in the BB makes me feel for the Clones.
I love your analysis. I felt so bad for Wilco. The Bad Batch is so deep and well-written, that as I’ve gone back and re-watched episodes of the first 2 seasons, I picked out a bunch of things that I missed the first time around with season 3 hindsight. Love the characters so much.
Thank you! Yes! There is so much I missed the first couple times. Well...not missed. Just overlooked because I didn't have the full context. It's such a great show!
Howzer my beloved
I don’t comment very often after your videos but I Do Enjoy Them All and must say Thank You for this video. You my good sir have an ability lacking everywhere….The ability to think for yourself and that’s a quality that may come back into “Fashion “ one day soon I hope. Thank you again.
Thank you so much! I try not to listen to other channels and their thoughts when it comes to Star Wars. It keeps me with my own perspective. I hope individuality can become a trend. Rather than hearing everyone else repeating each other. Nothing against them.
As Cody asks, Do you know what makes us different from battle droids? We make our own choices. And we have to live with them.
Amazing video
According to the UCMJ…. You have the Right to disobey an Unlawful Order that volatile’s the Code!
Why has Disney "dumbed down" lightsabers?
What I mean is, that before Disney took over the franchise, there was a lot of dismemberment of organic people. Now, unless you're a droid, you never see anyone get dismembered or beheaded anymore with a lightsaber.
Look at the finale of Ahsoka for example. Two dozen zombie stormtroopers and three people with lightsabers and the worst wound that occurs is a slash on the chest that glows briefly and nothing happens
It's been that way since Disney bought the franchise.
I know you will say because Disney is "family friendly" but we're talking about the same company that made the Pirates of the Caribbean series here, that killed off hundreds of people in VERY gruesome ways and other franchises that are JUST as violent
I’m not arguing against your point. It’s actually one of my criticisms.
@@StarWarsFanatic But, would you make a video about it?
@@dragonweyr44 I can
@@StarWarsFanatic Even impalment by a lightsaber isn't fatal anymore
