You should also point out the number one advantage with a single bladed folder like the sod buster Jr....the fact that it is single bladed is not a limitation but a super advantage in the way that it typically has a much more robust,thick blade that makes for a great hard use type of knife,my favorite type of pocket folder

I love my trapper by far my favorite. Sodbuster Jr is also one of my favorites. I never have liked the stockman always felt like they were trying to fit to much in one thing
@@danemoore2302 I personally don't like the trapper pattern myself, I just don't want a knife with 2 full sized blades. I've gotta have a smaller secondary blade, so for that reason I also don't like the traditional 2 blade folding hunter the muskrat or the moose pattern. I'm fine with a good stockman, but only own one because it's hard to find a stockman with a sheeps foot that doesn't sit too high and doesn't have krinked blades. When the sheeps foot sits too high the knife is uncomfortable in hand with that blade closed so the sheeps foot ends up being the only blade I use.
if case’s quality control wasn’t in the gutter i’d own more of them. but $50+ for a knife with worse fit and finish and QC than a 10$ rough ryder from china is unacceptable.
Grandpa always kept a Case pocket knife in his front pocket. Now that I think back.. that old man wasn’t my grandfather and that might not have been a pocket knife.
That’s a Medium Stockman. It’s not the same as the original Stockman. It’s a lot bigger. The original Stockman is only 2.5 inches in length. It’s a small pen knife.

I have a Case set from the 70s which comes in a leather pouch. 2 knives and one has a damascus blade. Absolutely lovely.
