Two of my favorite jazz bone masters on the planet. Andy is pretty well ,known, but John deserves MUCH wider recognition....kinda the Fontana and beyond, of this millennium.
jacopastorius777 - Yes, there is no doubt that the solo order is Andy/John...two absolute beasts of the posaune. I only wish I'd been able to hear more of John when I worked with him at Disney World, so many eons ago. Some say his tuba playing is even better than his trombone playing......try to fathom THAT.
Andy went two choruses too long; brilliant before. While it setup John to double-time off the bat, would have loved to hear some development. Both are masters in their own right; just being picky.

I can't believe this was almost 11 years ago! Time is flying!
I would like to hear John and Mark Nightingale play together. They have a very similar approach to my ear.
wow incredible!
OMG, two of my favorites playing their asses off.
John Allred burns on Intermission Riff. I'm thinking he might be for me the most exciting jazz trombonist since Rosolino!
ughhhhh, I love that andy martin sound!!!! what a bad dude!!!!

Wait , now I think it's the other way around ? Damn they're both so good .
I take it Andy has the first solo and John the second? Does anyone know for sure ?

Kick Ass trombone solo's
I would totally understand if someone following Allred just bowed out. lol
Both are bad ass but Allred cut.
John Clayton on Bass?? I can hear that's Jeff Hamilton...Nobody has his brush style!!!
