Believe whatever you like, only Jesus can heal you. The anxiety was so bad I could barely leave my house and now I've preached the gospel in four different states. God is faithful!

I'd disagree with that. I've had severe OCD all of my life. I tried everything. And Christ healed me. And I don't have OCD now. And I've suffered from it even as a small child. I had really bad OCD. I could not go one day without it ruining everything in my life. I went to therapist trying to learn how to live with OCD. It didn't do much. It was just a constant search for help and nothing helped. Christ healed me.

knowledge is power my friends, OCD attacks what we don't "know" and that's what triggers the thoughts, I tried to seek God when I didn't have OCD and the bible just seemed too confusing, but when I needed God he gave me the knowledge I needed to understand it way better than before and it's helping me recover greatly.

and what you experienced is real, when I would watch the preacher talking the message would literally be about my situation, and I've watched many times before and the subject wouldn't even remotely be about me. I'm sure many have experienced this too

    Thank you so much, dude.
For the past couple years, I've just been getting farther from God...I'm trying to really get back in the Word and know Him more now, but it can be difficult. I have struggled with OCD for 19 years (since I was 3), ADHD for at least 15 years, and Trichotillomania (compulsive hair-pulling) for the last 8 years.
Jesus dying for all sickness in addition to sin is a new concept for my family, but my brother strongly believes in it now. This was encouraging. Thank you.

OCD is the curiosity of knowing everything like Adam and Eve and control everything but this is God's job. I am a Greek Orthodox Christian and we believe that huge ego and lack of faith is the reason for most of mental illnesses like: OCD , panic attacks, depression etc and this us why one billion people suffer from mental illnesses. We don't trust Gid enough. Sometimes we thing we trust Him but deep down we have our doubts.

I have really bad anxiety disorder. I can hardly go to the store for 10 mins without feeling like my legs are like noodles. So there are times when I refuse to leave my home. I try to then tell myself to obey God more (the law) and then expect healing. I have had sex with my non Christian bf. I feel terrible. I’m a Christian but yet I’m doing all this. So now it’s just this cycle! When I had my first terrible panic attack my dad received a call from my Christian uncle from out of state. When they finished the phone call my uncle asked if he could pray for us. He then said “ Heavenly Father heal my niece” my uncle didn’t know about the panic attacks. He also doesn’t remember saying those words. Sometimes I feel this peace that comes and rest ! And no anxiety! But it only has come when I really needed it like if I have to go out with family to an event or else I would rather stay home because I get so anxious! Tonight I fell back into sin... I’m tired and weak and the more I think about it the more anxious I become and the more fear I feel. So I then stumbled upon this video! Praise God! God bless you brother.

I love you man and that is why I speak the Truth. Religion makes people anxiety driven, only true rest can be found having a relationship with Messiah Jesus. Relief maybe found through medication and therapy but real wholeness and healing can only be found in Jesus. I am studying world religion at Temple University and I can honestly say that only Grace can be found in Jesus.

Anyways i feel palputations everywhere in my body and my heart beating hard like its struggling to beat. I have been praying and having faith that i would get better that moment or the next day but i feel like nothing changes no matter how much faith i have i just keep on feeling anxiety been triggered easily when its not my choice. What am i doing wrong and when am i going to be normal again? I know He can heal me but i dont know why it doesnt work because i know %100 His healed many

Explain to me this please...why would it be that I happened to become inflicted with this disorder 5 years ago at a time when I was a devout Christian? Weekly service, daily prayer, committed counselor for a Christian youth organization. How could it be? During a time when I was humbling myself before God, that I was in the most pain that I've been in. How could there be a common theme of OCD called scrupulosity OCD in which the direct suffering is from devout believers who pray incessantly?

So many christians are getting these bad thoughts.i was tormented with them most of my life.its because i didn't know who God really was .i thought he was far away and that he would come and vanish and i would have to yell so he wouod hear me i felt like he was disgusted in me and rejected me.for so long i thought this.i can only tell you what i did .i read psalms alot read isiah prayed to God like it was nobodys buisness and watched sermons .Gods word says he sees you he knows your calling and hes protecting you .there is nothing that happens that God doesn't know about there is nothing that happens outside Gods will or that he doesn't allow .he knows your thought's he knows how much you hate them.he knows every hair on your head God will not forsake those who call on him.youv got to get in his word. Those thoughts are nothing but lies to make you feel bad like God doesn't care but its 100%lie. Your having those thoughts because you believe in Jesus Christ thats why you hate them. Pray and read isiah and psalms and watch sermons until those lies go away God is in control nothing else

I never said I was an unbeliever, nor did I say you were lying about feeling relief from your OCD. What I did allude to was that many Jews, Muslims, agnostics and atheists have also felt relief from their OCD. I'm interested in helping people, not judging them or claiming that they're doomed from birth to a life of torture for something that happened a few thousand years ago. I know where this is going and I am not interested in continuing this conversation

i like your testimony but what i disagree with is that you said when we sin we are rightgeous, when we sin only after we have ask for forgivness then justification comes back since justification and pardon means the same thing, for example david when he sin he had to pray you can read that in psalms 51 he said create in me a clean heart and nenew a right spirit within me,the holy spirit left him.

I agree that we are NOT saved by the law, but by the GRACE of Jesus. We are freed from the CONDEMNATION of the law, but NOT from OBEDIENCE to the law. The same passage that says that we are saved BY grace ALSO says that we are saved FOR good works. So, it is GRACE that brings FORGIVENESS, and it is GRACE that enables us to OBEY. Ephesians 2:8-10 (please don't stop at verse 9, read verse 10 as well)." Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law." Rom. 3:31. "So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good." Rom. 7:12. Jesus Loves you all.

  • @nagol5178
    @nagol5178 10 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes I did. And I am being real. Reality is, I was healed and so have many others been healed. As the Bible says, "The cross is foolishness to the world but not to those who know." I was once an unbeliever too. So I know how you think. And it doesn't matter what the world says. I know what happened. And so do many others. It has nothing to do with being raised in a faith. Every human is doomed from the start because of the fallen world. Only Christ can heal. And he does. Quit calling us liars.

  • @ocdmindful618

Congrats Eric. I'm very happy for you but you do see my concern here don't you? 2/3 of believers do not believe in the same god that you do yet I have come across amazing claims about Yahweh and Allah healing other peoples OCD just like this. How can we know which one is doing the healing? Some atheists experienced relief when they let go of their religion. It's a physiological disorder. Any person of faith who treats OCD will tell you that the treatment is exposure response prevention.

If you were that devout then it's even more likely for you to be struck with it. If you know the Bible, then you know why it happened when you were devout. The same reason Job had his children killed, and went through extreme sickness for years. His own wife told him, go ahead and curse God because he's not helping you. Because he didn't curse God, he got paid back double. I had OCD before I was a Christian so mine was a different situation.

  • @freedbyyeshua533

Evil thoughts are a product of sinful flesh, which we all possess as a result of the sin of Adam. This is how the devil tempts us. If you’re a born-again Christian, and you’re dealing with anxiety because of evil thoughts, then you must understand that being in Christ means you’re eternally secure. All your sins have been forgiven because God already condemned your sin through Jesus Christ on the cross, which means God won’t impute sin to you (Romans 4:6-4:8). If you’ve put your full trust in Jesus alone for salvation, then you’re legally justified before God and imputed His righteousness. We’re justified by faith, and imputed righteousness by faith, not by works. That means God isn’t judging you based on your thought life or your sins. He’s judging you based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Romans 8:1 says there’s now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. God loves you, and will never be angry with you no matter how much you sin because His anger towards your sins was exhausted through Jesus on the cross. Many people hate this kind of preaching because they feel like it encourages people to sin, but actually it does the opposite. Romans 2 says the goodness of God leads us to repentance. The law (Ten Commandments) wasn’t given to make us righteous, but to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). Righteousness comes by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Now that we’re in Christ, we’re delivered from the law and we obey the Holy Spirit who tells us how to live righteously. Believing on Jesus, and loving one another as Christ has loved us are the new commandments we are given (1 John 3:23). This behooves us to focus on how much He loves us!

Will I be cured from OCD if I believe in Yahweh or Allah? How can we know which God is healing us? i certainly don't want to take anything away from anyone and I'm happy for you that you claim to be feeling better but OCD sufferers be very careful. This is NOT the treatment for anyone who wants to seriously learn how to live happy life with OCD. In fact scrupulosity OCD could result from putting faith in any outside source. Believe me, healing begins with yourself, no one else.

Allah won't heal you. He is a distant and cruel god. Believe in Jesus, and he will give you a miracle. Repent from your sins.. Because the time he is reborn, it's gonna be too late for you. If you believe in the wrong God you will go to the wrong place: hell.

All I know is that there is a real God and the bible says For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus heals and answers back, if you don't believe me ask him ^-^ -Jesus said you shall find him when you seek him with all your heart

Father today I acknowledge that every battle in my life is not mine, but belongs to You. For I know that my real struggle is not against what I can see with my eyes, but with what is unseen - the powers of this dark world, the devil - who waits for an opportune moment to steal, kill and destroy Your work in my life, to ensnare me. [1] [2] [3]
Father forgive me, for I have not been self-controlled and alert. I’ve allowed myself to be lulled into complacency by the noise and distractions of the world. I have not resisted the enemy, most of the time at best, I pretend he does not exist. But Your Word admonishes me to stand firm in my faith, that if I do not, I will not stand at all. Lord, teach me to stand. [4] [5]
Today, as You have instructed me, I choose to put on Your full armor so that I might stand against the devil’s schemes and stand my ground when the day of evil comes upon me - that I might be strong in You and Your mighty power! I choose to ‘put on’ Jesus! [6]
I stand firm then with the belt of truth buckled securely around my waist. Jesus, You are the way and the truth and the life…I turn from all false teaching and philosophies of this world and I put on Jesus, the Truth. [7] [8] [9]
I put on the breastplate of righteousness - Jesus, there was no sin found in You, yet You took my sin on Yourself so that I might become the righteousness of God! This day, I turn from all sin that entangles me and holds me back, and I put on Jesus, my righteousness. [7] [10] [11]
I choose today to fit my feet with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Lord Jesus, You are my peace, for you have destroyed the barrier that was between me and God the Father! Make me ready to give the reason for the hope that I have, for I long to share with others that You Lord Jesus are my peace! [12] [13] [14]
I take up this day, the shield of faith so that I might be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows, the attacks of the evil one. The life I live in this mortal body, I live by faith in You, the Son of God, who loved me and who gave Yourself for me. May my faith in You increase as I hear Your Word and put it into practice - for You Lord Jesus are the author and perfecter of my faith. [15] [16] [17] [18] [19]
I put on the helmet of salvation and declare that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven by which I can be saved from my sin! You Lord Jesus are the Christ the Son of the Living God! Jesus, You are my salvation! [20] [21] [22]
I take up this day, the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and I proclaim Lord Jesus that You are the Word made flesh, and You will accomplish all that You intend! Hallelujah! [20] [23] [24]
Father, I choose today to clothe myself with Christ, to be alert and ready to pray - to pray in the Spirit no matter the occasion or situation that I am in, with all kinds of prayers and requests. May I become one who is increasingly faithful in prayer. [25] [26]
In all of these things, I put on Christ Jesus - and I take my stand! May Your power that is at work in me this day, be mighty.
I ask all these things in the Name of Jesus, who gave Himself for me that I might truly live. Amen and Amen.

Did you try the actually proven treatment of exposure response prevention? Or did you go to a general therapist? Is every believer of a different faith than yours (roughly 5 billion) doomed to a life of suffering bc they were raised in a different faith? Lets get real here and stop interfering with the evidence based treatment of ERP. I'm not doubting that you feel better but to assume and try to persuade others that God was the force behind it is very damaging to many hurting people.

No one is judging anyone. All humans are suffering. If you want to go around and pretend we aren't then you can live in that world. But those in Christ get healed when they ask. Plenty of Jews become messianic jews when they figured this out, plenty of Muslims convert to Christ every day. Relief from OCD and completely having it healed are two different things. Unless you humble yourself before God, he will not heal you. Self righteousness will just lead you in a circle for life.

You do have to repent. This is not good.

I agree that we do have to repent. At that time in my life I just believed that every time I would sin I was going to hell. I don’t believe God is so ready to cast people away from Him when they fail.
