One Technical Glitch: I mispoke and didn't realise I called Alucard a Belmont. He most certainly is not.💙
@@Ragepatty it's Alucard!!! Lol his name is Dracula backwards!
THIS! feels like one of those "I was this Many years old when I found out x" . How did I not notice or learn that before?! Lol nice
@@Ragepatty this comes from the classic universal film "Son of Dracula" in which he uses Alucard as a moniker while in disguise in travel. Both series have a basis in film, which I love on both counts.
@BibbyYK no kidding! The Alien movies influence is definitely apparent in Metroid.
Thank you for showing the Metroid 1 Brinstar impossible door trick ten times, I honestly did need it. Great video, I look forward to hearing more of your insights.
Well done Patty! Look forward to see what you have in store in the future!
Thanks so much!
Your first video! Great work, please continue!
@johanandersson8646 many more to come. Super glad you enjoyed it. I'll only get better! Thanks so much
Very well done for your debut on the platform, just a few mistakes that jumped out to me as a fan of both series. Alucard is not a Belmont but the half vampire son of Dracula and you mention lament of darkness on the ps2, that name clearly is an amalgamation of lament of innocence and curse of darkness.
@maximeboucher635 haha you're right I did say lament of darkness! How did I miss that!
Appreciate you pointing it out and watching!💙
Love this video already but fatal flaw early on...Alucard is not a Belmont. He is Dracula's half vampire son. Also known as a Dhampir, or daywalker, like Blade.
Lol I don't know how I didnt catch that when editing, but I appreciate you pointing it out. Thankyou for watching and your kind words. Cheers
@@Ragepatty you should absolutely continue creating content. And I for sure will be arguing over your opinions given here as soon as I have the time to, lol ✌️
I feel like I'm your counterpart, I love the castlevania franchise more despite how much I love the metroid franchise. I feel like castlevania SOTN is the pinnacle of smooth game play accompanied by cinematic experience. All of the other 2d or 2.5d titles I've experienced have entailed an allure inherent, But, an incredibly clunky experience as far as game play goes. Considering hit boxes and speed specifically.
However, the use of silence I 100% agree. Metroid reigns Supreme here.
@BibbyYK i flip flop back and forth often about my exact thoughts on the subject. You're right, though, and i think most people will agree that a lot is owed to SOTN. It's basically flawless.
@@Ragepatty the clunkiness is shared in both franchises, the death traps in metroid make it a serious undertaking, that I feel does make it a superior puzzle.
@@BibbyYK It's true, and it made Metroid scarier. Curse of Darkness had some high-tier action challenges, and I'd say had at least 9/10 gameplay -- it's one of my favorite 3D games -- but the criticisms still hold true enough to me, and it's a justifiable odd game out for the series, as far as I know.. It was more resistant to the power discrepancies that tend to show up if you do any grinding or optional areas in SOTN, and probably more challenging than Metroid Prime 3, which is the only 3D Metroid I've played so far. The puzzles in CoD were not quite on par with SOTN, but MP3 made 3D puzzles look pretty good. (Bryyo!)
