Good summary - I really wanted to enjoy this one, but yeah, after playing the demo I was left more frustrated than anything else. Hooded Horse have been on a roll recently, so hoping they fix a lot of these issues in the game.
Oh I agree for sure. The team behind Moonlighter backed by Hooded Horse? That seems like an easy win, but I'm glad someone else agrees that the demo was just lacking.
Man I chuckled hard at that "totally fictional world" joke.
But boy I was hyped for this game as it looked like an RTS, differently styled version of Last Spell but with those two issues I won't have a fun time until they are fixed.

I'm hoping that they fix those things because it does have the potential to be a neat game, but I agree that I will have to hold off on this for a minute.
Man, I'm so bad at RTS games, but I love the art style for this. Looks pretty neat! Might have to check it out.
The art is definitely really cool. I was just a bit disappointed in the execution of the game.
This one is a little disheartening to hear. I've had it on my list for a long time, but if that rain mechanic doesn't get ironed out that's an easy pass for me. Oh well, leave it on the wish list for a while, let them work on it. As always sir, thank you for all the amazing work.
To my knowledge the rain mechanic is relatively new, and it wouldn't be so bad if they cycled rain off and on between the nights, but that miss chance was appalling.
I'm betting if they keep the rain mechanic, they'll add a support unit that negates the rain debuff for nearby allies, or a researchable technology, or make it way less impactful. I'm still hopeful because I'm desperate for a new good RTS
@@chris_sometimes_makes_art I do hope they do something to change it up. I like the weather aspect in theory but the execution could be better. Those ideas would definitely make it more tolerable for sure.
