What do you think? Will you give these a try? I'll warn you though - it's a rabbit hole and you won't be able to make just one! (which is good b/c you can't buy just one clasp!) Here's my Amazon Affiliate link for the hardware and pliers 👉🏻 amzn.to/3Cfbdsn
Thank you - it's from my Honey Bees & Flowers Please collection from Riley Blake Designs. You can see more about it and find that quilt pattern for free on my website - tarareed.com/fabric/honey-bees-flowers-please-fabric/
@@JulesMadeThis24 You're very welcome and washi tape for fussy cutting is my new favorite trick! My son lives in London - was just there in September for his wedding. 🥰
Thanks for a great tutorial. It couldn't have come at a better time! I attended my first quilt retreat this weekend and key fobs were one of our fun workchops. LIke it so much I already bought the hardware to make Christmas gifts. I am thinking of using the sewing machine to embroider names on them and also making some that can be worn aroung the neck.
You're very welcome! I have 2 tutorials for lanyards - basic: th-cam.com/video/sWoocbKNbxU/w-d-xo.html and with safety clasp: th-cam.com/video/id48e0Le-s8/w-d-xo.html Happy sewing!
Awesome detailed and helpful tutorial!! I have made a boatload of key-fobs, however I am always looking for helpful insight, tips and tricks to make it cooler and easier to make so thank you very very much! I also make cork ones-the only tricky part is the fold to hold, I put weight on them for a bit. I often take a WOF strip and sew it all together and then cut them into various sizes-my wee ones are the leftover bits and bobs so that they are not wasted. I started by using an inexpensive a short handled wee 5oz hammer & covering the fob bit with muslin, before I discovered the special pliers-you are right they make it so much easier to do the final touches.
@ I saw a couple beautiful rolls of it a couple years ago and thought, why not? Turns out that it’s easy to work with and sew. Anyways I am sure that one day the right cork will catch your eye & the adventure will be afoot! lol

I haven’t worked with cork yet for projects… one day!
