- This video covers the most exciting aspects of the game the harvest. You have done all the other steps leading up to this day and now its time to reap the rewards of a good harvest. We cover the basics of the harvest process as well as how to store and retrieve grain from the bin and selling grain.
This video series will be broken down into 100 level videos, 200 level videos and 300 level videos similar to college course catalog listings.
100 level videos will be for the Farming Simulator beginning player.
200 level videos will be for those new to Farming Simulator but not totally new.
300 level videos will be for Farm sim players that might be looking to move outside their comfort zone.

Finally some one answered my question. I was looking all over the place to fill up my loader. It was right in front of my face the whole time

Well, I've been playing FS since 2009, but it is still entertaining watching these basic videos. It takes me back to those days with FS09 and the trial and error involved in trying to get things done.
Indeed. I dont go back that far but looking at it know there is alot of just assumed knowledge.
One thing I'm very confused about is how to get wheat and stuff out of a silo
Same!!! Yes have crops but don’t know how to sell them
you drive under the outpipe and hit R or what ever the controls say to fill the trailer then you pick the crop you want.

I was so confused as to why so much of it was going onto the ground... thought I was doing it wrong and wasting a bunch haha. I think it goes away eventually or you cultivate it and it’s gone? not sure
If your talking about the straw it does not go away on its own if you cultivate yes you work it into the soil and thus it then goes away.
This is a really good video for beginners it really helped me and I have recommended it to all my friends that play farming simulator

You could also mention that the headers have a purely ascetic function in that you can adjust the reels up and down and forward and back, with the J/N and K/M keys, on most cereal crop headers. It doesn't affect the game in any way, just an added bit of realism for us OCD players. ;)

I have a question. Can I and how can I do it from the ranch, if I take the vehicle to buy something, can I return it faster to where it was the first time, and since I'm playing on PS4, which button do I need to click and do I need to go to the main menu .
I started playing 4 days ago. My experience so far has been awful. I bought every tank I could find for gas, but found out I have to fill them up. I still don’t know how, but I have now learned how to know the best place to sell my crops, and the best tools for the right tractor. Thanks to you, and I thank you for sharing, beings there is not good instructions in the game that I could find. I still need gas though.
Fuel is hauled using the fuel bowser under tools and then misc. Its filled from the fuel station. Given normal fuel usage I am supposed your in need of fuel after just 4 days. The default usage is so low they run for a long time.

no, wheat chaff is straw and its good for bedding for pigs or cows or selling.

you forgot to mention headland passes unless you are saving that for the 200 level. :) btw even though i have several hours of play in i am enjoying your format. when i first started i spent a lot of time learning to drive and maneuver equipment around backing ect. and learning the way around the map.

I can't see the upper left top letter icon menu I use to now I can't anyone know why or how to fix that problem?
On pc its F1. On consoles no idea

when the wheat. is on the floor like not sprayed around but a line what do you do with it? sorry im new to this and i like the game but idk much about farming which im willing to learn lol
We cover this in another video but you can collect it loose or bale it

What do you mean piles? YOu mean the straw left behind? you can collect that like grass except its straw.

Kind of yes. In real life its spread out on the field and then incorporated into the soil for next year. In game spreading it has no benefit.
Can someone please tell me the shop you pick up grain from as it's not the thing marked shop on the map. I've purchased it and it's now saying collect at the store. This game is so confusing with hardly any help whatsoever.
IM sorry I do not understand. there is no place you buy grain from. you can purchase animal feed from the vehicle shop. The only place you get grain from is your silo and thats only after putting grain in.
@@FarmerKlein I apologise I meant wheat oats barley to grow the grains. I found where to pick them up anyhow but thanks.

All back to basic videos should have been done on the base game map Felsbrunn. There is an option in the main menu to change the UI scaling I think I put mine at 70% maybe. Since its a % it should not matter the resolution but I play at 1440p and the recording for this series I think was then downscaled to 1080.

Great video, my only question is about the header movements on the harvester. Does it make a difference as to how you have the header set, what is the best setting for maximum harvest output?
The header needs to be lowered. Beyond that no there is no optimal setting.

I started playing a year ago and I dropped all my wheat on accident how do I pick it back up
With belts ot a loaderband bucket.
What should I do if I accidentally poured my crop on the floor and can’t pick it up
you will need bucket or belt to pick it up off the ground.

not with out using a particular mod on PC. But mods are a total different story.

Im sorry I do not know as I do not use a controller or play on xbox. the help menu should tell you the buttons to push.
And the weat on the floor? Do we can pick It up or not its just décoration?
Im sorry but I do not follow your question. I do not know why there would be wheat on the ground or floor of a building in this video unless I was demonstrating that you could store it on the floor of a building like some do in Europe. Its been a few years since this video was put together. If that was demonstrated then you could collect it with a belt or a bucket. I have a video on the use of belts I am sure.

@thomasharvey1863 oh you mean behind it. If so that's straw and you can collect it with a trailer called a forage wagon or by bailing it. It's used for bedding for animals or you ca. Sell it for more profits. It would be available on wheat, barley and oats.

harvest is the same regardless of what level you harvest them at. Think of it as how close they are to going to a withered state if you have that enabled.
That was the best tutorial video yet. Just question, can the tractor drive back to the farm automatically after you sell your grain?
Not with out mods. This series for the most part ignores the concept of mods to give an understanding of base game play. There are mods like Autodrive and Courseplay which would let you enhance the base game helper to do things like drive around the map in a semi automated fashion but they are for PC players only.

No, you only nee to plow after corn, sugar beets, potato's or sugar cane.

@@stkjuice Thats all you need to do if you have one that allows direct seeding/planting or use a cultivator between harvest and seed/plant.
FK, also, the larger the header, the more horsepower needed to operate the implement.
I once saw a picture in a help topic on a forum where the poster was asking why his combine wouldn't work. He had the biggest header in the game on the smallest combine. I had to look at the picture twice to see that the header was raised but it it was on the ground because the back tires on the the combine were off the ground. That header probably weighed almost as much as the combine.
Do you plow after harvesting cotton?
If its needed. Not sure if cotton isnone that needs plowing after harvest like root crops and corn.
It doesn’t tell us how to pick up the swaths on the ground

How do you empty your grain silo?
pull a trailer up under the unload pipe and hit R on PC then select the crop you want and fill the trailer. repeat till you have emptied out the silo of goods you wish to sell/use.
Does anyone know how to fill ur trailer with the wheat from the silo I’m struggling to on PS4 tho
Pull under the pipe and it will prompt you.

The silo will have a pipe coming out of it on one end. drive under it with a trailer that accepts crops you wish to get and you will be prompted what to hit to fill on PC its R

How do I take the wheat off the ground?
If you unloaded wheat on the ground you have to use a bucket or belt to pick it up. if your talking abotu what comes out of the back of the harvester that is straw and you use a forage wagon or baler on it. those are covered in other back to basic videos.

As said you cultivate or plow them under and try again next year.
do the crops automatically plant again or how do you do it
The only crops that will regrow are Grass, Sugarcane (3 times) and Poplar. Everything else you need to plant again after harvest.

When ever I try to turn on the harvester it raises the header
