    42:05 Agreed. I almost always keep the context of marble groups I purchase (especially when there are some high dollar marbles in it). It's all the more interesting to be able to look at what other marbles were in the group that someone decades (or a century or more) ago owned and prized. It's especially interesting when it's a group that contains a bunch of marbles that were sold together (for instance a bunch of CACs that likely came from the same box).
    That's why I always photograph the groups of marbles I find, label them so I know what came from what group, and display them together whenever I can.

    Nows the time to sell, alot of the marble collectors are passing away and we are seeing the market start to flood. My homie that collects always says "you can have a train car full of marbles and maybe 1 (one) might be rare. They are digging them up everyday and coming to market as well." ✌🏼💚 good luck with your sale.

    56:10 that may be a rare M.F. Christensen Imperial Jade opaque.

    8:47 Definitely not Christensen Agate Company, nothing about the glass is right (also, CAC layered sands are vanishingly rare, usually worth close to a thousand or multiple thousands of dollars).

    You might try using a black background. I know from experience that it shows off color and detail allot clearer.

      The art of photographing mibs... 3 light sources on tge mib set a clear glass pedestal and black felt in shadow background. With macro is really hard for video. Thanks!

    Serious collectors that have viewed this are cringing at the way you are roughly mishandling these marbles. If any did have a mint surface they don't anymore. Condition is the number one determination where value is concerned FYI.

    • @sixfigureskibum
      @sixfigureskibum  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nothing here was true mint when I got it. Except the DAS litterally from one of the investors. Almost everything I have came from real player collections estate sales or dug. Thete are so many levels of serious collecting. Many people are completely snobs about thier superiority of knowledge ability to grade and everything is junk except for the one type they collect.
      Some of the best specimens I have came from the bottom of a serious collectors junk lot for a penny a mib. A place holder for some is the best another cares to spend fir thier best ..another person's wounded warriors are someone's first treasured hoard

      Completely agree. Marbles are like all glass -- condition is everything. So many of the marbles are heavily damaged, therefore the value is greatly reduced. Many of the marbles were mis-identified. Please -- anyone watching this -- don't handle or store your marbles like this! Like all glass they are very delicate and easily damaged.

      Your one of those people who think objects of same moes hardness will break eachother without a great force applied. Regardless the entire collection was STOLEN.
      But facts is facts. Hits and marks come from hard play on the ground not rolling around a bag or display.
      Breaks come from improper packaging and rough transport
      Go buy some new glass and try to damage it get back to me
