    Nice marbles...definitely all Marble Kings and nice selection of some of odder stuff that Marble King dumped. That yellow and green one is called a lemon lime...only came from dug marbles sites. Marble King was a stickler for quality control and if the design didnt make their patch and ribbon style they went off to the dump. So a lot has been dug for last 30 years as I was seeing at shows around that time. Loved since 1960s when saw a draw string bag of Marble Kings. The book is near completion...waiting on approval...should be a good one.

      Thanks Don. Can't wait to get some more literature on marbles. After collecting Germans for more than 20 plus years I've now almost completely forgotten about them focusing only on West Virginia machine-made beauties. Absolutely love the West Virginia marble shows the friendly people and the atmosphere.
      After a short walk around marble King factory I can understand why they do not want diggers there. There were dug holes left everywhere and debris fields from disrespectful people. Truly sad people can't leave places better than they find it.

    Stephen Bahr's channel is a gift from God! I have learned so much from his videos. I've only been collecting for about ten years. Has anyone else noticed that the prices of marbles on Ebay have really gone Up. Especially the CAC, MFC, and nice Akros.

      I canceled my eBay account after being a 20-year customer with over ten thousand one hundred percent positive transactions. I used to buy precious metals on eBay. Every time the price would drop they would block my account from buying. As soon as the prices went back up magically my account would start working again. I have zero respect for eBay and no longer participate in it. I have also got some really shady high-dollar marble deals from there with no recourse to recoup my money for the fraudulent merchandise. With all of that said there are trustworthy Sellers and phenomenal marbles on there. Just be careful and never cut eBay any slack.

      Just had a confirmation that the marble King's book was approved and will be published soon. You know what happened once the American machine made marbles book come out all the values x3 everybody better be scoring some marble Kings before the prices go through the roof. I think marble King and Vitro are some of the best marbles for beginners to start with.

    What i like about this is that as a new marble collector & far from any dig sites I’m aware of - marble king, vitro and akro (is akro considered low hanging fruit?) are the “finds” in antique stores or eBay lot sales hiding among all the cat eyes and mega marbles that I can get excited for unless someone’s getting rid of a marble collection. So I may not have a wet mint Peltier Superman, superbly, or Spiderman any time soon but I can get excited for the bumble bees, wasps, and scouts out in them jars.

    Are the solid colored ones the same as different would call gaming marbles? These appear so much nicer.

    • @shaneapplegate1975
      @shaneapplegate1975  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely not game marbles because they all have and as made seam or fold line just like all your quality American machine made marbles. More so solid color bases missing their swirls or whatnot if that helps you any

      Most all of your unique marble Kings will be dug marbles I was told marble King had extremely high quality control so when you find blended or unique marble Kings there usually dug. Marble King always dump anything it was not up to their quality standards FYI
