Emmy, that's so amazing. It's almost as if, instead of creating it from the scratch, you were revealing a photorealistic picture that was hidden in the background, gradually making it appear for our eyes too, although you were the first one to see where it was hidden ^^

Hi! I wanted to respond to this comment and hope Emmy sees it and replies :) I have a theory based on my own experience. First of all, no one, in their right mind, would dislike this with regard to your drawing. You are absolutely, incredibly amazing! No one could argue that. When I watch it, which I have a bunch of times now because I'm addicted to watching you draw, I'm in awe each time. Here's what I'm thinking. Many people, like me, are trying to learn to draw. I'm not a beginner but not on your level either. A well done, narrated tutorial in real time can be a very effective method of learning. But it's difficult to learn while watching a time lapse video. You need to be able to see things in real time with someone explaining what they're doing, step by step. Different people need help in different areas and learn at different paces so it's never too informative. That is certainly not on you! You may not have intended this to be an instructive video, but rather, just really cool to watch you do your stuff! That it is!! But I think that might be where some of those people are coming from. I too originally was trying to find a video to learn from but I feel it's very disrespectful to you, Emmy, to click dislike, simply because it's not formatted exactly how I want it. Some folks think the world revolves around them haha!! I still love it for what it is. You are truly amazing and I really love watching you work!! Keep it up!!

Thanks to my Art subject I able to know my skills on sketching hahahaha I never done self portrait or subject portrait but before I love to do some anime drawing but it was years ago and Im surprised Im good at it . But ofcourse I watch some yt sketching advise and keep practicing until I know the right techniques.

She's using a optical device like a camera lucida. TH-cam is infested with these frauds. No construction lines or adjustments but magically a one to one copy of a photograph. Couldn't pass a freshman art class using her "technique".

The notion of forcing yourself into an art galley for inspiration is far worse and fake than someone using a guide ( that fact remains to be unseen with this artist on youtube ) ... Life should be the inspiration, stumbling across a video unexpectedly and feeling that urge again is the inspiration .. I clicked on a recommended video and felt the desire - to create .. You clicked on a video and felt the need to belittle ... The notion that I, or anyone, should take your advice is laughable .. Go draw something, paint something, do something .. Envy is a great motivator, use it to your advantage instead of allowing it to eat your alive

I dont wanna make u feeling worse but Ive been born knowing how to shading without any teach, just by my own, I just tried it like 3 or 4 times and each one i got better and the first try was pretty good anyways, when someone ask how do I do it Im just like idk i just did it xd and I also make like 1 realistic drawing every year lol I feel like I droped my talent to the trashcan of life :'v good luck with ur shading 👍never give up on it girl, some ppl say practice beats natural talent
