This album will forever hold a special place in my heart, and this song especially hits hard in a very painful way. One of my best friends passed away the other night when this album released. He has been an Oli fan since back in the beginning when his girlfriend showed him Oli and he was the one who turned me on to Oliver Tree. Ever since we would always let each other know when new songs dropped and any news for new Oli. I had purchased us 2 tickets to see Oli in Denver on March 2nd, after my buddy was going through a separation with his wife. He had just purchased his plane tickets and we were stoked, but sadly he passed and will never get to see his favorite artist perform. But this album, there's something about it that hits especially close lyrically. Oli will forever remind me of my boy.
I hope you went to the concert and didn’t give his ticket to someone else. He wasn’t there with you physically, but he had the best seat in the house. Prayers to you and everyone that was close to him🙏🏼

Whether you think about it or not, Oliver's writing style, the way he produces & himself have all evolved in the making of Cowboy Tears. He has somehow managed to infuse the emotional impact of country music while still maintaining the edge of modern-day alternative music & for that, you gotta give credit. What came out as a result was an album that had emotions bursting out at every seam. I cannot thank you enough Oliver for this song, for I once was in a dark place like the song described. But I got out of that rut by not only listening to lots of music, but by having friends & family by my side who cared for me & fought with me. Although this song does remind me a bit of my dark moments, it also inspires me to keep pressing on & keep being myself.
