Just a minor correction, the troops fighting Charles Stewert were mainly English or Welsh. The Scots are also British because they are, and always were, resident in the British Isles.
Welsh, Irish, Scots and English are all British. If Scotland leaves the United Kingdom, her people will still live in Britain but not the UK.
I am totally British because I had one Irish, one English, one Welsh and one Scots grandparent 😂. Each of my grandparents had a different first language but all the non-English ones learned English in school.
(PS, The Welsh are British, we are citizens of the United Kingdom, but we don't live in England!! Most Americans put England into our address and it drives our postman crazy! He keeps threatening to return letters to senders who do it on the grounds that Americans would be annoyed if their mail arrived addressed to USA, Mexico. I THINK he's joking, but who knows!)
I love this huge collection of Scots dolls. I have my childhood Toddy walked doll dressed in the kilt and a OR boy too. They are fun to own.

Agh, the Kindle changed what I typed again!.That should have read RODDY and KR dolls.
Roddy was a company in England. The box for my boy says "Dressed in Glasgow," but he is stamped on his back, "Made in England," as we're all my Roddy dolls.
