This has encouraged me to spend time with my doll friends. I have always been a dolly girl. As a child I adored them and took them on holiday in my yellow pram. My happiest memory is laying on the grass in my Nanna's garden, my dollie's were lined up in their pram bed, the smell of beautiful sweet peas wafting around me. This is my happy memory x
I love how you are always finding new ways to approach the hobby of doll collecting-this time with dolls in their original boxes. Always fresh and entertaining! I appreciate Chris Madrid sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm-it is infectious! Thank you!
I enjoyed this video very much. I was especially interested in Raggedy Anne and Andy. I prefer soft dolls. Thank you, Michael Canadas, and all your expert guest speakers, for sharing your knowledge here on TH-cam.
Another winning video. Very much enjoyed and highly recommended. I have a ABG doll in box and am 2nd owner. Box was falling apart but had label on end and personal writing on lid. A dealer suggested I save the label and personal note, put them in a frame with the doll. I also saved the original tissue and this lives in the cabinet behind the doll. she is dressed in her slip and shoes and socks. A good way to save the information as it would not be safe with the whole box. Just a thought.
I collect Effanbee…that box and doll made my day! I particularly love the yarn hair dolls from WWII..this might be a dumb question but those boxes aren’t acid free yet they perfectly the dolls…with all the emphasis on using acid fee boxes I’m confused! Is it only an issue with paper based products?
@@MichaelCanadas I did notice darkening at the edges of some of the tissue…really had fun watching the video. And naturally I headed for EBay afterward, lol.
I have 8 Dolls of Gone with the Wind i have small Scarlet and a bigger ones i also the main man 👨 Ret Butler. Small and larger .they in great condition but really need restringing again.... i live in N.Ireland and got the dolls from an American auction... k just love them ...
That walking BeBe would be just the one to invite to your Daughter's sleep over! I think it was you Chris Madrid that told the story about the dolls legs being too short to get up the stairs? Pyjama Party Christmas video?

Mum had sweet peas in her wedding bouquet and Grandad Plum grew a long bank of the. The smell was scrumptious. Beside them grew a purple clematis. X

They have lived in there box for 80 + years and are fine , but we will now wrap them in acid free paper just to safe .
