Excellent video my friend! I was given a Sears Craftsman lathe circa 1977.. The tools I got with it fit nicely in to 1 inch pvc.. But I'm just getting started.. I will refer to this video often.. Thanks!
Hey amigo, I just used your outstanding idea to cleanup my turning tool collection, it came out great so I am VERY grateful for your really creative out of the box thinking, much thanks.
you probably dont care but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks xD
Thanks Ken, I saw the preview of this 30 for 30 in 30 intro and was excited to see the first one. This could be used on a lot of different tools like screwdrivers. I don’t have a lathe but I have a lot of screwdrivers. Looking forward to tomorrow !! Have a great night. Thanks for sharing.
Yes!!!! Becky that is exactly how I intended this series. It's not about what I build it's about what can be built in 30 minutes a day. I built a Lathe tool holder, but you say screw drivers. I love it!!! Ken
PVC pipe is pretty handy...used it to make my cordless drill holders and storage for all my tube of calk and glue...cleanup of the shaving is a challenge....Jim.
Peg Board would be another way to go. Everyone has their way of doing it. Peg board cost a lot and I have a few extra pieces of PVC laying around after redoing my plumbing up stairs so I used it. Good luck and share some pictures on FB when you do it. Ken

I didn’t realize that you could glue the sides together! One problem is that if shavings get in the tubes it’s hard to dig out.
The shavings fall through. Still use this holder today.
If the handles fit loose the shavings do collect around them. Plus mine should have been higher to allow the stuff to fall through.
Nice job Ken, it sure cleaned up that wall from the cluttered look!
The best part is that you can add to this and still not take up more room on the wall.
Ken
Great idea Ken.
You know I never realised I didn't reply to your comment on this video. Thanks Dave.
Ken
Wow great job and fast, You are so smart.
Wow. Again I say I wish all my subscribers felt this way mom. lol

The shavings were the biggest detractor of the original shelf. I was always cleaning them up.
Ken
that is actually pretty cool idea. Gonna have to remember this when i can talk mom into getting me a Lathe..
Need me to talk to her? Mine may be for sale in a few months. lol
Ken
Shane's Hobby Shop I’m surprised you don’t have one yet! That is the most fun tool to work with!!!!
Nice one, Ken!
Thanks Mark. This series is to show newbies how easy it is to make stuff.
Ken
I have to make one but I’m thinking about making one out a simple board shelf like with holes in it.
Peg Board would be another way to go. Everyone has their way of doing it. Peg board cost a lot and I have a few extra pieces of PVC laying around after redoing my plumbing up stairs so I used it. Good luck and share some pictures on FB when you do it.

Nice work! Just need one more turning tool :)
Already done. Got two for Christmas. Great thing about this is that I can add slots easy.
Ken
looks great -
You could make one and use wire hangers to hang form your lathe since it isn't near a wall. Just an idea.
Ken
Very interesting holder. I am thinking to use your idea.
Am I correct to think that you are using Schedule 40PVC?
Yes sir, Schedule 40. I've added another row since this video and still working great.
Ken
Nice Job
Thanks for watching.
Ken
Nice!!
That Will works 👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁
Works really well. The first one I used for a while and I have shavings all over it.
Ken
Cool!
Thanks It is easy and functional
Ken
I need to get my butt in gear and organize my shop as well. Too much to do.
As this series says. It only takes 30 mins a day to do things around your show to help you organize.
Ken
Now get to work.
