    Using long grass wrapped around an inner tube for a slashed tyre works as well

    Tyre boots tend not to work if your using tubeless as the boot won’t stick properly to the inside of the tyre wall, it will just fall off inside the tyre. The best way to use a tyre boot on a tubeless tyre, is you will have to put a tube in to keep the tyre boot pushed onto the tyre wall.

      You're absolutely right! Sorry, I don't think i made it clear that a tubeless set-up would need to resort to a tube and a boot to fix the situation. I've actually used a velcro strap to get home on slashed tyre too! - Anna :)

    Ah yes, the cheese grips. I'll forever remember Blake gagging as he scrapes rancid cheese out of his handlebars with a stick.

    If your derailleur cable is broken why not screw in your High screw to get into a lower/middle gear for pedaling out? But I do like the idea of pulling your cable out and using it because you can than adjust your derailleur to whichever gear that works best for the pedal out, however what will keep your housing in place at the shifter?

    You can hide your credit card in your gashed tire, but you still have to pay the bill 😂

    when you've used your spare tube you can stuff a tyre with grass its a rough ride but it will get you home

    A Barendsolution for every one living in a Place with Euro as currency. Pull the lock on Grip out two Millimeter and use a 20 Cent coin as a barend it has exactly the same diameter as a handlebar.

    Anna, could you do a women's specific kit special? From head to toe, helmets, sports bras, shorts, saddle fit, shoes, bibs, the lot. My wife would appreciate it, expect other women would too.

    Some of those would depend on having a multi tool unless you are borrowing one off someone trailside or have one of those fancy stowable ones. Generally if I have thought to take a multi tool, I've usually got spares in my hydration pack too.

    • @gmbntech
      @gmbntech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A lot of people carry a multi tool with them so hopefully if you haven’t remembered to bring one someone will help you out! Most riders are happy to help others out 👍

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just like you won't buy a commuter/city bike without a lock, you don't buy a mountainbike without a helmet and multitool. These things just belong together.

    well never but each time I land on my back it hurts :D need to get one up or so and ditch all the tools and pump.
