    Love this recipe. I omit the flour and instead make it with 80 gms egg whites whipped to stiff peaks separately and gently folded in, also using 50 gms cocoa powder. The brownies are so fluffy and chocolatey. Only 48 calories each.

    Well, I just made this for the second time. And I gotta say it: my first badge was awful. I tried making it with almond flour, with half amount of erythritol and without baking soda because I didn't have any. These are amazing, I have been making these for dessert every day for the past two weeks. I will say one thing, 12 grams of protein powder is not enough. These will turn out 10x better if you add a whole scoop (30g) rather than just 12g, they will be so thick and fudgy that you won’t even need to use the parchment paper! I recommend these with Coke Zero cherry by the way, or if you can get it, diet Mountain Dew code red.

    • @RahulKamat
      @RahulKamat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Awesome! What kind of protein do you use? I would think 30g of whey would dry these out too much, but I’ve never tried adding that much.

    7:35 most common food scales are only accurate to 1g, so if a recipe calls for something that is less than that by weight (e.g. 1/6tsp baking powder), then a) scale up the recipe to make more to the point where you can measure that ingredient in grams (e.g. maybe triple this recipe) or b) buy a food or chemistry scale that is accurate to the mg

    The taste is pretty strong because I add more protein powder and my cocoa powder is also very strong so I've been making a strawberry frosting using low cal strawberry yoghurt, strawberry whey protein, salt, pectin, vanilla extract, sucralose. If you can't get the right consistancy add guar gum or a casein whey to the frosting. Once it's really thick I just wait for the cake to cool down and add everything on top including 120gr of strawberries... It's just crazy.
    You can really play with these recipes I love it, you can add a whole egg, you can do a square of dark chocolate, you can make a creamy frosting melting down dark chocolate and some random low cal yoghurt. You need to play with the chocolate, coffee enhance chocolate taste so adding instant coffee could work, you really don't need a lot.

    I used a silicone donut pan using this recipe so technically this means I didn’t really make brownies but “soda brownie donuts”. Hey maybe Tim Horton’s will see my post and promote their own brownie donuts as their new food of the month. My soda brownie donuts did come out a bit thin but still so delicious. Next time I will double the recipe or perhaps use more flour so they resemble a more thicker cakey donut texture without sacraficing the flavor Many thanks for sharing bro.

    I have PCOS (it's a hormonal condition) so I usually try to keep my added sugars low. The problem is that regular brownies aren't good when I reduce the sugar and they turn out cakey! It's been ages since I've had brownies, so I knew I had to try this recipe! I literally just ate some and wow! The only thing is that I used the erythritol/ stevia blend by Splenda and it was insanely sweet. I didn't realize that erythritol is 70% as sweet as sugar and the blend I used is TWICE as sweet haha- oops! Thankfully it just tastes like a SUPER rich brownie. I'll have to adjust my measurements next time. It's still a win in my books. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe :)

      I’ve tried using half the amount and there’s less crust that forms, enough erythritol is needed to provide enough substance. If you use less sweetener, maybe also use less soda so the batter doesn’t get too liquidy

      @RahulKamat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      th-cam.com/video/HTaS7N2rLLU/w-d-xo.html
      Heres mine:
      1 15oz can pumpkin (425g) 160 Cal
      2 scoop vanilla protein powder (64g) 260 Cal
      3/4 cup (182g) egg white 100 cal
      12oz cashew or almond milk unsweetened (40-45 cal)
      1tsp cinnamon
      2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
      2tsp stevia drops (i only have stevia on hand, you can use her truvia or erithryol and do whatever conversion)
      1tsp nustevia vanilla syrup (about 5 cal)
      Place in 9" pie plate and bake at 350 for 50-55 min and let cool.
      I actually have this coming to about 570 Calories for the entire pie.
      I have a total of 570 cal for the entire pie. I usually eat in 1/4 slices with scoops of greek yogurt mixed either with a little vanilla or chocolate nustevia syrup. Or you can mix with a little sugar free pudding of your choice. Will add a little more calories of course...and some more protein!
