I love quirky things and the main reason I wanted to visit Wat Prayun is because it has the last remaining 'khao mor' in Bangkok; a man made 'mountain' with a hollow middle and a temple replica atop - surrounded by a pond full of snapping turtles and a garden full of rare plants. What I found though was much more - a fantastic stupa/chedi, which you can climb up a floor and walk around; Siam's first official library; a Buddhist relics museum; and a serene, tranquil atmosphere. There is no entrance fee; a smile is suffice. This video would have gone at the end of the Kudi Chin video but I met Gary, the Roaming Cook, and put that in instead because I thought this worthy to be seen alone.
