  • Adam LZ has feelings too, and other topics with our favorite youtuber. Adam is now an integral part of the drift community, and one of the influencers with the largest drift audience. That is a ton of responsibility and stress, and he has the ability to set the pace and tempo of drifting in the future to a certain degree. If Adam decided only missile cars or stance cars were cool in the future, there could be a large part of the community that would be influenced by him. I think that is an interesting topic, as there were some key influencers that created sub genre. Adam is one of those people that could do that. His driving Formula D for instance increases their live stream audience by a huge margin, and when he exits the race a large amount of people tune out. His audience loves him that much.

Found Adam as a bmx kid, enjoyed the transition to car stuff as I got into motorsports, stayed for the growth of business. A part I dont know how many people recognize about LZ, is his ability to grow revenue, and staff. @@LoneStarDrift the pacific northwest is a beautiful place, maybe something outdoors- ATV or SXSs trail rentals maybe? Went skydiving up there once, that was pretty sick. There's an oregon trail rally event in may. I bet someone like chelsea would probably have some better ideas of cool shit to do in that area. I don't know that area well, but there's got to be some good ideas for something you guys could do on an off day to take a break halfway through. Maybe even just some kind of goofy skills competition at one of the tracks would help a bit with getting the drivers together, or a little backies competition with all the drift week drivers, similar to what luke and the aussies like to do down under with their extreme wall rides competitions... but that could be abusive on the cars, maybe someone could find a sponsor a rental, some kind of beater, or an offbeat car that might be hard to drive for all the drivers to try and drive and have some kind of friendly competition-- doing backies in a beater. Or some kind of top gear style challenge with a few judges. Maybe some kind of interesting drinking games that are car / drifting related? that's all i got off the top of my head, might be kind of tough to find something in that area that the whole crowd of drivers would be interested in, but I bet someone out there has got some decent ideas. Also interview was entertaining, nice upload

The drivers did plenty of that, but it is spread over a ton of channels. With 27 drivers coving half the nation in their drift cars, there are tons of stories of the Corvettes caravanning at 100 plus mph all night, drivers getting alligators into their cars for a challenge, going to casinos and bars, heading out to the French Quarter in New Orleans. Na, I don't think you are mean, you are just straight forward to people. Physiologically, you can improve by delivering your message depending the way they are. You can figure a person out by talking about 10minutes plus. And you have a huge input in drifting that you don't even know. And I am not even from USA.

“Do you feel guilty for not saving the turtles?” Lol dude, Adam’s still so young. He’s a genuinely good person though and he’ll definitely start saving the world as he gets older. Right now he has money BECAUSE he builds cars and uses them in competition non stop. He’s striking while the iron’s hot. TH-cam is so volatile and if he lets his foot off the gas it could all disappear. Let him keep building his empire and then ask him the same questions in 10 years.

  • @josephregan1007

BMX was such a great training ground for him though, he mentions it in the video when he talks about caring more about the core of the community than the broader public. He got the experience of a) progressing to a substantial skill level while having millions of eyes on him, b) while dealing with sponsors and making it financially feasible, but also c) developing and codifying a brand that will surely outlive youtube. That was all before getting into cars full time. Cars are, at least in my opinion, a totally natural progression from BMX/Skating/Other extreme sports. I grew up skating and snowboarding, and generally liking things that give me a rush - and now that I'm in 21 and have a little bit of money - cars just make sense as a hobby to pursue. My knees are bad, but I can still operate a clutch pedal. We use them everyday, and if we don't, we at least see them everyday. So even beyond the core, there is a much broader general appeal in all things car related. I haven't even mentioned that he knows how to compete! he was a Pro BMX rider, and understands at least at a basic level the effort required to succeed in a competitive environment. Great Interview! It's important that people like you are there to keep people like Adam in check, and to make sure he doesn't get lost in the glitz. Thanks for keeping him humble!

I was just talking about this with someone, how learning a track equips you with a picture of the different turns/elements, and that as you gain more experience and drive more tracks you begin to see corners you know how to attack even at places you've never driven before. Bummed issues on my end prevented me from driving with Adam and the gang at NCDP9 x_x

Even as a viewer Ive noticed the lack of community feeling for drift week this time. It doesn't seem like its as much of a fun time away travelling around in drift cars and hanging out getting up to random stuff rather than purely just a bunch of track days and inconveniently driving between them in drift cars. Not sure if thats also to do with the scale of it this year and number of drivers or if the vibe just isnt transferring across to video content very well. Either way, concept is sick and everyone is killing it!
