This by far the best videos for hobie lynx you thought of everything and is done right thank you for sharing. Your Texas motor how many’s hours can you get charge with high winds or even no winds out on the water? Is the product still holding up?
100%! Love the Lynx. Matched with the TPP Remora, it's pretty darn perfect. I don't fish waters where I'd be able to use a Power Pole. Kinda envious of those who do, especially when working a spot for bass
Nice channel and setup. Really tempting to trade my outback for Lynx. It’s a hassle loading it on roof top and don’t wanna spend $1k for a trailer. Im ok with not having storage or getting alittle wet for convenience and portability. I mainly troll so as long as I have a downrig, fish finder and 2 rod holders I’m good.
Thanks brother. You'll absolutely love the Lynx. I put a small downrigger on mine sometimes. My buddy puts the big Scotty 1060 on his Lynx. Handles it well. And yes, the lighter weight of the Lynx makes it super convenient to load and go! Tight lines bro
Nice mod but keep in mind that out in the water a lot of things are going on and if your kayak is too busy with a lot of gears then it could be a lot of distraction. I've gone back to try to be simplistic, more focus on just the fish vs. keeping track of all the toys on the kayak :)
I'm with you 100%. I try to take a minimalist approach and constantly reconfiguring my kayak setup. The basics for me are: safety, rod holders, storage, comfort, and efficiency.
Well done. I'm adding more things from narrve kayak fishing and from superyak fishing to my lynx. I to am trying to be a mimlist and only take what I know i will use for that day. How did you mount your measuring board and tight lines
Sweet vid. Just bought my Lynx but won’t be getting it for a few months. How’s that car trim held up on the hull? Really trying to find an affordable option. The pereguards are all pretty pricey. How did you get the trim to stick? Is it heavy? Thanks!
Congrats! Hope it comes in sooner for you. The car trim has been surprisingly durable. Going on 2 years with the same trim. Really helps protect the bottom and sides of the Lynx. Strongly recommend!
@@mr.t1581 The trim comes with its own 3M adhesive. I added a bead of marine silicone around the edges just to help keep the water out. Honestly, it's been a couple years and the silicone bead I put on has pretty much peeled off. The original adhesive on the trim is still going strong.
@@BayAreaBFS that’s great to hear. How many feet do you recommend. Someone told me the water would get underneath but good to hear from you thst it’s holding strong still, I think I’ll try it.
Yo, Thank-you for the mod ideas on your Hobbie Lynx I will most definitely be checking out Superyak Fishing . I noticed you didn't like the Hobbie fishing tray ? I didn't like mine either. Check out Louisiana custom kayak LACK Hobie Lynx Seat Mounting Plate with prison pocket. I like this mod addition to my Lynx. Thank you for your video & for sharing your upgrades.
Hey brother. Yeah, the Hobie tray, while nice, fit the Lynx awkwardly. I was looking at the LACK mounting plate. Wasn't sure if I could fold up the seat legs with it on. I need the front leg bar to fold up for transport in my car. So much stuff to carry as a yak angler haha
I'm doing away with that same motor you've installed. Ive used it for about 2 months in salt water and it doesnt last long before it rusts and jams. And when it jams because of the rust built up, theres no way to remove the armature within to even clean it. Tell me how yours go.
I haven't had any issues with rust. However, I always thoroughly rinse with fresh water after using on salt. Only issue I had was seaweed getting caught in the prop. I installed a prop guard after that and been good so far
Ya got too much junk on a hybrid yak/SUP that is designed to be a minimalist type rig. You're trying to make it a bass boat and in the end, all that stuff will not make much of a difference and will clutter up your fishing platform and get in the way. Just sayin.
@@BayAreaBFS Seriously, take a look at the original Lynx when you bought it. Then look at everything you have on it in this video and ask yourself "is all that necessary?" Otherwise, why wouldn't you just buy a Pro Angler 14 or a Whale Shark and load it down that way, or better yet, why not a microskiff, since you feel the need to have all that stuff on-board. In other words, you just took a 45lb yak and added another 45lbs to it, which changed it's original purpose.
Ça me plais beaucoup pour pêcher en estuaire et en lac de barrage👍
Me too. I don't have easy access to rivers where I'm at
Keep those videos coming!
Thanks for making this! Picking up one this weekend so getting all the Navarre mods and that motor later along with Super Yak mod
Awesome! Congrats! You'll love it.
Some very interesting ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! This reminds me... I should do an updated version with some changes
Great build I just got my lynx it’s a blast
Thank you. Yes, it's an amazing platform for kayak fishing. Requires a little more effort (ie storage). But the benefits outweigh these minor issues

nice build! the lynx is such a simple and clean design. a powerpole micro would be nice for shallow bassin.

Hey buddy. Thank you! I use the YakAttack DoubleHeader Paddle Holder for the Ketch board. Works perfect. Tight lines
Help me out with the door molding you used for the bottom. Too many choices and can’t find anything similar.
Sure thing. This is the exact one I used and would repurchase if I ever needed to amzn.to/3RT0B6J

Where did you get the mirage drive mount ?

Thanks for the comment. Curious, what items are excessive? I'm frequently reconfiguring and moving/removing things to keep it more minimalistic.
