Just heard you on the ALF podcast, great episode. You mentioned you had a Sport back in the day, I currently fish a 2018 Sport and love it for tight water bass fishing. How do you rate the Lynx against the Sport?
Hi vin18m, it's a long time since I had my Sport but the Lynx is quicker and turns in a tighter circle too. Both great yaks but I guess if I had to choose, I'd go for a Lynx.
Hi Mal. Hmmmm, the old Outback or the new Outback? The reason I'm using the Lynx for the tournament is to see how it performs. I still have my Outback (and love it too) but the Lynx is superior in a few areas. It's super lightweight, turns on a dime, doesn't get affected by tide as much and tracks much better than the new Outback. But I realise there are cons too with no in-hull storage (where do I put my bloody rain jacket???) and it doesn't handle the rough water as well. It won't be my tournament rig in waters that may blow up and be extremely rough ie St Georges Basin but I think it will definitely be an option for calmer waters. I guess I'll find out next week! : )
Thanks for taking the time to put this video together.
No problems Neils. Any questions, just ask.
Good luck mate hope to see you at Bemm
Thanks Paul. See you at Bemm.
I use one of the collapsible rubber silicone boxes to put transducer cables in drill hole in and out makes things neat
Oooh, good idea Bruce. Thanks for the tip.

Cid do you power your Powerpole micro off the FPV that you use for the Sounder ?
G'day Fordy, no, I use the plug in battery that came with it.
I thought the outback was a far superior boat in every way. Why would you switch to the Lynx for a tournament?
