You know what the best feeling ever is during this battle? When Dialga tries to hit you and your partner, and your hear that *miss* sound effect twice.
i finished scrolling down right as i saw your comment and then started scrolling up . after 2 seconds of realizing your comment i scrolled back down to give it a like
Partner: so what's your strategy for getting us through temporal tower? Me, with my inventory filled with nothing but reviver seeds I've been collecting the whole game specifically for this moment: my what now
I kept dying on purpose to level up a shit ton then added the reviver seeds maxed out and kicked ass only died like 3 times but was still worth grinding
This might be the most unique Boss Fight Theme I've ever heard- the leading Flute Part has so much *hope* and *life* to it, it's really different from the usual focus on making an intense or epic scene, but the whole soundtrack is like that, a lot of the time, and it's beautiful.
+Parker Dixon-Word Because this song is not just any boss music, it's the final reprise of the "Time Gear" song you've been hearing throughout the whole game -- arguably the game's primary musical theme. Like how the final boss theme in Super Mystery Dungeon reprises the "Partner's Theme" -- which is by no coincidence that game's primary musical theme.
Super Mystery Dungeon also had the Tree of Life motif which comes into play as well, but I agree with you guys. This game rarely had any truly epic moments, because every emotional moment the game had was very conflicted. Grovyle sacrificing himself? Epic, but also depressing. Your character vanishing? Sad but also happy because the world is safe. This is what makes the game so good IMO.
This isn't just the best mystery dungeon game, it's not just the best pokemon game. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is one of the greatest video games of all time.
I cried so much when playing this game a when I was a kid. I really felt like I was in this game and even had dreams about it that I was the pokemon ( Totodile for me).
@CookiNary Wish that would have happened during my playthrough of EoD. I had to climb Temporal Tower about 35 times thanks to that damn move. I ended up beating Dialga by teaching myself Focus Punch (I was a Pikachu, and my partner was a Turtwig), eating several Violent Seeds, stunning him with Thunder Wave, and I had 10 Reviver Seeds and 20 Oran Berries stockpiled in my bag that I had to go back to town and do missions for just so I didn't die whenever Dialga did used a move. At the end of the fight, I had 1 Reviver Seed left, no Oran Berries, my partner was at 3 HP, I was at 12 HP, and Focus Punch had 1 remaining PP.
This game. THIS GAME. This game taught me to lift myself up even when I was at my lowest. That flute just has so much power behind it, this song is meant to cheer you on. That even when the going seems tough, when everything is literally falling down around you, to lift yourself up and give it your all. I just love this game. Period.

The localization team really botched Grovyle's line there. "Our fight... This is the final one!" "This is... our final battle!" would have fit equally well and not sounded weird and engrishy. But you know what? My biggest criticism of the game is a single mediocre translation in a single line of dialogue. I think that shows how good of a game Sky is,honestly.
Literally my favorite pokemon game, above the standard games even. The music and story are both so amazing. Whenever I hear this ost, I get nostalgia flashbacks to playing this game on my ds, and being so excited to have beaten Dialga. Then I promptly start crying just like I did then, watching my partner Riolu as I (Vulpix) disappeared. Bravo to the studios who made this game, bravo.
I definitely agree the soundtrack and story both contribute to this game being one of my favorites it made me cry at the end which is something games usually don't do to me.

***** oh cool. There are alot of remixes of this theme but I'll see if your remix will be good. But I actually meant a remix by actual composers that composed soundtracks for games. Not that remixer are bad but an actual composition of this theme with real instruments would be orgasmic/eargasmic
Sorry, but nintendo decided that smash 4 was better off turning into an ad for their latest games as oposed to the balanace between classics, modern, popularity and currentness
When I was younger, I could never beat dialga. My brother defeated him once, but we were in a rush and he accidentally forgot to save. I was devastated, and it wasn’t until a year or so ago that I tried the game again. When I got past dialga I cried so hard, but I’m glad I got to experience it when I fully understood it.
I also know that feeling. Many years ago when I was a kid I played this game and failed to ever beat the final Dusknoir fight. I tried over and over but eventually gave up. After resetting my save file about a week ago, I finally beat the game today. My original save was 17 hours long, this time it was 30 hours. I assume I was extremely under-leveled and couldn’t one shot the Sableye so I got overwhelmed every time. This time I destroyed Dusknoir and Primal Dialga as I was level 48 or so.
this fucking battle. I climbed that god forsaken tower so many times. i remember one time i beat this battle, and i cried out of joy. I shut my ds because i just couldn't handle it. I opened it to find that it said, "game cartridge has been removed"
This song captures urgency, optimism and sorrow all so well, so fitting for the sorrowful player knowing what’s about to happen if they succeed, the optimistic partner knowing that they have to prevail, and Dialga, who’s mind is deteriorating fast, and must be urgently saved.
this is by far my favorite song in all of the pokemon franchise. It combines that rushed, action packed feel with that calming and soothing feel. That usually doesn't go well but this song does it perfectly.
I tear up just a bit every time I hear this song... The story was exceptionally good, extremely moving, easy to personify yourself in characters, and extremely attaching..... all the more amazing that it was a goddamn Pokémon spin off game for the DS made so that 8 year olds could play and understand it. Definitely the most personally impactful game I've ever played.
"Welcome to the Salty Spitoon. How tough are ya?" How tough am I? I beat Primal Dialga as an Eevee! "Yeah, so?" Without a single reviver seed in my inventory. (Yeah...the Gardevoir from the Team Charm special episode used up every last one of them. -_-) "R-right this way, m-ma'am!"
Cela08 I'm not really sure if that's the way to put it, but she kept getting knocked out in the fight against Aggron. So, more like a super frail teammate who, due to Steel resisting Psychic, probably would have been better off sitting that fight out. Man, that one boss is impossible without Baton Pass, I'm telling you. -_-
NoImNotObsessed Well, enough patience and level grinding can make any boss a piece of cake. I was in my early 50s, which is about the same level as Primal Dialga according to the official Explorers of Sky guidebook, so the fields were rather evenly matched.
Let's be honest. In Time and Darkness, Skitty was overpowered as heck. I first played as Treecko and had a rough time. I played as Skitty and destroyed everything on my second run. No wonder it got nerfed in Sky.
Mudkip was overpowered when it came to bosses thanks to endeavor. Dropped any bosses hp to the same hp as him meaning you could easily ko them with a few attacks.
@@MotivatedStudent2000 A couple years after, I think, since it released in 2009. Sky remains one of my favorite games, and I've replayed it a few times since then. Even after all this time, the music totally bops, and some select tracks are in my normal listening playlist. Glad people are still loving this game and its music!
@@kunik61 You gotta admit it'd be bloody brilliant to be fighting a rampant Dialga on Spear Pillar though. Hell, a rampant creation trio would be brilliant.
Everytime I hear this theme, my eyes get all teary. It makes me remember how I felt when I got to that final battle the first time ever, when I had to face a GOD OF TIME, battle for the sake of the entire world... and know that if I win, I'll stop existing, and my partner will suffer immensely as a result to boot.
Gives me goosebumps every time. I remember always going into this fight ready to take Dialga down with all I had because I was SO UPSET about Grovyle. This song as so much hope, but it also makes me feel a little empty inside because you know what happens after the battle...
If they ever remake Diamond and Pearl, I vote for Primal Dialga and Primal Palkia as two different themes. Primal Palkia gets the actual standard theme it got from the past but remixed, but we need a special version of this for Dialga.
My 6 year old self found out Smokescreen just made all enemy moves auto-fail and just used that to utterly annihilate every boss as an underleveled Cyndaquil. So I only used apples and the rare oran berry because it had my name on it. Everything else was for selling. It was great!
I was actually a 9 year old that did use items but just kept trying after losing so I ended up at level 50 when im pretty sure i entered the tower at level 39
I always saw the final boss' theme of every mystery dungeon, especially Rayquaza and Dialga's, as the theme of our team; this is their final stretch, this one last step after such a gruelsome effort of two little Pokémon fighting for the greater good that is the whole world. It is such a befitting theme for them.
1:12. That part always gets me and drives home how d*mn majestic this battle was. You fight with your partner who you've literally crossed time and space with to save the world. This was peak pokemon for me.
There’s something so inspiring and dramatic about those two little Pokémon (whatever you chose) going up against this monster, knowing that they don’t really have a chance of surviving but if they don’t try, all their friends and the world they know will be doomed forever
This- THIS is the song that is my favorite from the whole game. It sparks joy, yet courage and emotion. I only beat the game in 2017 after having all the versions of it on a R4 card for years. I was a Shinx (Kit) and my partner was a Chimchar (Reece). I recorded the whole ending and put it on this channel as private. I love reading the comments on each one of the soundtracks about everyone's different experiences playing this wonderful game. I'm getting emotional just typing this, thank you Nintendo for creating a truly fantastic game that WILL be enjoyed for years to come
Just started playing PMD sky 10 days ago. Played around 30 hours, and now at the Aegis cave. The soundtrack in this game is so nostalgic... I never got to even complete the main story when I was young. Really glad that I got to play this game again and see the main story's ending with the NDS lite that I found in my storage. also fuck aegis cave. It's literal torture
Probably the best game I've played, Ever. The Final Boss theme is downright amazing, had me pumped up and ready to save the world with VIGOR. The leitmotifs in songs leading up to this, in the future area, to the endgame area. This is just beautifully arranged and thought out
this song just decided to pop up in my reccomendations today and now i'm crying!! yay!!! i used to be so obsessed with mystery dungeon. i was terrible at the games and could barely pass 1 dungeon in them so i never played them much, despite owning dx for the switch and explorers of time on my ds emulator, but i was in love with the music and story. this song in particular was one of my favorites. it was so special to me. i even wrote my own lyrics to the song many years ago. i think there was some other channel that had made lyrics so i was kinda like "hey i should write my own lyrics for this song!! that'd be cool!!!" and now here i am, a lyric-obsessed maniac. (curse you, splatoon... it's mostly your fault that i'm like this...) i think i deleted the lyrics off my computer, and i can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing. on one side, i don't want to cringe terribly at my old lyric writing (my current lyric writing skills are still terrible), but on the other, i kinda want to read the lyrics. i remember a lyric about ice cream. i feel like the only reason i haven't re-stumbled across this song sooner is because i have this weird fear of looking up music from games i'm not currently into. like if i wanna check, say, touhou 16's extra boss theme? or, some random splatoon song? i can do that just fine, but if i wanna look up pokemon music? NOPE. i'm sorry for writing this really long wall of text. i just really like this song. thanks youtube, for letting me re-stumble across this!
I've been playing this game since i was a younger elementary schooler, and I'm a 20 year old now. And yet, after all these years, this doesn't cease to make my heart skip a beat. Several times.
It's funny how little this game overlooks one part. A lot of people associate this theme w you and your partner but the special episode is way more iconic. Dusknoir and grovyle have had a rift for years yet Dusknoir suddenly decides that he wants to shine with what little life he's got left rather then just dispose of everything. So they all team up as there dying against a god. Even against the odds. Just the wind the text and the way the theme hits
when i was a kid i tried to do this fight so many times and never won. replayed this game last year after about 8 years and, by the skin of my teeth, i got it first try. one of the sickest songs in the game. i genuinely dont even have the words for how good explorers (and its soundtrack) is.
I never finished Sky and only played it several years after its release, but even before and now, too, this music makes me feel such a strong kind of emotion and longing.
that's what I did just stocked up on a bunch of reviver seeds and endevoured dialga when I was blinking. Killed him in mere seconds I'm just glad I got a mudkip to begin with
Dialga was HARD for me... Most of my reviver seeds went on dusk noire battle and by the time I got to Dialga he defeated me with Raar of Time... I wish I had found out about the tactics button earlier.
Yeah, Primal Dialga is always a pain in the butt, but eventually you make it through, besides, Roar of Time, if you can survive, freezes Primal Dialga, giving you time to heal up.
Beautiful. Memories are flowing back like old friends...A tear comes to my eye... And I laugh at everyone in the comments who complains about Dialga. I had full stocks dedicated to Reviver Seeds and Sleep Seeds, and Dig was a phenomenal choice in my moveset.
+joshua kim I was a Riolu, so I at least had the Fighting-type advantage against him. He was still a decent threat that I needed to pack several Reviver Seeds for, but at least I could use Force Palm and Focus Blast to deal out the damage.
On one of my playthroughs, I was riolu and just used force palm like 2 or 3 times and it was over. Shame I couldn't listen to the music, but still an awesome final boss to go with an awesome final boss theme
I had to grind to like, level 55 and have a bag full of Revival Seeds to beat Primal Dialga because he kept spamming Roar of Time and one hit killing my team. But anyways, my favourite song in this masterpiece soundtrack.
Evien Vazquez And make it so you and your partner's evolutions have unique "waking up" animations so you aren't just "dancing" every morning after you evolve.
If this happens, especially after the announced a remake of Red and Blue Rescue Team remake, then I'm definitely hoping it adopts its own really cool art style and definitely improve the graphics and utilizes the power of the Switch.
Stratelier The thing is, they didnt reprise the music. Hell, there's an entire Jukebox that they added. The Music is good and NOT repetetive. Just check out the list of music they had
Taya Llufrio Tao Mai The Opossum Or you could play risky and use Endure + Reversal by eating violent seeds then using stun seeds to paralyze Dialga once your HP gets very low, in which if Intimidate doesn't trigger, gg.
beating dialga took me a bunch of tries I was about to give up I got lucky and finally beat him I cried of happiness I miss this game (I beat the game in 2009)
When I first played this, I had Treeko and Cyndaquil. I was finding it somewhat difficult going though the tower. (Due to me doing lots of jobs in minimal amount of time = less dungeon runs = under levelled ). Then I met this thing and I was going critical, little to no items, hardly any PP, and only my wit. It was tough, but I did managed to pacify the god of time.
the amount of times i had to climb the fucking tower for dialga only to consistantly die like 2-3 hits before dialga does killed me everytime but i never hated the song for it. It's a fucking banger
Here are some fanmade lyrics for ya: This is not right Such high stakes But I must fight Whatever it takes Someday this war This pain inside Will be over So many have died My soul is corrupt I am broken But still it's untouched And unspoken My primal instinct All that's left of me To destruction it's linked But I cannot flee I dedicate my life, my soul to this war But sometimes my heart yearns for more I have so much pride, but it is never enough Every death unaffects me inside I yearn for meaning And still, when they fall down in front of me I feel absolutely nothing I'll keep fighting on (even with this pain) For I am strong (on the outside) For I am no longer human I dedicate my life to this war But sometimes my heart yearns for more I have pride, but it is simply never enough I yearn for meaning Maybe it's right How would I know I'm sick of this plight I suppose it shows There's more than one war There's one in my soul And the hole that it tore Will never be whole But I must fight on For our pride I am only brawn And I've already died My primal instinct All that's left of me To destruction it's linked But I cannot flee I dedicate my life, my soul to this war But sometimes my heart yearns for more My pride is wavering, it was never enough Every death starts to affect me I yearn for meaning For once, when they fall down in front of me I felt a sense of remorse I'll keep fighting on (even with this pain) For I am strong (on the outside) For I am no longer human I dedicate my life to this war But sometimes my heart yearns for more My pride is wavering, it was never enough I yearn for meaning This must be right It has to be I will fight Even if I can't see I fight for this war It is my pride I don't wish for more My soul has died I don't know what's real I am broken I no longer feel I'm unspoken My primal instinct All that's left of me To destruction it's linked But I cannot flee Edit: Oh boy these lyrics are old... this was before I played the game so I knew nothing about Primal Dialga, thus these lyrics have nothing to do with the fight. I just really liked the song and it inspired me. So yeah... Edit 2: I'd also like to add that I wrote these lyrics for Dasgust's remix (which has a bigger emphasis on the background plucks or whatever you'd call them) so it may be hard to match the lyrics to this version of the song. Also if you haven't already, search up Larissa Glines' lyrics for this song. They're really good and actually have to do with the game.
Since Rayquaza's fight in Rescue Team DX had a lot more going for it, I can only imagine the possibilities for a Primal Dialga fight like it. Rayquaza's fight had winds stir up and knock you back, and you had to dodge gusts of wind as you made your way back toward Rayquaza to attack it again. What if Dialga reverted time to send you back to the back of the pinnacle, and as you made your way back you had to dodge parts of Temporal Tower that were unstable and about to collapse, all the while Dialga fires Roar of Time at you. I really hope we get an Explorers DX and they make it as good as Rescue Team DX is.
i listened to this in my head in my biology exam (my final one) like the question were dialga and i had to beat it. 1 week later, got results and... A+ F*** YEA!
You know what the best feeling ever is during this battle?
When Dialga tries to hit you and your partner, and your hear that *miss* sound effect twice.
times that by 4, as he keeps attempting
Literally every time Primal Dialga missed Roar of Time my heart almost stopped 😂
Or when you do get hit, you live by a thread of HP, Dialga has to recharge, giving you time to heal. Heart attack moment a bit.
I never got to hear the sound of missing in my battle with dialga unless it was my own move
Or when you kill him in 1 turn
Dialga, you left your caps lock on.
i finished scrolling down right as i saw your comment and then started scrolling up . after 2 seconds of realizing your comment i scrolled back down to give it a like
Where can I put the medals?
GIGIGIGIGII (hit like if you know where dialga said that) 😂
Dialga: THIS IS MY NORMAL VOICE!
Palkia and the Regis too lol
Partner: so what's your strategy for getting us through temporal tower?
Me, with my inventory filled with nothing but reviver seeds I've been collecting the whole game specifically for this moment: my what now
Why is this so true xD?
That was my strategy, until Dialga decided to get a double ancient power boost and burn through all the revivier seeds and still kill me.
You forgot zhe ridiculous amount of flair seeds for dialga ;)
I kept dying on purpose to level up a shit ton then added the reviver seeds maxed out and kicked ass only died like 3 times but was still worth grinding
Legit yeah

This song is also known as
"Dialga's Roar Of Time Spam!"
Here's a solution use skitty keep both sing AND assist as a link move
Hunger seed, violent seed, focus punch as riolu= 1 shot dialga
I beat him as Pikachu and my partner was Riolu.
Donelle Bullock Did Riolu one-shot him for ya?
No, I finished him off myself.

That's awesome.
One of very few games that had me shaking with anticipation as the plot progressed.
:). Hope Super Mystery Dungeon will be good too!
jordi de waard I have high hopes for it!~ :D
Yep. It probably won't be as good as this, but it can be very nice too! :).
Dialga use Roar of Time!
Well sh-
*Miss me*
Oh
*Miss my partner*
OH
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
Deadass this is my reaction when this happens LMFAO
just toss an x eye seed at him makes the boss a total joke

Something like that, the sound is in fact the whistle synth, I wish the composer used it more in the game tbh.
This game has taught me so much. My favorite game of all time. Just that.

I feel you I always had bad luck of bosses spamming all-hit moves
That's how darkrai felt when pikachu used discharge.
Roar of time is the reason I can't win.

yeah, if i can survive the climb back up.

this fucking battle. I climbed that god forsaken tower so many times. i remember one time i beat this battle, and i cried out of joy. I shut my ds because i just couldn't handle it. I opened it to find that it said, "game cartridge has been removed"
Hahahahahaha hahahahaha when I read your comment I fell on the floor picturing that, that is just to funny XD
XD
This is the saddest freakin story I have ever heard.
a1uM1nuM448 I am SO sorry
a1uM1nuM448 😭😭😭 that's the worst.
This song captures urgency, optimism and sorrow all so well, so fitting for the sorrowful player knowing what’s about to happen if they succeed, the optimistic partner knowing that they have to prevail, and Dialga, who’s mind is deteriorating fast, and must be urgently saved.
h
this is by far my favorite song in all of the pokemon franchise.
Definitely the most personally impactful game I've ever played.
tbh this gives me chills every time
Every single time
"Welcome to the Salty Spitoon. How tough are ya?"
How tough am I? I beat Primal Dialga as an Eevee!
"Yeah, so?"
Without a single reviver seed in my inventory. (Yeah...the Gardevoir from the Team Charm special episode used up every last one of them. -_-)
"R-right this way, m-ma'am!"
Cela08
I'm not really sure if that's the way to put it, but she kept getting knocked out in the fight against Aggron. So, more like a super frail teammate who, due to Steel resisting Psychic, probably would have been better off sitting that fight out. Man, that one boss is impossible without Baton Pass, I'm telling you. -_-
Cela08
Yeah. Medicham was easily the most helpful member of the team for me. ^_^
Dude I was level 60 and I beat him after using Flail a couple of times :/
NoImNotObsessed
Well, enough patience and level grinding can make any boss a piece of cake. I was in my early 50s, which is about the same level as Primal Dialga according to the official Explorers of Sky guidebook, so the fields were rather evenly matched.
PurpleOrcaLuv I had skitty the first time I played time. That sucked
You could've told me that this was from any other RPG other than Pokemon, and I wouldn't even argue with you.
No, the only rpg this could come from is Pokémon.
@@porphyriticnegative7284
No...
yeah, if you've never played PMD more than a minute
@@lordofhostsappreciator3075 man I have to agree but pmd2 is still gold
I do get that argument but I would still argue even before Mystery Dungeon Pokemon had some really killer music, I mean Blue's battle theme anyone?
Let's be honest. In Time and Darkness, Skitty was overpowered as heck. I first played as Treecko and had a rough time. I played as Skitty and destroyed everything on my second run. No wonder it got nerfed in Sky.
Seriously?
As Skitty i could NEVER beat Dialga
I destroyed EVERYONE with Skitty, mostly because Assist has a huge amount of moves with all the enemies around in a dungeon.
Mudkip was overpowered when it came to bosses thanks to endeavor. Dropped any bosses hp to the same hp as him meaning you could easily ko them with a few attacks.
Eevee and her ability... GG!
MathWiz86 How?
This song is everything a boss' music should be. Dear god this is amazing, and it really makes you feel that this is the the last fight.
Your comment was posted around the time Sky was released, right? I love this game!
Petition to make Primal Dialga and this song a canon thing in the main series games
You can sign it by replying or however you want to do it
Primal Form is not a power creep. It is a corrupted state Dialga will revive you for helping getting rid off it later.
@@kunik61 You gotta admit it'd be bloody brilliant to be fighting a rampant Dialga on Spear Pillar though. Hell, a rampant creation trio would be brilliant.
With brilliant diamond and shining pearl it might have a chance

Best game ever. Best boss music ever. Tingles every time.
Last year i was whistling this for some reason and forgot where it was from. FROM MY FAV FUCKING GAME EVER THATS WHERE.
Sneffman lol I love this comment.
what were you doing, when whistling this?
Hatake Kakashi i dont actually know
Sneffman this music is pretty fast. How the hell do you whistle it?
Hatake Kakashi i dont know i just kind of did
It is easy to do. I found myself whistling this without knowing it anymore. Just searched it up like 1 year ago and found it after two hour search.
Hearing this play during special episode 5 in the future of darkness is one of the best scenes ever, just hits the feels and the chills
3:06 Best arpeggio in the entire history of music
👍
Gives me goosebumps every time. I remember always going into this fight ready to take Dialga down with all I had because I was SO UPSET about Grovyle. This song as so much hope, but it also makes me feel a little empty inside because you know what happens after the battle...
*STOP ROARING YOU HEATHEN*
If they ever remake Diamond and Pearl, I vote for Primal Dialga and Primal Palkia as two different themes. Primal Palkia gets the actual standard theme it got from the past but remixed, but we need a special version of this for Dialga.
palkias onslaught??
Or at least insert this leitmotif as an easter egg
Primal Giratina would be sick
If they don't that would be such a missed opportunity
Let's go and vote then, i guess
In reality, it's only 5-10 seconds that you can hear this... if you're a 6 year old and think they're edgy enough to use no items.
I'm 18, I've been edgy enough to use no items and I heard this theme about 15 times while trying my hardest for about 2 1/2 hours. What now?
First time I fought dialga he crit me with roar of time and I was like oh my lord this music so I leftit on the chat log to hear it
Don't call my six-year-old self out like this.
They really should've remixed this for SSB4.
I was thinking that just the other day, they really should've though.
ExtractorGames they remixed it for the one thats coming out soon
Smith Bob Super Mystery Dungeon? How do you know?
+ExtractorGames look it up
Maybe in the possibly upcoming Smash 5? Who knows?
What if you.
Wanted to save the world.
But god said.
*Dialga used Roar of Time*
>141
>meowth fainted!

>it's very effective!
>riolu fainted!
No one on this planet can look me in the eye and tell me that this isn't beautiful.
I'm getting emotional just typing this, thank you Nintendo for creating a truly fantastic game that WILL be enjoyed for years to come
BEST POKEMON GAME OF THEM ALL! I grew up with this game and I love its music so much, an easy 10/10
Easily one of the best final boss themes ever created. Gives me goosebumps every time.
GAAH! SO MANY FEELS!!! Who are these amazing geniuses that composed such an epic and incredibly wonderful soundtrack?!?! 😊
Poninefreak You know the composers are amazing when they can make monster rooms sound good ^-^
Just started playing PMD sky 10 days ago. Played around 30 hours, and now at the Aegis cave. The soundtrack in this game is so nostalgic... I never got to even complete the main story when I was young. Really glad that I got to play this game again and see the main story's ending with the NDS lite that I found in my storage.
also fuck aegis cave. It's literal torture
whoever composed this deserves a raise
Good old times
I miss this game so much
Ethan Kinder why cant they make a 2nd version of this :c
I know! A remake would be soooooooo good
Probably the best game I've played, Ever.
The Final Boss theme is downright amazing, had me pumped up and ready to save the world with VIGOR.
The leitmotifs in songs leading up to this, in the future area, to the endgame area. This is just beautifully arranged and thought out
primal boi uses roar of clock
hardie har har XD
Use it on Monster Houses every time.
Roar of Time's sound effect has forever been burned into my mind
sky had more story than darkness and time
Sky has more of a story than any other 3D mystery dungeon game
+Tennessee Fan do you think sky is the best mstery dungeon because im in the middle of sky and red rescue team
Archduke Luke sky is the best
Jamiera Cat I know
sky had more of a story than any game ever
Until I experienced this boss fight I had no clue a flute could pump someone up so well
I get goosebumps everytime at 1:26 man it's so good
this song just decided to pop up in my reccomendations today and now i'm crying!! yay!!!
i used to be so obsessed with mystery dungeon. i was terrible at the games and could barely pass 1 dungeon in them so i never played them much, despite owning dx for the switch and explorers of time on my ds emulator, but i was in love with the music and story.
this song in particular was one of my favorites. it was so special to me. i even wrote my own lyrics to the song many years ago. i think there was some other channel that had made lyrics so i was kinda like "hey i should write my own lyrics for this song!! that'd be cool!!!" and now here i am, a lyric-obsessed maniac.
(curse you, splatoon... it's mostly your fault that i'm like this...)
i think i deleted the lyrics off my computer, and i can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing. on one side, i don't want to cringe terribly at my old lyric writing (my current lyric writing skills are still terrible), but on the other, i kinda want to read the lyrics. i remember a lyric about ice cream.
i feel like the only reason i haven't re-stumbled across this song sooner is because i have this weird fear of looking up music from games i'm not currently into. like if i wanna check, say, touhou 16's extra boss theme? or, some random splatoon song? i can do that just fine, but if i wanna look up pokemon music? NOPE.
i'm sorry for writing this really long wall of text. i just really like this song.
thanks youtube, for letting me re-stumble across this!
_(prays to Arceus for Explorers DX sometime in the next few years)_
I've been playing this game since i was a younger elementary schooler, and I'm a 20 year old now. And yet, after all these years, this doesn't cease to make my heart skip a beat. Several times.
Honestly now that Arceus is out, I lowkey can't wait to fight origin Dialga in an explorers remake
There was something about this game that no other game had, except platinum. But what was the 1 thing?
Blue rescue team has it, it's called good music
Is it Challenge?
Plat and sky are the only pokemon games I replay to this day
when i was a kid i tried to do this fight so many times and never won. replayed this game last year after about 8 years and, by the skin of my teeth, i got it first try. one of the sickest songs in the game. i genuinely dont even have the words for how good explorers (and its soundtrack) is.

Spike Chunsoft: "Hold my DS"
Fought this guy with nothing but a sleep seed and a reviver seed. I lost all my items on dusknoir):{
Bro.....are you serious?
i can relate, im playing through now and abusing save states with 3 sleep seeds and 1 reviver and i hate salimance now
Dingus Home I still despise porygon-z , Discharge is evil.
And Solrock I really hate Solrock.
I never finished Sky and only played it several years after its release, but even before and now, too, this music makes me feel such a strong kind of emotion and longing.
Note to self, Use mudkip while fighting Dialga.
Mudkip and Pikachu! Pokepals for life!
I was Pikachu and my partner was Riolu. We managed to win, once with near impossibility and the other with ease.
Well Mudkip does learn Endeavor so that's nice
that's what I did
just stocked up on a bunch of reviver seeds and endevoured dialga when I was blinking. Killed him in mere seconds
I'm just glad I got a mudkip to begin with
@@socks5266 i played as a treecko with a skitty partner. After being OHKO'd by the fucker for 50 times, luck pitied me and i managed to kill it...
Even 6 years after I first finished this game this song still gives me goosebumps. An amazing finale for my favorite game of all time.
In terms of story battles i would put dialga as the 3rd hardest boss battle
man mystery dungeon games really have the best soundtrack. i wish the main series had better ones.
In one of my playthroughs I got through as a supportive Pikachu with agility and light screen. On top of that I think I had a sword dancing Charmander
+joshua kim I completely rekt him with Riolu. Sleep seed to knock him out, then spam force palm until he's dead.
This should be canon mainline Pokémon
I had to grind to like, level 55 and have a bag full of Revival Seeds to beat Primal Dialga because he kept spamming Roar of Time and one hit killing my team. But anyways, my favourite song in this masterpiece soundtrack.
I may not cry now...
but I cried the first couple times ten years ago...
And that means they meant something to me.
We should get a remake of this game and add a few of the newer Pokémon but try to make it the same with better graphics
Evien Vazquez And make it so you and your partner's evolutions have unique "waking up" animations so you aren't just "dancing" every morning after you evolve.
HECK YEH.
If this happens, especially after the announced a remake of Red and Blue Rescue Team remake, then I'm definitely hoping it adopts its own really cool art style and definitely improve the graphics and utilizes the power of the Switch.
@@twilighttoast01 Same! That'd be awesome!
Best theme in all games of Pokémon
The nostalgia
Definitely one of the few boss battle themes that can never be topped by anything else, only equaled or rivaled.
pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky. still a better game than pokemon omega ruby and alpha sapphire.
PMD EoS: 4.9/10 Repetetive music
Pokemon OR/AS: 7.8 too much water
+Sans Reprising and remixing a musical theme is actually good repetition, not bad repetition.

Wait, was that first post sarcasm? I must've missed that. I call Poe's Law.
It's not.
It's IGN's crappy ratings.
Dagahra the faithful Squirtle, I will never forget when you landed that decisive Focus Punch to one of the hardest bosses I've ever fought.
1. Played as Riolu
2. Use stun seed
3. Eat violent seed
4. Focus Blast
Get fuckin rekt
Ironsonic100 That is exactly what I did. Except I used Focus Punch but it's pretty much the same thing.
Taya Llufrio Tao Mai The Opossum Or you could play risky and use Endure + Reversal by eating violent seeds then using stun seeds to paralyze Dialga once your HP gets very low, in which if Intimidate doesn't trigger, gg.
beating dialga took me a bunch of tries I was about to give up I got lucky and finally beat him I cried of happiness I miss this game (I beat the game in 2009)
I loved explores of time I still have my cartridge it's fun to go back every once and awhile and play it again
The start is screaming Zelda
my absolute favourite boss theme of all time... Fever Ray's The Wolf doesn't even meet the epicness and awesomeness that this song has...
Here are some fanmade lyrics for ya:
This is not right
Such high stakes
But I must fight
Whatever it takes
Someday this war
This pain inside
Will be over
So many have died
My soul is corrupt
I am broken
But still it's untouched
And unspoken
My primal instinct
All that's left of me
To destruction it's linked
But I cannot flee
I dedicate my life, my soul to this war
But sometimes my heart yearns for more
I have so much pride, but it is never enough
Every death unaffects me inside
I yearn for meaning
And still, when they fall down in front of me
I feel absolutely nothing
I'll keep fighting on (even with this pain)
For I am strong (on the outside)
For I am no longer human
I dedicate my life to this war
But sometimes my heart yearns for more
I have pride, but it is simply never enough
I yearn for meaning
Maybe it's right
How would I know
I'm sick of this plight
I suppose it shows
There's more than one war
There's one in my soul
And the hole that it tore
Will never be whole
But I must fight on
For our pride
I am only brawn
And I've already died
My primal instinct
All that's left of me
To destruction it's linked
But I cannot flee
I dedicate my life, my soul to this war
But sometimes my heart yearns for more
My pride is wavering, it was never enough
Every death starts to affect me
I yearn for meaning
For once, when they fall down in front of me
I felt a sense of remorse
I'll keep fighting on (even with this pain)
For I am strong (on the outside)
For I am no longer human
I dedicate my life to this war
But sometimes my heart yearns for more
My pride is wavering, it was never enough
I yearn for meaning
This must be right
It has to be
I will fight
Even if I can't see
I fight for this war
It is my pride
I don't wish for more
My soul has died
I don't know what's real
I am broken
I no longer feel
I'm unspoken
My primal instinct
All that's left of me
To destruction it's linked
But I cannot flee
Edit: Oh boy these lyrics are old... this was before I played the game so I knew nothing about Primal Dialga, thus these lyrics have nothing to do with the fight.
They're really good and actually have to do with the game.
still though, i wouldn't complain, since this fight is all or nothing, a last ditch effort to save the world. For a kids game that is deep
Why does this remind me of “Battle Against a True Hero” from Undertale?
Best boss battle music ever.
Imagien Defeating Dialga, and then he suddenly uses a Revive Seed to.
Ohhhh nooo

Anyway, best fight music in the game
+morgan megurine He's a real Once-Punch man, eh?
+cosmo davila Gotta eat a Violent Seed then maybe use focus energy
+cosmo davila Anime references FTW!
Yeah, I 2-shot him with that move. It would've been easier, but he kept using Roar of Time and killing me, so the Reviver Seed reset my moves.
That's how the speedrun goes, running Riolu/Treecko, using a violent seed, and basically one-shotting Dialga.
"Dialga used Roar of Time!"
My bag half filled with Reviver Seeds I saved for the late game:
"Allow us to introduce ourselves."
And also PMD5
Brilliant yet evil.
i listened to this in my head in my biology exam (my final one) like the question were dialga and i had to beat it. 1 week later, got results and... A+ F*** YEA!
