Clarification/correction on IMF policy at 16:06: the number of loans on the policy board is the number that triggers IMF intervention, so A and B trigger on the second loan, and C will trigger with just one loan.

A note on the IMF intervention: If the fiscal policy is 1C, the IMF intervenes even if you have 1 loan, and for 1A and 1C it is 2 loans - so it states not how many loans you can have, but how many to trigger IMF intervention

Thanks for catching that point. I added a correction note that should show up as a chapter and added a comment as well.

A really small thing, but you mentioned that the state can take extra taxes twice in a row. And the first time you mentioned it, you say that it's minus one to legitimacy with all three of the others.
Thanks for the video, I am desperate for more content for this game!

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll look that over and see if I can tighten it up a bit.

These videos are great in helping me learn the game. Would it be possible to illustrate how the automas work? If you could please show a couple of examples each of how the simple and advanced automas work, that would be fantastic.

Hi! I’m glad the videos are helping. The next few videos are going to walk through how the mechanics of the automas (both simple and advanced) work, and then I will record at least a few rounds of gameplay with automas, possibly full games. It might take a little time to get all of those finished, but they are coming.

A big doubt we have. When the state is doing a card that states PROVIDE whatever... where is this whatever coming from? Like, as example, food and then education. (depending on the answer there will be some other questions but I did not want to post all at the same time, thanks)

You can use items you own, or purchase from other players or the foreign market for the things you wouldn’t have like education and food. And voting cubes you would just take from the supply (though influence you would have to provide from your personal influence).

@LakesideGamers5 i have played 3 times, and we never had a chance to get supplies for the state, so how can the state get suplies? And let's focus on education. Something the state can not storage. Where does the state take it in first? Public companies production? Then other players? And then? If there is nothing on the public sector supplies and none of the players have available?

You would buy it directly from the places it is available at the time you are trying to provide to other players (or if you have another event card you are trying to complete, you can make the purchase at the time you are trying to complete the card). For the goods the state player has produced, it makes sense to use public goods to provide as they would be paying themselves, and they would be free to the state player. Since you are allowed to buy from other players or the foreign market, if food or luxury run out elsewhere the foreign market is still available, but if healthcare or education run out from all players, then they run out. Considering there should be ample supply of education and healthcare available at the beginning of a round, the state player should prioritize completing event cards that Have those goods so the other players don’t use them up first.

@LakesideGamers5 we are getting to the point. State is the last to play, and on all games, all the public production has run out when it is the state's 1st turn. At least on all games I've played. But in a nutshell, if there is no health or education on the boards, the state can not buy it from the supply, so the state will not be able to complete the card... only the influence can be taken from supply. Also, the state board has room for food and luxury, but we never know how the state can fill it. Is there any card?

    • @LakesideGamers5

There are cards that allow you to buy businesses from the capitalist player, so if you buy a luxury or a food business, you can then produce those goods. Also, the capitalist has cards that they can sell goods to the state, and luxury is one of the goods represented on one of the cards.
