Watch: At algae-covered Manatee Springs in Florida, the beloved marine mammals no longer have the resources necessary to make the spring their home.

Hopefully we can find a way to get the food sources for manatees to thrive again in the springs.

Michigan has more miles of coastline unless the Great Lakes aren't counted.

To answer your question 9 years later, yes there are. Not always, but it is very likely you could/will see one.

Horrible thing I am about to say. I cant imagine it helps the water quality for her to be in it. I don't mean that she is a disgusting beast, just that she is a pollutant, just like what she preaches against. Again, I know its horrible. How about we stay out of the water and work toward a solution instead of kicking up silt and muddying it further? Small thing? Sure. But I have to believe it factors in.

I have dove with Annette many times so I can attest that she doesn't stir up mud and silt while diving. Experienced cave divers become very good at not disturbing silt. Disturbing the silt can be life-threatening when you are deep underground.

I second the first commenters answer. I also would like to add that "kicking up silt" is not what pollutes the water, neither does oils from your skin or hair. What pollutes the water is the chemicals in pesticides used on farms that seep into the soil and end up in the springs. Your comment was kinda ignorant.
