This was season one, so long before Brad Kern pushed the creator Constance M. Burge out of the show. That happened after season four. It’s why the writing kind of takes a drastic turn, Constance was no longer apart of the show. Wyatt is born in season five and was always Brad’s perfect bundle of masculinity. It’s the reason why later seasons revolve around Wyatt and Chris as opposed to the core theme of sisterhood like it did the first three seasons.
@@Damodred_Heiress that’s not a bad thing though. In the first seasons the girls were just learning about their magic, they barely knew about the existence of other witches/magical beings. So it’s not a bad thing that more male witches were born into the family. It kinda also made sense for the progression of their bloodline.
Geu the second half is the way home in the second half the time I got it ok for me to come over to pay for the time I have the way home in about the time you will have a good day I got it ok to take to the way to the time for me know when your ready to pay respects the second one I have a good day I got home I have the way home in about an old Lady the time you get here for you guys to come over and the way you
Some typical early series weirdness. Not much of the lore established still/continuity errors - they also hadn't met a male witch yet at this point if I remember correctly, so could have also been the writers trying to show the Charmed Ones inexperience. Also they had a plot hole when this spell was used again later on by Paige, I love Charmed but it's not known for amazing continuity 😭🤣 so attribute the "if they're girls" line to that
Ya I just assumed it was because they whole family line until now had been women! They still knew so little about magic at this point, they probably thought it was just women! I think Max is the first one Prue meets which isn't until later! 😃 Or ya know, writers and continuity errors! 😂😂😂😂
Wyatt and Chris inherit their magic from both parents, while Prue and Andy children would only inherit their magic from Prue. Plus Prue said girls, so the boys can be mortal. Let's not forget the witch gene, this is how Billie and Christy got their magic
@@keisha_james Paige tweaked the spell so that it couldn't affect her. She even said as much that she was going to do so. Not really a plot hole like a few of the other continuity mishaps in that episode, like Penny claiming it was Patty's wiccaning even though her first husband wasn't supposed to be dead according to the Family Tree (which is rife with errors that we mostly don't rely on it) but the plot hinges on her love affair with the Necromancer, but I digress. Also, this was indeed back when the show was only 10 episodes ordered and this was episode 8 of that. So no doubt they didn't have things entirely figured out until afterwards and realized that it'd probably be very limiting having such a restriction would be on stories they could tell. And they ditched it pretty quickly, because the first witch they helped was a young male witch four episodes after Wicca Envy.
I don't understand Andy. What exactly is wrong if your wife/husband was a witch? It's not like it's a contagious disease. Heck if my partner told me they were magical I'd be so amazed.
Once Andy knew that Prue, Phoebe and Piper were witches, they should've kept Andy alive, so that Prue and Andy could've been a romantic couple. I think Andy, given enough time, would've grown into accepting all the witchy stuff. I don't think it's fair that Piper had Leo and Phoebe had Cole and Coop, but Prue only dated Jack and then ended up alone and then dead. Aaron Spelling was a jerk!
This was also the time when the new age was expanding which began in the 70s in the UK and became popular in the US and rest of the world in the 80s and 90s. The entities mentioned, the practices, terminologies and so on were on point with some inaccuracies of course for acting purposes and these were relatively new to unfamiliar viewers. I believe the reboot ran out some ideas because some of their stuffs were already seen or heard on other witch shows.
“You’re telekinetic?” He said like it’s the most normal thing in the world. Loved this scene ❤
He must be a fan of Carrie
@@johnasteadmaniii7635 yes 😂😂
because it is.
haha Phoebe investigating Andy 🤣
If she was a friend of mine and told me I'd be like "can you give me powers?" Lol
Oh how wrong they were when they thought only their daughters could inherit their gifts
Exactly, tell me about it that boy in one episode inherited it from his mother.
Females being the only witches was a family trait not a Wiccan one. @@Ezio_1907
Its just one of those things the writers changed their mind about in later seasons. Probably to make it more “modern”

Always thought it was so cute how protective of her he was even when he learned she had powers ❤❤❤
“If they are girls yes.” They were so new to the craft ❤
3:57 that's not exactly true Piper had boys so I don't know why she said only girls are born witches.

Because Brad wanted boys instead of girls. Constance disagreed and it’s her story idea. She left the show after season 5.

I love this part where everyone had to say the truth. It was so funny. I wish we could do that to everyone , even for a day. Lol
so miss CHARMED...
Love how Phoebe's strategy was just talking over Andy whenever he tried asking a question lol

I hope this will be available in netflix or Disney+.
Disney+??? This show wasn’t made by Disney
This is an adult show no way in hell would they have this on Disney plus

Sadly this was not produced by Disney nor Fox, so it is unlikely to appear on Disney +
it's on amazon prime
The best part is the reboot was so off base it just made me miss this show
Exactly, The villains, characters, plot and acting was much more original and authentic.
