Bang! Train your dog to play dead!
Taught using positive reinforcement and clicker training.
My puppy picked this up pretty quickly (about two 5 minute sessions). But now this silly dog keeps falling out when he sees me with his treats! LMAO. I'm like dude we're working on something new!
Juan Pittman my dog does that, I get my treats out to show his tricks for guests and I come out and he's flopping on the floor. It's quite funny honestly
LOL😂😂😂
Xx.Heart Breaks.xx ARMY
Juan Pittman sameee!!!
Juan Pittman if me Sit when he see me he sit and if i stop he sit if i not give treat He bark 😂
why do I find myself giving the dog words of encouragement through the screen..?
Wow how relatable
We learned to roll over first. So now when i tell my dog to lay down he rolls like 4 times in a row😂
Update:
He can do it 😄
My dog is so smart that I just simply showed this video to him and then mimic this trick all by himself.
Daniel JohnFord sure
r/wooosh
Lmao!!!
that would be cool if it could happen but you are lieing so.....
Daniel JohnFord damn my dog is so smart he looked up the video himself on his own iPad
it's 1:36 am, I don't have a dog, and I don't know what I'm doing here
Hahaga
@@siddarthbalaji1061 2020 to lol
I'm teaching my aussie to sniff out unprotected wi-fi . I Almost have it down after a few hours.
This has been the best TH-cam video so far on step by step practical teaching of bang/play dead I’ve come across!
what am I doing here? I don't even have a dog
+Frances Maha SAME HERE LMFAO!
Frances Maha good for you. Not my problem
Frances Maha xD ikr BUTTTTTTT immmm getting a doggy
Frances Maha i know right?!😁😁😂😂

My dog has just learned this command today! I am so happy. And yes, definitely the hardest part was teaching him how to roll. Stay relaxed was pretty easy
I taught this to my whippet in one day, but all of my reinforcements were down on the ground in the "dead dog" position. It is a fun trick!
wow first time a video actually started off with an untrained dog until he was trained all the while actually explaining things along the way, appreciate it . plus the trainers pretty cute so that doesn't hurt
She's doing it! only took about 45 minutes! And the second JRT watched and has it half way down already. :) Thanks!
Contain your emotions, lady!
shut up
Adrian Strickland
you shut up!
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
nvm. im a year late.
KristinK same. I wanted them to fight too lmao
ahh this is frustrating my dog isn't that smart it only knows the easy tricks like: sit, lie down, stay, shake, and it pees outside but i know my dog is just trying to please me
your dog is smart i suppose, you have to adopt to her level and not oppsite
***** ok thanks.
anthony roche well your luck my dog won't do the easiest part... SIT
my dog bearly knows sit
Hey! You Can't say your Dog is not that smart because every Dog is really really really really smart. When it comes to certain things, Dogs are smarter than humans. So next time you say your Dog is not that smart Think about what I said.
The breaking down and step by step tutorial of this trick is so helpful. Thank you!
I can't get over how excited she was
Thank you! This helped me a lot, and my dog only took an hour to learn it!
Taught my dog using this video thank you!! She’s mastered it now
Your dog is gorgeous, and so eager to learn. I love how she just drops to the floor when you say down. Too cute :')
With this video my spaniel learned this trick after just two training sessions!Thank you!
3 AM , don't have a dog and still watching these
video
Awesome video! My dog caught on to the full trick within an hour. After that I made her perform the trick once a day for a week until she perfected it.
every time i time i try this my dog just rolls over (because he learned rollover before this) and he won't stop
I ended up teaching her to role over XD and she is really good at it too!
This makes much more sense then doing it from a standing position he just lays down not on his side and waits for a treat! I started this two days ago and he has went from a lay down to a relaxed bang position lolz thank you!
I enjoyed watching the tutorial. Good work! The trainee really got excited once she knew the full behavior. That's always fun to see the ah ha moment.
Excellent! And such a patient trainer. We look forward to trying this with our staffy X mastiff tomorrow. He learnt how to shake today.
this was great. Thanks a lot. it was extremely helpful.
Thank you so much, this was the most helpful video that I found
So cute❤ i love dogs they are truly a mans best friend😊
I showed this to my husky...
Now she can send a virus to scammers computers.
You're doggy is wonderful!
It took me like 30 mins w my pit bull he’s 3 months and I used a finger gun motion saying pop pop, great video.
great video. Someone finally showed the errors that take place getting to the finished exercise. How long are these sessions? I saw there was some editing did your dog get a break at those times?
OH, well done, thank you!!
To break down the steps like that is so helpful.
I just realized my mistake, and I can now identify why my dog 'over acts' lol
It's cute, but I didn't train the sphinx down to a roll, to build up muscle memory!
Can't wait to do that, now. :D
Beginning was so helpful
Wow could she sound more excited to be doing this? Jeez
exactly
Giggles Much 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much!! Hopefully, I'll be putting up a video response in a couple weeks showing my little guy playing dead!
Good way of training!
Saying bang early on is the best way . She over complicated this . My puppy learned this without a clicker
Thank you this worked !
Ok so I previously taught my dog to roll and every time I do this he just rolls
Yes, you can use a pen light in lieu of a clicker. Or, if the task involves the dog facing you, use a hand gesture, like thumbs up, OK, or shaka sign.
Thank you for learning
This actually works!! Love it
I guess some more words of praise would be most welcome by the dog.
amezing took my dog 5-10 min to learn, didnt do 100% as video describe but without you're help i would not have done it!
Thanks my 4 year old learned it real quick!
this was awesome, Thank you.
This is the first training video I’ve watched where the dog doesn’t already know the trick! I’m going to try this on my girl tomorrow!
Loved it.! Thanks for the video really amazing 😉🌹
thank you very much
I’m definitely giving to teach my dog this!
I have been trying to teach my 7 month old puppy this for 2 weeks! I just watched your video and I was doing it all wrong.. Thank you so much!!😁
Thank you!
Thank you this is very helpful my dog I taught him how to roll with this and then also I talk him play dead thank you
Whenever I try to teach my dog she always stands up when I lure the treat towards her back. I try to give it to her while she's laying down but once it gets too far she just stands up and then she gets frustrated because I'm not giving her the treat. She has never once shifted on her side for me to get any further than a down. Are there other methods? This is the only one I've seen and it just isn't working...
Really helpful thanks!
very helpful, I'm teaching my Bucky the Boston these tricks :)
You are welcome! We look forward to seeing it.
Lots of people comment that "play dead" is a morbid stick. Instead, call it "Naptime" and make the cue "Naptime!" plus visually look like you are putting your hands under your pillow and pretending to sleep instead.
Thanks sooo much ❤️
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO
Awesome stuff.
i have just training my dog and i was wondering what is the importance of the clicker thing and is it necessary to use or it has relatives ??
Its very helpful and dog learned it and now all day we play bang bang 😆👈👈👈👈
super pomocne!
i have a dumb boxer i wonder if this will work
Lol boxers are smart but dumb in disguise. I'm sure yours can learn it too 🤣
Many different types, ranging from just kibble, to higher value rewards like real meat. The higher value rewards are reserved for difficult behaviors or training amidst distractions.
I'm happy with handshake
how long does it really take from start to finish, for it to be good at it ??
Check out our other video on Training Your Dog 101 to learn about clicker training.
My dog is a therapy dog and this would be a cute trick
Very nice ! Remember to smile, even on the camera ;)
My puppy so smart that I did it was by myself one out no video she learned it really fast
thanks!
This is an amazing program. Trainings like these are very rare. galid dog training (Just search google) has all the tools and equipments necessary to turn even the most stubborn dog into a perfect adorable dog
i have a dog. and then i try this trick, but the hardest part is when my dog actually already know about relax position and then she did not want to react at my hand to fliping or lure position
Really nice
You don't need a clicker or any complicated stuff. Just put him in to the position and do it whilst doing the hand gesture you want him to lie down when he sees
I don’t know who that dog is but when she got it i was proud
Helpful!!
How long are these sessions? Also why the hand change?
while watching this, my cat Delilah, and the cat I'm babysitting, Sphinx, were rather upset that the video was saying their names. great video. I wish my APBT would drop into a Down like that.
this is roll over!
Suggestion if I may...I noticed the dog is affected by the smell of food in the lure hand so I would take the food with the reward hand to prevent the focus being away from the behaviour towards the focus being in the reward. Hope this makes sense 👍😉
Nice trick....like fading commands as it shows in the video, it would be good to use a fading technique with the treats. Don't want to have to give a treat every time at some point. I'm sure you have it covered in another video.
So cut😍😍😚😚
Excellent - I like to throw the treat to also teach the dog to catch it. But not all dogs like to catch
the dog automaticaly sits down xD
What exactly does the clicker do?
How long dose it take to do this
What type of treats do you feed her?
Woaw its works to my pomeranian 4mnth old, at first he just couldnt get it, and then i tried to put my hand near his head. Its worked, magic 😂
Every dog and trainer is different! It is hard to predict.
I would advise to train for short periods of time each day, vs overly long sessions though.
Worth watching :) Hope my dog will learn this -_-
My dog is trained to "stick em up " when I do finger guns. Don't want to confuse him, any other hand signal you can think of that I could use?
You could use a verbal cue instead like "bang bang" or "Nap time". For visual cues, palm up and turn to palm down (like you're turning a page)
Amazing video!! I taught my dog to play dead in 1 day!
my dog learned till the Fliping of hand and lay down .But when i add hand Signal to it (BANG) Then he Don't undrstnd,Everytime he stares at me only ,i used to move My hand .He don't understand Bang signal.Any suggestions!!
you are welcome!
