  • Though I knew these plants as Haworthia, it seems as if a number of Haworthia have been moved over to the genus "Haworthiopsis"...and some of the "tougher" varieties seem to have made it over to that genus. This one-Haworthiopsis limifolia 'Variegata' takes over the 165th spot of "365 Days of Plants".
In this video I'll cover where this is native to, how it grows, where it grows, and best conditions for lighting, watering, fertilizing and more.

I have one of these. They're very hardy. I only water it two-three times a month. It's now growing 2 baby offsets, and they're so cute!

Haworthias are great succulents for low light. I grow several species (including this one) in N/NE windows that are partially obstructed because I’m on a low floor. I’ve grown them for years among ferns. spikes + fronds are fun! They have flourished and multiplied. I water only monthly.

I only have one Haworthia, a Tessellata and it's a fun little plant, mine has three little babies growing around the edges, can't wait till they get a bit bigger than I can decide if I want to separate them. Thanks again Summer see you again tomorrow.

Thanks for a great video on Haworthia. Each apt I rent I make sure it has a south facing window. Essential for my plant friends! Like to know which plants can be pulled back from the windows. 👏🏻😁

Mine is flowering at the moment and the infloresence is over a metre tall. I've had to move it to a taller window.

    Hi Summer,
Loving your videos, I find them so educational, interesting and inspirational. Even though I live in Adelaide, South Australia🦘, I can play around with my own plants with your advice in mind.
I do have a question, how do we use chelates in our idoor gardens, are they necessary?? I would love to see a video from my most trusted advisor ☺️🙂
Thankyou Summer for all your advice and teachings.
    XOXOX

I had one of these and it was doing so well for about a yr and one morning I woke up and it had just deflated-yellowed- and fell leaf by leaf out of its pot. It happened so quickly and out of nowhere.

When it rots the leaves just fall apart. Mine is never dry it's always moist. Makes 4 offers about every 3 months

Mine looks 100% better then the one in thevid must be the fact I don't limit the water it gets .so many try to keep these plants small with little to no water and they use a soil that has no nutrients in the mixture .
