I've visited the Hinson's sites many, many times. I love what they stand for and their singing. Kenny has the greatest voice in Southern-Gospel Music. Thank God that I was smart enough to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. The Original Hinsons were here many times in Augusta GA. in the 70's 80's. I'm so thankful that I got to see them in person. I love you Kenny. God Bless All the Hinsons.
He obviously went on himself to influence a group of great singers too many to name. From great singers in gospel music like Mike Bowling to the greatest in country who have called him by name. People from Joe Diffee to Darryl Singletary and on and on I could quote names of people who have told me how they loved the man. He's the one responsible for me having the little career that I have and what little success I have had. But I was proud to call him my best friend and have been quoted from an interview I did about him several years ago where I called him "The greatest singer to ever hold a microphone!" I believe he always will be. It was a dark day when I was asked to be an honorary pallbearer at his funeral in July of 95' and perhaps one of the hardest things I've done to play a medley of his songs at that same service. I'll never quit thanking God for allowing me that opportunity to play for him at 15 and have him ask me to come work for him and later years to be asked to Produce the last album the family that I believe God ordained to give us some of the greatest music ever. He allowed me at 17 to play on Two Winning Hands and Call Me Gone. Quite an accomplishment at that age to play on two number one songs in one day. Thank God for Kenny Hinson!
call me gone! what a song, yes Kenny has been gone will soon be 25 years and his music is still going strong, i listen to the hinsons every day , they were and always will be the best, god bless all the hinsons family, y'all are the best. call me gone , were in 2020 now and the Lord could return at any time. and if that happens this year , just call me gone.
I swear but the man was decisively one of greatest voices in Nashville history. I'd stand him right next to Merle, George, Waylon, Randy and watch 'em all sweat. lol
You know it seems like the world is not worthy of people like this, you look down thru time, we never get to keep the ones like Kenny, I truly think the world is not worthy of people like him. What an amazing singer and man of God,The best to ever hold a mic,I can't wait until we get to heaven, I can just see the Lord gathering everyone up for a big concert featuring the Hinsons,Thank God for Kenny Hinson, and all the Hinson family God bless you Dirk, you were a great part of the Hinson's as well
Oh, AMEN, gfitzz28!! I could sit and listen to Kenny sing 24/7. He puts sooo much into what he's singing. I've been a devoted fan of the Hinsons for as long as I can remember. May God continue to bless them, wherever they are.
Hello! Thank you for posting this video. I've been a Hinson fan since 1975. Kenny Hinson is so special. I believe God took him so early in life because He wanted him in Heaven. God Bless ALL The Hinsons. Gwen Weaver
They are great on video, but were absolutely incredible in person. I personally think Kenny Hinson, Marty Robbins and Elvis were 3 of the best singers in modern history. Sadly, all three are gone now.

This is my favorite song by them
Call me a dreamer
Call I call it mine
Heaven, but I don't care
And call me crazy
Cause I'm homesick for it
Yet I have never been there
Call me a stranger
Cause that's all I am, I know I don't belong
Call me anything but when He calls me
Call me gone
(chorus)
Call me gone, I'll be leavin
Call me gone, you'll be greavin
If you're left here without Jesus to call on
Call me gone, no more heartache
Call me gone, and all that it takes
As for me to hear Him call me then call me gone
(This verse is to be spoken)
You know I've been called an awful lot of things in my lifetime
And to be honest smart wasn't always one of them
But thank God I was smart enough one day to call Jesus Christ the Lord of my life
And it was then I called it quits to a whole lot of sinnin
But it's because of that commitment that a lot of people laugh at me and call me foolish
Aw.. but let em go ahead and laugh...
That don't bother me at all, cause any fool can see,
but the shape she's in that this ole worlds gonna fall,
But just as long as I know Jesus, I've got nothing to fear
And when the role is called up yonder,
Don't you call on me cause I ain't gonna be here!
(repeat chorus)
