Damn dude I am literally making a cover of this right now, and I did a 3 6 2 5 turnaround and thought I was being nifty using jazz stuff, but they beat me to it on the demo version? Lol. Also, these lyrics really take away the levity of the album version. Both songs are about the same horrible thing, but this one carries some serious weight.
[Verse 1] He was sick of his clock stopping It winds him up, that girl still Snoring next to him He was sick of his excuses To not take off her dress when Bleeding in the bathroom The watch smashed, and he got restless He sighs in broken English [Chorus] With no alarms and no surprises No alarms and no surprises No alarms and no surprises [Verse 2] He was, he was He was your final fit Your final bellyache [Chorus] With no alarms and no surprises No alarms and no surprises No alarms and no surprises, please
the way he said no alarms and no surprises at 2:00 made me break down in tears
me too, it's insane how such a small detail could change my perspective on a whole song
@@starling2154 yeah i genuinely started fucking sobbing
Love this version whole different vibe to the studio version. Needs to be added to the playlist though, still only got 9 tracks in there!
This version must be from the very beginning of the song evolution...
the final chorus section caught me wildly off guard hahahahah. I really like the chord progression they used there
there it is

Better than the OK Computer version
I agree, beautiful versions, but this one is somehow more tragic
are the original lyrics anywhere?
[Verse 1]
He was sick of his clock stopping
It winds him up, that girl still
Snoring next to him
He was sick of his excuses
To not take off her dress when
Bleeding in the bathroom
The watch smashed, and he got restless
He sighs in broken English
[Chorus]
With no alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
[Verse 2]
He was, he was
He was your final fit
Your final bellyache
[Chorus]
With no alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises, please
@@MixyTape Thank you so much!
@@MixyTape"He sighs in broken English" I think he says "He started his broken sentence" instead
@@redblue8983I think I hear "He sighs with broken English."
@@redblue8983 It's "He started using broken English".

@@bellsofbull6345 oh fr? Thought it was a cover, doesn't sound like him at first
@@Breeze1 it wouldn't be a cover considering this was done about a year before OK Computer was released
