Two curiosities: 1) It was funny to see you say that this scene reminded you of summer but actually, when this scene was filmed, it was one of the coldest days of the year and the actors had a hard time filming it. 2) When the scene with the floaters and Vanessa in the center was filmed, the actress was actually not there. It was filmed separately because with the waves that the dancers made, her float was not in the center. Any way... Thanks for your reaction. I really like your content ;) keep up the good work!
Rewatching this movie after seeing Encanto, the structure of 96,000 really reminds me of We Don't Talk about Bruno. Singing parts from many characters, eventually laid atop each other at the end of the song
Funny thing about this scene. They couldn't close this pool during the normal season it's open since it's a publicly owned pool. They had to film for two days before the normal season opened and it was super cold while filming. The actors and dancers had to have a warming station set up so they could keep their temperatures up in between takes.
In the Heights is epic. I was lucky enough to see it on Broadway with Lin-Manuel as Usnavi.
