the really awesome part is generations from now the great great grandkids will have this to check out. Leaving your name on the landscape like this is something so few will ever have the opportunity to do.
    Great work, Chris.

Tidy work as usual Chris I think the landowner will have many good hours fishing these two ponds ! Big thanks to Volvo for letting you use the beast . Was really a game changer when you see the amount of material you moved. 👏👏👏

This project has been amazing. The ease you have working heavy equipment is mesmerizing. Bam, this video was done and 25 min passed. I still think you need signs that say "Dirt Sculpture by Chris Guins". As a property owner, I would be ecstatic to display that. 😁 Fun set of videos that I am grateful you shared with us. Thanks so very much.

Beautiful ponds - massive project accomplished. Picturesque countryside will be enhanced by these. Volvo 550 track cleanup must have been 'fun' however Volvo have been the star in this build showcased by the skill of LetsDig18. Loved it.

Chris the videos of the two pond builds were amazing to watch. Just being able to see the amount of clay and dirt that the VolvoE550E could physically move was amazing to watch. Knowing from your other jobs that it would of taken on the average of 12 scoops from the E220 to fill the dump truck each time was amazing to see it filled with just Three scoops from the E550E. What a great difference in the amount of time that it would of taken otherwise. Again I would of otherwise never of know just the amount of work that could be accomplished with the Volvo E550 Excavator truly a work horse. I would be amazed to hear what the property owner thought of the work that was done in just two and a half weeks. Again thank you for showing your-subscribers what the E550E is capable of doing.

This is awesome...I miss playing in the dirt! For a "Food Forest" that keeps water from overtaking the entire property:
Persimmons and Paw Paw Trees, Elderberry Bushes along roadsides (keep them from flooding), natural streams, the back of the pond dam. They form colonies from root sprouts and can reach a height of 8 feet or more and love water overflow (deep roots). AND they're yummy...ask friends for healthy cuttings, if they have any.
American Ginseng grown back away from the pond under cover of some of the trees, or in a garden plot between the house and the barn in a shady location.Vio from any one plant at a time, please. You don't want to kill them). In White Distilled Vinegar Infued w/ Violet Flowers. Syrups...they tend to be sweet. Violet Teas, Tinctures and Poultices, Homemade Candies. These were my Grandmothers' favorite flowers next to the American Beauty Rose. They were both Tsalagi and Powhatan, so...a lot of homemade remedies that worked.
You have yourself a wonderful project that will last you a lifetime...don't forget to bury the fallen trees to broken down to use to build or as firewood. You can build up the organic matter in the soil that way and make your own hillocks. It's how Mound builders lived. They would weave together the branches of the trees thickly, pile leaves pine and oak and others on top of that, then mud, and then drag in rotten logs and stack them up IN the mound and plant maize, and other edibles on the mound in order to dam water near where they grew, but route it around where they and their animals were, if they wanted a compound where they could gather over time rather than just roaming and hunting and gathering. WITHIN the compound's walls, they would build the mounds they ACTUALLY lived in and pen in their animals.
We have lost an average of 5 FEET of topsoil in North America, and burying fallen rotting trees, trees burned beyond usage in wildfires, mulched leaves and other compost is the only way to build back soil with living biomatter. And taken our chickens, pigs, cows, horses and other farm animals off of store bought feed, is another form of relief, b/c 70% of the grains are feeding them, and they are NOT meant to eat them in the first place. We always fed them our vegetable scraps (from restaurants and our family's waste). They were healthy and didn't have issues they have now Many of the animals now have a form of diabetes, whose to say that's not what is causing diabetes epidemic in humans. They say forest forage your swine, let your chickens, turkeys, ducks roam in rolling coops or in forestland on the farm to fertilize it in managed areas you "police", grass feed your cows and horses as much as possible....we'd all be healthier. Buy healthy trout, salmon, pike, and other fish and manage them in your pond, and make extra money selling them to be released when they spawn to Forestry and River Management Programs...it's really lucrative. Hope you have a field day with this one!
    Have fun with it!

Great pond action,...you are going to enjoy them,..when you take some time off!
The videos don't often show the size of the ponds or the machinery,...but every now and then something gives away the size,...with you standing against the bucket is one of those glimpses,...and three scoops for a truck load, yikes!. That new machine is a brute! Once it gets to a job site its gonna sling some dirt in a hurry!

That bucket is nearly as big as my Mother in laws mouth.
    Great Artistry Chris & Crew.
Look forward to the next project.
    Onwards and upwards.
