Railfanning La Fox and Elgin National St Metra Stations w/ SD70MACHs and more 06/22/24

Decided to go back to the La Fox Metra Station on the UP West line (also UP Geneva sub for freight traffic) but also go to Elgin, IL on the Milwaukee West line to hopefully get the SD70MACHs. The freight action was decent at first with a Westbound vehicle train led by a solo NS C44-9W and a Eastbound mixed manifest led by a SD70ACe and a small cut of John Deere tractors. I also got a F59PHI leading on the Metra side. At the Elgin National St Metra, I was able to get two SD70MACHs including the RTA heritage unit. The SD70MACHs were rebuilt from former TFM/KCS SD70MACs and are the first six axle engines used by Metra since the F40Cs. I then went back to La Fox for some more action before heading home.
