there is a strategy for horace called "the iron brainlet" where you build him with scratch/celestite and go directly to your quest. you quest for 2 fight and 2 body and you just become a powerhouse capable of going anywhere and typically you are able to go for a kingslayer. by doing these quests, youre also able to risk it for better rewards and have a higher chance.
ive won with this build far too many times, its stupid how well it works.

Another neat overview and like last time, I mentioned Bandit clan is one of my other favorite factions the game has to offer. My favourite being Horace.
    My preferred builds:
Twiss (Before Scout buff where she used to start with 2/5/5/4): Favour/Amethyst. I used to like to play selectively between spirit stones or Prestige can gain relatively easy control of the board and unless you get many rot cards, she felt limited to those two win conditions only.
(After scout buff and turned into current stats 3/4/5/4): Scratch/Black Opal. This will allow Twiss to essentially open doors to win with almost any condition and still have a fighting chance while making bigger plays at night time. With Scout being able to destroy her prime defense being rather easy to come by and other cases pierce, I feel trying to hide in towns at certain times while questing to increase her fighting/health/and likely wit prowess to benefit her in the longrun. Finding the Helm of Heroes via quest or black market would be a must have for her. My experience with heroes like the rabbit clan had me learn that you can get away with shoring up fight on squishy characters and with twiss depending on your item/quest pool, you can lean towards almost any preferred strategy over the course of the game while also trying to keep yourself alive.
Sylas: Intimidate/Serenbite, I feel that prioritizing his ability should be an afterthought because at the start of any game you want to at least give yourself safe passage for first couple quests rather than start trouble early. (unless you're forced to) Intimidate I believe works well on Sylas to discourage creatures and players to fight him directly unless you're confident to killing that creature yourself or often stop full AP at a tile adjacent to creatures/players. You generally want to ensure getting 3 good equip items for him asap (that can be said for majority of characters around the start of the game) before proceeding drawing from any deck you wish. Doing at least 1 wit quest or two during the game will help shore up his low wit as trade-off while still also focusing on his fighting prowess. Could look like 6/6/5/3 by the end or 7/5/5/3 depending on opposition. Whichever win condition he'd run into even prestige (shored by serenbite) still apply.
Horace (My favourite): Resist/Celestite. Ill say it right now, Horace > Magna if i had to choose between them. Even though you can set up both of them relatively the same way. Id say magna may be a little better with the Think amulet but I'd still say resist works for her too because having something to shore up defense and to bring into impending perils is also a must to consider. In Horace's case applies more so with resist because if he does wind up wanted, sharpshooter perils would be the bane of his existence and they require 2 shields or few other noteworthy perils. His ability makes him the most mobile and even grants easy castle access in crunch time. Just be weary of spell Perils. A solid stat spread of 7/7/4/2 or trade one of the two stats for a 5th wit depending on quest rewards.
Scarlet: Discipline (For Sun Advantage) or Scratch (Or other good Amulets)/Pink Topaz: Scarlet is the most interesting out of the Bandits, however depending on game flow, she can either be really good or really bad since she is a little reliant on the settlement game and as i've mentioned with Elyssia in previous video, she is very RNG dependent via map layout quest setup or item makeup. However I did see players including myself run Corruption well with her because she would likely be fighting banes that are programmed to attack towns. (Fighting Banes at night is not recommended unless you are trying to get corrupted) So either she gets good prestige, rot or quests that take her straight to the king while doing some board control on the side if you kept towns and that makes her a solid character to play. I don't mention spirit victories often except for maybe Sana because again its all based on RNG that Scarlet is more leaned towards.
I am looking forward to see how you think of the newest faction the dragon clan as I'm still experimenting around with them but I did get all their rings. Only trinket I am missing is the Decay amulet and I kind of wish there was builds that could be used from either Harmonize or Decay because they are hard to get but if they were available Pre-2.0 launch i'd have them both by now and winning rot victories is hard to come by, but dragon clan and the ruin amulet makes it relatively easy to do for at least one of them.

Great video. I like to build Sylas with Serindibite and Soak because Sylas needs the extra body to stay alive. Soak makes it that much harder to snipe him with Spells and trickery cards.

Yes!~ I was wondering when you would post for the Bandit Clan. Aside from the Wolf Clan, the Bandit clan has to be probably my second favorite Clan. I really love each Hero's unique design and it was interesting to get a Clan that wasn't made up of all the same species/order of animal. I would love to see more Clans released like this in the future hopefully. The last Clan I need to unlock for PC is the Dragon Clan (might do that later this week on pay day) and those look rather interesting to play with.
Out of the Bandits, I think Scarlet is probably my favorite by design...though, my favorite animals are wolves/foxes so, that's a given. Her ability can come in handy with scooping up some useful Followers but it only really works if there are terrorized settlements, so her ability is more of a situational one. Twiss is probably one of the more annoying Heroes to go against with her "always evading" ability when being attacked, but after playing as her a few times, she sorta grew on me.
When played right, Horace can become a straight up tank of a Hero when trained up in Body and Fight. He can dish out a lot of damage as well as take a beating in return. I've seen one person (may have been an AI) get Horace up to 9 Body through quests and equipment and he was pretty unstoppable for the late game. The only way I managed to beat him was get a bounty on him so he was weakened from fighting off the guards or hit him with spell/trap cards.

That 9 body Horace was only 1 away from what I think is the max 10 body. You'll need a 6 body character, running soak for +1, take 2 body quests, and get the apothecary side event for the final +1. Most I've seen is 8 I think, but would probably just gg against something like that. Imagine 10 body Brun...

@@zakolache4490 My god, 10 Body Brun would be an absolute unit of a tank.

Twiss is probably my favorite character design-wise, I do like Squirrels and she is cute! And she is my favorite bandit clan hero of course.
I do have her with Scrath + Celestite since I do like give her more fight and since I plan to King Slayer as my default win as 99% of the time (I only go for the other types depeding on the flow of the match and/or RNG), so having that 4 fight is nice and I do tend to go for 2 Fight, 1 Wits and 1 Body if I can for her.
Another thing that I like to do with Twiss is give her Lionheart Breasthplate if possible because evasion and this treasure combined is like broken XD (Assuming the enemy doesn't have scout/pierce) And I do lost the card steal but I don't feel is much a big deal compared. Tbh I would have prefer if the Rat ring was Ruby instead since that would be very nice for my fighter Twiss.
Also, with Scarlet, if another player has the Ruin amulet, she is pretty much golden most of the time XD I had a run against a dragon with Ruin where I got like 4 followers (Not all from her ability) and was just fun!
And I do run Scarlet Scrath + Celestite, Horace Think + Celestite and Silas Think + Serendibite
