You know a game is old when its also available on the TRS-80!
You can exit the room through the one open door at the edge of the screen. Every 20,000 points the warp door appears and you can enter the bonus round.
Might give this another try and see if the challenge increases once I exit a level properly! I would have missed this back in the day too, rarely got a.. ehm, manual with my games! 😄
Never played this one but I do remember the "food throwing" arcade games. My favorite was the Three Stooges pie throwing arcade game. A 1985 ST game? Wow, talk about an early game for the ST! 😀
Ah so there's a Three Stooges arcade game? Had no idea, I know there is a Cinemaware game about them, thought that was the only one. And of course, if the stooges are involved, there must to be a plentiful supply of pies in the game! 😄
I LOL’d at numerous places 😂 not least your realisation that you were still on level 1 😂 there’s an exit on the edge of each level to the next one. Very entertaining review of a very fun and funny game
Yeah, I stopped reading the manual when it mentioned a door would open to exit the level. I thought it was referring to the bonus round door! DOH! 😄
Nice little game for 1985
It is surprisingly fun and had I understood how the exits worked I am guessing the challenge might have increased too! 😄
Somehow played this a lot as a kid alongside major motion. So good for children maybe.
Major Motion was so fun.
Yeah, Major Motion was nice and simple fun. Also found it enjoyable, even if I felt that the graphics didn't represent the ST particularly well! 😄
Thanks for review ^^. Not bowling ball pins, Juggling clubs (possibly the clowns where actually using bowling pins as juggling clubs xD. Though I've seen clubs with those colours at the circus in several old movies). Looks fun, early games focusing on gameplay vs trying to look good often so much better for it!
Ok, but using bowling pins makes them seem more mental! 😄 Yeah, often felt like the artist got more time to work than the coders in the later titles.
@@gearsofgames xD true, imagining them as bowling pins makes it more "Steven Kings IT" (fighting evil clowns) vs Texas Chainsaw (murdering innocent entertainers in their big top with lethal pies). hehe.
I have soft spot for the earlier ST games, this one looks primitive but fun. I didn't know Major Motion was one of the early games either, but my sister and I loved that game. I don't know, just seems to be something solid about those early games.
Yeah, seems like they actually play-tested the early games and made sure they were fun to play. Also really liked being able to use a mouse to control Major Motion. Felt awesome, coming from a Speccy!
I was waiting for you to realize you could go to level 2, dammit
Watch your blood pressure there buddy 😄, I thought the door referenced in the manual was the one that led to the bonus rounds. The game was clearly a bit more involved than that though 😂
ROBOTRON 2084 AT CIRCUS 🤡😹👍🕹️!
That sums it up pretty well Arttu! 😄
