To be fair, this seems plausible(on paper at least)... i mean because there's 2 layers of stone walls and spike traps, plus it's actually 4 towers before the start of his demise... and you'd think the other ballista would help... All in all, quill did a good job despite this being his third long run(but first time to reach day 70+)
From what i've seen you really need the big Mechwarrior type machines and alot more soldiers to make it work, mind you i've never actually played the game i base this on other TH-cam content... what im trying to say here is, he should have focused more on unit production and less on tesla towers
Honestly, a single shock tower can fend off the generic zombies alone. The balistas can take out the fat guys. I've usually had around 8 snipers, 12 soldiers and 16 rangers. I died on day 91 because that's when I didn't have enough units to spread around the whole base.
He was pretty close to holding it off. If he'd had one more executor he would have made it. That said, he was miles away from where he'd need to be to have any chance at beating the final wave.
Your major mistake was building those Towers and tying down that much of your army into uselessly standing there. The space for those Towers would have been better used for more Ballistas/Executors or Shocking Towers. Your army should have all have been grouped and been clearing areas for expansion of your defenses and economy. But what got me was that at the end you let your army get surrounded and destroyed instead of pulling them behind the last set of walls alongside the Ballista. It might have worked, it might not have, but watching them get uselessly surrounded and swarmed under was a bit painful. I would like to see you try this again, Quill. I'd like to see you get past the Final Wave for this first map at least.
Dancorps13 I'd actually say the second map is easier than the first, and in a way the 3rd and 4th are too. One of the critical things you need is a good market/bank block (and then a second and maybe a third) and the later maps are much more open so you can build those housing blocks easier. Defense is a little harder because you don't have the obvious choke points but in a lot of ways a long wall is better because the zombies spread out along the wall meaning one individual wall chunk has to hold off less zombies in the end. Plus more towers can help kill.
Another big error was placing those tents outside defended walls. That was a fair amount of time and resources wasted on getting things set up again and then once again. Mine that gold and take down more zombie buildings for resources. Note that hordes passing through will pull along some of the zombies in their path so always good to cull zombies on the map. By day 70 the first flamethrower dudes should join the army because the weaker units can't handle things by themselves late in the game. They are tough and deal enormous amounts of damage to all units (including your own units). Operate them in pairs in front of your troops or place them between double gate houses to ensure they are only pointed at zombies. Also, be more careful with your units when outside walls. Be ready to mirco manage higher end units, you're going to curse every loss.
i watched this, and got the game myself on steam. played two matches allready, and i now i know quill is going to lose in a few days xD the game is so hard, but so fun!!. hehe
Very fun to watch this let's play. I'm pretty sad it's over... But now I'm debating on whether or not I want to buy the game. It looks fun but it seems like one that's more fun to watch.
Such an unnecessary loss. Why the hell didn't you bring your army down south sooner? Also, why did your army in the south consist of about 10 soldiers? NotLikeThis
This went the way of the Roman Empire, you expanded too far with too small a military to protect it all. Also, your first line of defense shouldn't be your last line of defense, a bit more thought into wall building and turret placement and that last wave wouldn't have broken you as badly as it did.
Tents are more resource efficient, but housing is more space efficient. But....if you intent to upgrade to stone houses, it's more efficient to build straight stone houses and not upgrade.
Plssss play more They are Billions!! 🙏 🙏
Oh Quil, I remember when I was confident at my defenses . Then that last wave came and everything changed
Never forget......They are billions.
I was watching this live. It was devastating! On to the next, Quill!
I really hope he does a full letsplay series of this. Love this game.
Day 72 and Quill expects to defend with 3 towers and 15 soldiers ... RiP :D

Don't you need Titans by day 50 to have a shot at winning?
please go on with this game

How much harder are the other maps compare to the first one?
Towers are a trap.

I have a feeling he wanted to end the stream there. Even if he'd survive he'd be pretty bonered considering the losses
I would love a new series very fun to watch. Know you could lose on any wave made this series more entertaining to watch.
More they are billions!
This was great Quill! Please do another.
this would be a great youtube exclusive series
This has been really fun, I might pick this game up
Great Lets Play! Just got the game, can't make it past day 11 so well played man! great skills!
Like this series Quill, thanks for it
Good show. Hope to see more of this.

would love to see more of this
Loved watching this! Would love to see more on the channel! :)
You needed 2 to 3 times as many troops as you had and way more turret coverage
Please do more They Are Billions, I've tried watching other people play but I don't find them as entertaining as you.
Try kibitz
You made a pretty good job !
It could have been greater with a more lucky place for your shocking tower !
I want more !
Heads up my current run isn't going any better :D at least you have a big community that helps you up after each loss^^
Good run! You have to go for 100.
dear quill the final wave is gonna shock you :P
Good video Looking forward to more
Great series! Are you continuing more or continuing on to another game?
Amazing you made it that far cosidering that your day 73 eco is more like a day 4 eco.
I don't usually watch youtube honestly except to check out games. But this series sucked me in pretty hard lol. Do some more We are Billions please!
"Oh no, they're coming from the south!" *continues to increase northern defenses, wasting time and resources.*
Quill thinks he'll be able to finish next time...
... what he doesn't realize is that the last wave is infinite zombies from day 95 to 100
Quill, that was a great session. You did well with a poor map and hung on just barely through several hordes. Nice work.
So this world has teslas wireless power?
Cuz steam punk.
Such an unnecessary loss. Why the hell didn't you bring your army down south sooner? Also, why did your army in the south consist of about 10 soldiers? NotLikeThis
Pls play dis again!!!!!!!
Now thats a proper zombie hord. Jeez!
The last one is 4 times that plus all the zombies still left on the map
Bought the game after watching these.
Refunded after 5 minutes.
Bare minimum for hotkeys, not rebindable.
he just kind of gave up didn't he? Leave half his units in towers on the other size of the map.
That's what it looked like.
He knew he was overtime for Solo gameplay
Pretty sad ending for the series
NNOOOO QUILLL!!!!!!!!!
More please

I'm still not past the first level/map.
want more :)
If you wanted to quit, you should've just said, why the charade?
Next ! :P
ANOTHER
Hey guys ive recently started posting a lets play for this game and I just wanted to ask if its as impossible for anyone else as it is for me?
He WAYYYYY over expanded for really no reason. He had plenty of space he just never upgraded his buildings.
Tents are more resource efficient, but housing is more space efficient. But....if you intent to upgrade to stone houses, it's more efficient to build straight stone houses and not upgrade.
Return to aven??
That was hard to watch
How come that you don't upload Dota2?
F
With v 0.4.7 it will be easier
what do you mean 40th try? lol
fortieth
yeah but why fortieth? he obviously showed his "Scores" with 5 runs and he said 3 of them are the ones that count/are long enough
Sorry , at first I did not realize the date of the stream
what is dota
this has to be the love where he finally loses. god what a waste of time watching has been.
glad to see him lose utterly
no offense but your micro and macro management are very terrible
R u makeing season 2
