52 blocks is original for fighting against a dude with a razor,or blade, all the cuts wouls get caught in your jackets or clothes and peotect your arteries
🤣 No it isn't
Absolutely not wtf
@@onceagain6184 in usa it is, NYC started it ,if you get cut your arteries won't get hit or wrist tendons,I'm not slow in know it's a martial arts deal, but every mf I knew who knew about it was not ina gui doing stretches like van dahm in blood sport
@@smelly1060 that's what's Americans used it for on east coast,I know its a martial arts thing, boxing also started as a game before gladiators killed each other with ball bearing knuckle wraps, did you know that about boxing ? absolutely not
Bro I'm not an idiot lol, how long you spent in Shaolin, have you mastered drunken monkey yet
I learned 52 blocks growing up in Brooklyn.. someone got hands put on them lol
Who taught u?
We from Queens my pops and the street taught me. Thought it was just how we fought in Ny until i seen videos of it later in life
First time I saw 52 blocks was in the county jail for some guys who were coming back to court from prison that was 30 years ago I wish I had it been a little more, and discipline and listen to the man he wanted to teach me
And if you think 52 blocks showed you how to fight.. it just shows how incompetence begets incompetence.
52=7 (god body)

No grappling to the rookies
That's new york ish you'll don't know anything about 52 blocks that's nyc ish
Facts other States got different styles like “Jailhouse Rock” but 52 Blocks is all NYC
It’s in Atlanta too😭😭😭 niggas been doing. That shit
@@smurf_n_wesson9064 no....jailhouse rock came before 52 ands its called jhr in new york and new jersey. I learned that jhr came before 52 but it has the fundamentals. The next generation took jhr and took it to another level and then ppl started calling it 52 blocks. JHR is boxing based. 52 was preferred bcuz it used angles not normally used in boxing.
@@MasterChee7 No. They aren’t the same styles, and it’s called 52 Blocks in NY and NJ. I’m from Brooklyn. 52 origins didn’t have shit to do with jhr, only thing in common is both mastered in Jail.
@@smurf_n_wesson9064 they not the same but apart of the lineage. first stato then jhr then 52. jhr is basic.... dudes got creative, more deceptive.... and 52 came about. thats y some ppl called 52 blocks freestyle. it has the fundamentals of jhr but the fighters and 5pcters took it too another level.

So where did he mention 52? That's not Texas style. They got they own shuffle just like GA "Alto" shuffle. Only ppl who been down the road knows every Prison has its style
Them styles ain't got a chance vs east coast. Philly, ny. Especially 80s. In the 80s. Atl Texas etc was completely clueless to street sh. Especially style wise. The south is the same. The east jus was ahead. So imagine the east being the top. But the south has the same ppl from the same DNA cloth who just caught on later. Everybody the same. Its jus the fami,y is down south. Everybody was down south. The small amount of east coast dudes invented it. But let's not forget we all the same and we all come from the DNA of the south where our fam is
@@bbkingme8831We, Black folks Allways find ways to separate ourselves. Bro. day & nite are 1.
@@bbkingme8831 Y'all are corny as fuck with that shit. That's why y'all are dominated with Chicago culture now. Your most legendary street icons are from the South. You muthafuckas swear you invented everything and did it the best. Fuck outta here...son
I love when people say they good with their hands. There are 8 striking points on the human body. 9 if you count the head butt.
Most of y'all can't fight
You right it is a new York style, but Floyd is better at it fighting is character as well.
New York Shit y’all
Damn he not tired of talking about the penitentiary yet???
Ninjas glorify the pen
Lol BJ played Smoker Percy face to face he said yo mentality was like that cuz young niggas put u on yo OGs younger than u how that works
u aint lying
Not really BJ still Tryna be a OG and Percy just Tryna preach a good message
I seen one of those 52 block dudes sparring a cat and he knocked a dude out with 2 fingers to the chin . Those old 52 block videos used to be str8 bomedy . I grew up watching that sht . 😂
Yeah u can’t fight
Reading these comments I can tell the majority of you got your information about 52blocks/Jailhouse from social media. 😂😂 I was exposed to Jailhouse/52 back in the 70’s. The majority of you youngsters think TH-cam invented this particular style of fighting. Shoutout to Bolo, Big Wise, Glassman, Hommo aka Homicide, Tweety Love, who were all masters of the 52blocks
I forgot my mentor Mailman who taught me 52 by playing this game called 52 pickup. I’m not going into detail about the game but the old school gang Im for sure know about it.
i peeped his 52 years ago
How was it? Specifically asking about his style of 52. Was it more offensive than defensive, was he foundational with defense, or does he just know a few blocks?
@@nelsonglinton its on utube. not hard to find
If it aint no ground-game then it aint a fight.
Its a boxing match.
Ground game ain’t no fight it’s a wrestling match.

@@cantstop-wontstop2138you are assuming its always one person, try wrestling with one person and his a a couple of friends with him. You will get your teeth kicked out
52 blocks is all over the United States prisons he just had different names of some spots and may not be the complete 52 blocks but the full 52 blocks is all over and not just New York
52 blocks seems gimmicky to me.
It's not
It's a gimmick until someone beats yo ass with 52 Blocks. Hence, that's like saying Bruce Lee was not legit bcuz he was an actor but not a combat fighter
It’s not. It’s watered down today though because not enough people truly know it.
As a kid, I’ve seen 52 work against a golden glove champ.
@@dnyce8224you’re a real one💯
U got to let him cause the m clowns couldn't fight!
