I like Mike as a coach. He's definitely an above average coach, but if he were a great coach he would have gotten rid of Matt Canada a lot sooner than he did. We haven't won a playoff game in 7 years. Winning in the playoffs and making it to the playoffs are two very different things. That separates the men from the boys, and we have been boys for a long time now. I think him and Omar are making some smart decisions this year and I hope it translates onto the field.

Russ is not only consistent, he has the best deep ball in the NFL ! Only the respect for the deep ball enables success in the run game... Fields has not the deep ball accuracy of Russ and can't push opponent defenses back like Russ can. Fields throws interceptions, fumbles the ball while running, gets hurt ... The Steelers should trade Fields after preseason cause Plumlee will be the better backup in any aspect.

Okay dude... first off, you're wrong about this so-called "upgrade" at QB! It was Mason Rudolph who gave Coach T another winning season after Trubinski failed, again! With what Mason did int eh last three games, getting us into the playoffs, the Steelers shit on him, again! Mason should have been signed and named QB1. Pickett was leaving no matter what. Then we brought in Allen from Buffalo, no, not Josh. And we had a 3rd stringer brought on late last season. But to add insult to an injured soul, we bring in Wilson and Fields, solidifying not only Picketts exit, but Mason's too! I'm a die-hard Steelers fan, but also it's harshest critic. These two QB had better step it up and perform to a hungry, confused City, who loves their Pittsburgh Steelers!

IMO, for this defense to play at a championship level everything starts with the DL. Cam is thirty-five and coming off of an injury plagued season. Larry Ogunjobi had a pedestrian 2023 season. He needs to step up and ball out in 2024. The only real bright spot is DT, Keeanu Benton entering his second year. The success or failure of the Steelers’ defense begins and ends with their DL.
I hear you, but the defense starts with the offense not having 3 n outs like they did last year. The defense was on the field most of the time at Wich obviously opens up opportunities for injuries. Our defense is great, we just need our offense to jell and keep them as fresh as possible

They made it to the playoffs because Burrow and Watson went down. Russ is washed, Fields is mid, their best selling point is that their QBs are extremely cheap, so they can load up talent elsewhere. They aren't doing anything unless the other three teams in their division are crippled.

Fields isn't mid. This season when the Bears acquired Sweat & a new DC the HC Matt Eberflus was too busy acclimating them to the team to meddle as much as he normally does in the offense & Getsy got 5 games to prove his worth. They nearly swept the supposedly superior Lions & _EVERY_ game Getsy used those plays was better than every game Eberflus wouldn't allow him to. So we have 8 games of Fields being fully effective on the lowly Bears.
That's more than Russ & Pickett together have had over the past 2 years. Fields went from leading a bottom 8th offense to a top 15th in '23, The #1 offense for 3 weeks straight in '22 without an o-line or receiving corps. That's something Josh Allen, Mahomes or Tua with Tyreek Hill & Burrow's élite WR trio haven't accomplished yet.
So much for mid. Most people can't tell the difference between play-calling & QB talent. We have 8 games called one way, 22 called another (Fields was injured for 4) & *_ALL_*_ eight_ of the games called well are *_ALL_*_ better than_ the other 22?

Yes, the steelers had a great draft, but they just realized that Both Fields and Wilson are toxic, uncoachable, and they have learning dissabilities that prevent them from running an nfl offense or reading defences. So they have to cut both fields and Wilson and they need to trade for Kurt Cousins, who the Falcons dont need, and who will make the steelers great!!

In their worst season in 18 years they won ten games and made the playoffs. That is excellence. Every team, even the Steelers goes through rough patches. Lucky for us, the Steelers are one of the most well run organizations in all of sports. For the last 5 decades they have always returned to the top. It won't be any different this time. Have a little faith, they've earned that. And, any time you get to thinking that you know better than the Steelers, just look in the mirror, point at the dummy looking back at you, and say "hey dumba55, you never have, and never will know better than the Steelers."
The Steelers will return to glory, but the spoiled, know-nothing "fans" who have been capping on the team while they recover from losing Shazier, Bell, Brown, Decastro, Pouncy, and their HOF QB, will wear their shame forever. Football is a team game, our o-line was probably tied for worst last year and going from 2 years ago to now almost every position is a different starter, I don’t see us winning realistically this year but with how this team is working out we take what is good and build on that while getting rid of the bad which is something the Steelers are really good at plus while other teams like the chargers,bills,bengals, and chiefs all get worse one way or another they all lost something huge this year while only the Steelers got better at every position and didn’t lose anything major
Edit also the niners will get worse cause they gotta pay Brock purdy and Brandon aiyuk after this season aka they gotta lose a weapon somewhere
The defense has to beat the QB. The offensive unit just needs to control the ball eat up clock and score more touchdowns. I think they can.

Everyone has dismissed Fields who this year will have what Mahommes, Allen, Burrow and Herbert have had: good coaching, some defense (so you don't have to score 35-40 points to have a chance of winning), a decent to excellent O-line and some weapons. He never had that in Chicago and when they put the pieces together, sent him packing. Fields will do well. A reminder: the last month of the season the Bears led the league in scoring. And it wasn't from the ground game or special teams of pick sixes and scope 'n' scores.
