    2K usd a month and you live large. If you're a drunk it may be the best town on earth - and oddly enough if you're into being healthy the city can support you too. Very strange awesome place that Pattaya. Thanks for the video...

      Yes, I was running along the beach every morning. Really great place to be healthy. Nearby Jomtien is even better in my opinion.

    Great to hear Eric's story. Similarly, I grew up in Saskatchewan and currently live in Alberta. I fell in love with southeast Asia and hope to retire there as well.

    Landing in Bangkok on Nov 8th!… It’s been way too long!… Left there for the US, right as the lock down/bar closures were really kicking in, when Covid was hitting.

    I just met Eric last night I could see the Canadian flag waving from Beach Rd. He's a great guy he sat with me talking for the whole time I was there. I'm a Canadian about his age so we got along well. Where he's from and worked in Canada it's as cold as hell.. if hell was cold.. .

    Fellow Canuck here...I left BC Canada in "04" and never went back except for brief family visits.I never want to have to shovel snow again and freeze my ass off.I live in South Pattaya and agree that Jomtien Beach has a better feeling about it.Isn't there a song called "Lookin for love in all the wrong places"

    There is a special rule under the US-Thai Amity Treaty that can allow an American to own 100% of a Thai company as I understand it, but there is still a requirement that a certain number of Thais must be employed for each work permitted foreigner hired by the company.

    Well the Jungle bar is for sale and he's on his way back to Canada. He will last a few weeks then he'll want to come back, maybe not to the same situation, but he'll want to come back, it happens to all of us

    Hey Dan. For once we are in the same country. 👍 I came from Mexico to Pattaya at the last part of April this year. A lot of Farang come to Pattaya for the bars, and bar girls, but I didn't. My perspective on Pattaya is a bit different. If you are still in Pattaya give me a shout.

      Welcome to Thailand Terry. We will be here for about 2 months total. Unfortunately we just left Pattaya about 4 days ago. We are working our way towards Qiang's parents house in Malaysia.

    Pattaya still a filthy place. Hopefully they clean up the city more and make the beaches friendly to everyone and clean.

      We loved it. But we spent more time in Jomtien just a few kilometers south of Pattaya.
