My 650 remote stopped working, just a spinning wheel icon. This happened to me when I changed to Duracell Ultra (Blue) batteries. I changed back to fresh Duracell normal and the remote started working immediately. Some appliances can't cope with batteries with different internal resistance. (This is most common with lithium batteries which have almost no internal resistance and need a chip to stop them exploding in certain appliances. But I don't think Ultra are lithium).

Another video on youtube solved my problem. Disassembly is the same. Problem was the contacts were dirty and were cleaned with a pencil eraser. Good fix.
